Because everything Nintendo does is new and innovative.

Not gonna happen.
Problem is that it's not possible to transfer data in an instant which means there will always be latency which is simply unacceptable for many modern games. Fixing this would take way more than 5 years. (bandwidth doesn't matter)
Personally I find the idea of streaming games from the cloud really inefficient to begin with.
We are talking about transferring megabytes of video data per second instead of maybe few bytes of game...
I've nearly read the novel with unofficial translations, it's really good and will likely turn in to one of those "gateway" visual novels for many.
a little slow occasionally but when things start to happen it get's pretty great.
I am not the only one that has problems with the pad
http://testyourmight.com/th...
There's no reason for me to adjust to it, there are better alternatives. Last thing I want is to break the D-pad or whatever from my second controller while trying to adjust to it.
I live in Norther Europe so it would be particularly impos...
Not if you prefer Pads, a lot of high level competitive players use Ds3 and Ds2 for their fighting games. It's more about preference than anything else really.
Solution is likely to use fightpad, 3rd party controller or something like CronusMAX.
Ps4 / XB1 do not even support majority of the Ps3/X360 fight sticks which is ridiculous.
When doing 236 or Quarter-circle with Vita d-pad you can hear a distinct click and feel a very noticeable physical feedback from the change. Not so with DS4 that provides you literally no feedback whatsoever from that motion.
I was constantly dropping 632146 and 2363 motions with Ds4 which I did well with the Ds3 and really well with vita.
You can disagree all you want. I play fighting games quite a lot, even competitively in the local scene and conventions.
Tried Ds4 for two weeks playing Guilty Gear Xrd and Blazblue CP. Had a lot of troubles with half-circle and quarter-circle movements and the DP motion was just awful with it.
Then the D-pad wore out and no longer gives any physical feedback when directional is pressed. It's like it's stuck down. Stiff D-pad is worst thing that contr...
Well they could start by adding native support for PS3 controllers because D-pad of DS4 is godawful for fighting games.
I consider myself somewhat a sony fanboy, but I do hope that Hololens becomes a huge hit. Infact I am more hyped about it than I am about Morpheus or Occulus.
Augmented reality tech could really use a solid platform to thrive on. I am much more interested in enhancing the world around us than wasting time on virtual worlds. Sure VR might allow a lot more fun, but AR could change the whole world and by this I mean the world around us not some imaginary world.
For my understanding Nintendo has been very active on the DLC and Amiibo front lately, which are kinda the same thing as "money thieving dlc"

While it's actually possible to know the Roman Numerals and still pronounce them as letters, I have to agree that the average gamer isn't blessed with intelligence.
some unfortunate ones do not even posses common sense which makes me wonder how can they even function. I mean sure you'd need at least some form of intellect to at least turn the console on, let alone buy one?
Make it region free and I'll consider it.
Would have bought Wii U and 3DS if it weren't for Region locks.
Don't really believe that the NX can challenge Ps4 on the home console market but at least it'll have some unique titles.
To be honest, to do this I think they need to focus on what they still do the best (most of the time) which is gameplay.
Mario games are like bible for game design, Dark souls is amazing due to it's difficulty design and great controls, Devil may cry is just C-c-c-crazy, Fighting games are usually very fluid and puzzle games are often very dynamic and fun.
Leave the "Hollywood stuff" for the west as stuff like Mass effect, Heavy Rain, Telltale ...
Seems you havent played many mobages,. They are kinda hardcore compared to western casual games. For example puzzle and dragons has more depth than average console game.
Hell they even made 3DS game based on it and made it easier for console audience...
No, key to a great handheld is to have a working system with working services and many great games. Exclusive or not doesn't really matter as long as the game is good.
Now key to a very successful product is a mystery.
//when they should've promoted it as a standalone handheld with its OWN exclusives/mascots.//
You do realize that Sony doesn't have anything like Pokemon or Mario?
Promoting a system with unfamil...
They haven't given up on the system, there's simply just no real demand for AAA-games on handhelds they work better on Ps4/PS3. Which is why Sony is no longer developing them for the system.
I mean how many 3DS games you see around with budget even close to Uncharted?
awfully lot games for system that has no 1st party support some of those are even published/developed by *gasp* Sony.

It's doing OK on Japan and in the west it seems to have pretty good following from those who are in to "Anime games"
Then there's the indie following who like to be able to play games such as Binding of Isaac and Hotline Miami on the go.
I belong to both of these groups so pretty happy with the system.
Time to lower the bar or try something new?
I always get excited when I read like 3/5 of the games title. Then I realize this is not Everybody's Golf (Hot Shots golf for NA).
Prediction is already used a lot in online multiplayer games. It can only do so much.
