It really don't when you put the rest of the targets in comparison. Again if the PS4 Pro can do 4K/30 fps there is no way that the Series S can't do it with a higher fps target. Though as I said I fully expect it to be upscaled in order to ensure stability.
And expect that from all the versions other than the PS5/Series X. Not just this one.
Because it's anonymous source so the adms are unlikely to let it pass (against rules). And being a negative Sony news means that the free labor here will report it immediately - like they did - so there is no change of it slipping by.
It's about what I expect from the series and the developer to be honest. But at least is not broken/incomplete like Death end re;Quest 2 unfortunately was.
But I disagree a bit on the need to make the games fit to modern hardware. Because while that would be nice, I feel the writing and gameplay aspect of their games (not only the Neptunia series) need a overhaul much more urgently.
The biggest disappointment was not having a single playable character (other than promotional banner Xiao and a curta aparição do Kayea) at sight. Sure having full quests or activities with all them might have been a bit too much to ask, but at least having them in the world hanging around. Would have gone miles to sell the festival as a actual festival.
Because the end result was a very empty and sad thing.
The original title is still one of the most iconic "shooters" every released. But playing it these days can be extremely overwhelming for those that grew up with more modern takes. So I hope a lot of new people give a chance to the remake.
Well if the rest of the target resolution/fps are correct. Then it does make sense. As it was 1080p/30fps on both the PS4 and Xbox One base model. And 4K/30fps on the PS4 Pro.
Given that the Series S is much more powerful than those consoles. It running at 4K/60 fps does seem fitting. Though I would expect for this resolution to be upscaled in order to maintain the frame rate.

Do it switch automatically for the local version of the game once it's fully installed? Cause if not. Then again is not the same.
Not exactly the same. What Blizzard and a lot of MMOs do is install the basic files necessary for the game to run while downloading the rest in the background. Meanwhile this patent is for streaming the full game while the files are being downloaded.
I mean the game itself never went anywhere for it to come back. As it was available on Steam and Origin for more than a decade now. And also part of the Xbox backwards program since 2018.
This just the first official console port that it got since launch. Similar to Jedi Outcast and Academy that got ported not that long ago.
Shame most of their most recent titles did not left Japan. But they were the devs the behind Summon Night series. So they do have some pedigree. So I hope this one will come.
Good game, shame is just a port though.

While the version of the engine does impact somewhat in the porting process. My point is while the engine do play a part in the final quality of the port, it's not the only thing. Another big factor is the actual care/budget and expertise of the studio doing the work.
I mean this game could be played on the base PS4. So unless there are some serious optimization issues. This low requirements are about right.
To put in perspective. They are just about the same if not a bit higher than what Microsoft ask for their games. And lot of them can be played on a APU these days.
The engine is just one small part of what make the port good or not. DS is pretty good example of that, as the game worked much better than HZD with very few issues that got iron out relatively fast.
Now let's wait the release and the reviews. Though I doubt it will be as messy as HZD on launch, it still a console port from a company not used to make them.
Sort of weird seeing what started as a elusive and almost legendary arcade. Being featured in one of the most mainstream services out there.
Don't know what world you are living in. But since a while Valve been blocking anime games that don't even feature sexual content and the ones that do are in a even worse position. Evenicle 2 that is likely one of the most polished sexual themed games out there also got blocked by Steam not that long ago. So this days is literally a roulette if the title will be allowed or not.
Super Seducer on another hand is more obvious block. Given the controversy that the first...
Given their current track record. Is likely more ports to the Switch. It's has been a full year since their last announcement for the PS4 and almost a year and a half since their last PC one.
First I would like to have the originals easily available again. Than the remakes, that way it's assured that the classic version is still "gettable" in case de remake sucks or take unwanted liberties.
