Oddly enough I liked Star Fox Zero even behind my blue Sony labeled Glasses. It had thight focus on gameplay and seemed a lot like original with some modern twists and more open gameplay.

Sure graphical fidelity was not up the bar with new generation but aesthetics were pretty pleasing.

There are many other ways they could have helped as well. For example being able to advertise the kickstarter campaign this way was one thing. The original game didn't really reach it's audience either so they might be willing to use their resources to promote the thing near the launch as well.

They may have made a deal to fund the PS4 version if the game achieves it's funding and retains it's exclusivity (which may be timed)

Looks great, sure there's a few things that could still be improved but the fact that they are going this much in the right direction gets my thumbs up.

I hope they allow users to scale/customize some of the Rooms to allow more open environments or something. If it's just building the level from pre-defined blocks it wont be all that interesting.

Wouldn't mind a spin-off of sort with Europe as setting just to see what actually happened in the rest of the world. Title could be something very different from Fallout though.

However taking the main series off the US just seems wrong.

Whats with all the mumbo jumbo about Vita lately?
It's still doing relatively Well in Japan and it's games are frequently hitting the Top 10 in sale charts there.

Handheld gaming is a joke in the west compared to how big it's been in Japan. However both Nintendo and Sony are in danger of getting their systems overshadowed by Mobile platforms with mobage games like Puzzle and Dragons stealing the spotlight.

I am guessing that Vita will ge...

Western developers don't generally care for Handhelds, if you want to play those games you are better off without one.

Resident Evil and Devil may cry are just bad handheld games in general not to mention how both series have only gone downhill for the past few years.

Handheld war is waged in Japan, everything else is just extra.

Price cut in Japan with few bigger titles could really boost sales of the console when it's already seeing healthy spikes with each bigger release.

Interesting that they went for a spin-off rather than sequel, but at least they are not calling it Overlord 3 (*cough* Sacred 3 *cough*)

Hard to say anything else than that it sounds interesting, hard to say anything from the footage shown other than it was kinda lacking in comparison to many other dungeon crawlers.

Most people don't bother with piracy unless it's easier than normal ways. People just don't bother with it since you can just wait like half a year and get the game for quarter the price..

As a developer it's pretty clear that the guy who wrote the text has no idea how game development actually works and oversimplifies literally everything about it in his text.

You don't just simply design and make a game that takes advantage of the latest technology available for PC and Port it down to less powerful hardware. By doing so not only do you waste money, time and resources to please fraction of your audience instead of making sure that as many players as p...

As someone who plays fighters and shooters with Dualshock all I can say is that Xbox 360 stick placement I can handle, but odd right-stick placement was just awful.

It's far easier to rotate and adjust your thumb the closer it's your palm. For shooters not having D-pad always available isn't as crucial but D-pad is constantly used for reloading, grenades and tons of other actions.

Pachter was talking about Wii U here which is actually having a lot more problems than Xbox One. Microsoft has all the money and resources they need to keep Xbox one relevant (they demonstrated this pretty well by buying Mojang).

Besides it's pretty clear that western developers have mostly lost all hope in Wii U. Sure there are handful of indies that still develop on Wii u, but they'll likely target other platforms as well.

Microsoft doesn't need...

one solution yes.. but unfortunately not all solutions are good solutions.

The fact stands that most consumers are not ready/willing to allow Microsoft (or anyone else) to control everything they do with their consoles.

With Microsofts solution, they would have had the power to decide when you can play, what you can play and where you can play.

Games would have been region locked and tied to your user account effectively killing off all game ...

Whole gaming industry has gone mad.

- Publishers have successfully manipulated consumers in to thinking that buying stuff pre-owned is a bad thing.
- Gamestop has proven that consumers are stupid enough to buy overpriced used games.
- Some consumers are spending thousands of dollars to f2p games just to get their crops grow faster in Hayday.
- Steam and F2P games have succesfully been devaluing games for years now. (Why would you buy 60€/$ game on s...

//Only possible on Ps4//

The real reason is that they'll let Sony fund and publish the tittle so they can develop their "souls engine" to "next-gen" level. Since both the PS4 and Xbox one are fairly young, it also gives them opportunity to see if Xbox one and Wii u are worth it.

It makes me kinda sad how much multiplayer games have gone backwards in these few years. I mean, if we need hackers just to keep online servers alive there's just something very wrong in the industry.

In the past literally anyone with little technical knowledge and hardware could host servers where people could just play the game. This has provided games such as Doom, Battlefield, Quake, Unreal with lifespan that most modern games can only dream of.

I would be extremely content with just the digital release of the first three games in Europe. I mean the first two would probably look pretty good on Vita and the third has never seen the light of day in Europe.

Neither of these may not be 100% accurate, but still accurate enough to prove a point.

the western support for 3DS is literally non-existent. All the top selling games in the west are either developed or published by Nintendo. Most 3DS gamers simply ignore the games that haven't been developed by Nintendo.

The western support Vita has trough indie developers is actually something unheard off for handheld consoles, which might make or break the system in the west.

Sony just has to make it sure that porting a game from PS4 to Vita is as easy ...

Tbh I'm slighlty glad they did, maybe we will finally get Minecraft game for pc that is made with actual programming language, instead of Java that has always sucked for games.

Minecraft is a game that can really benefit from higher budget, too bad Microsoft will probably take advantage of this and make upcoming minecraft games and anything related to them exclusive to Microsoft platform.
