Naughty Dog... Forget Jak and daxter series, instead focus on making a completely new platformer game that will revolutionize the genre like Crash Bandicoot did on Psx and Jak did on Ps2.

It's probably what most of the fans are asking really..

Some gaming PC's already do, yet there's no such game that takes full advantage of this fact. You know why? Because it's not financially viable.

Free to play games and cheap mobile games need to reach as many customers as possible, so settings system requirements high isn't really an option.

Same goes for PC games as well, most of them will have console versions and it's a lot cheaper to just make the PC version look just slightly better t...

Not really. They are just marketing it that way, since it's fairly obvious that Ps4 will not be just a gaming console and thus will pack wide array of non-gaming entertainment services as well.

But it's something they don't really need to advertise, they are Sony after all.. (widely known publisher, developer and hardware manufacturer for all things entertainment.)

To be frank, I'd love to see a new platformer from NaughtyDog. They where ridiculously good at that stuff on Ps2 and PSX, so I've been somewhat wishful they'd revolutionize the genre on Ps3 as well.

But guess it's all about cinematic shooters these days.

Well for example Nvidia shield does.

As for the others, don't know, but Android itself is fairly open platform with something like 40 digital distribution channels on it. You could even distribute your game on your own web-page if you wanted to.

Why would google do that, when others do this for them?
Just look at all these android powered gaming consoles popping left and right.

No wonder, it's a fairly compelling and powerful package even without the pro features. Not to mention it's fairly beginner friendly while still fairly flexible for professional developers.

Sure it isn't answer to everything, but then again what is?

Yeah, especially part about restrictions. He completely goes around the fact that when importing it's up to the consumers to make sure that the product doesn't violate any laws.

Not to mention the fact that Regions are flawed to begin with. E.g Europe is cluster of countries with completely different restrictions, why should country b have to deal with country a's problems?

I don't really like games becoming more like movies, so can't really say that Heavy Rain or Two Souls are my cup of tea.

I am far more interested in seeing games that go in to the direction of Dark souls and The Elder-scrolls series which both offer something movies or movie-like games cannot.

It saddens me to see so many developers still going in that direction.

It's pretty stupid to make a game from IP you don't own the rights for. Why not just make a game similar to Pokemon, it's not like you'd be the first nor the last to do so.

Sure if it's small fan game then there's nothing really wrong but getting huge project shot down just because it's not really your game to begin with is idiocy at best.

"If this industry can't find a way to make money off the primary market -- even with DLC and exclusive pre-order content and HD re-releases and map packs and online passes and annualized sequels and "expanding the audience" and AAA advertising and forced multiplayer -- then, if I may be so blunt, fuck it." - Faceless007

Same, except I am in no hurry getting PS4 as my Ps3, PSV, PSP, DS and PC backlog just recently reached the moon.

Well you are free to do so.

I don't support WiiU because of their region-locks and console tied purchases. I won't support Xbox One because of very long list of anti-consumer and anti-indie policies/restrictions. Your choice is similar.

Been PS+ subscriber from day one, and thus I am just going to deal with this, like many others.

4657d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

it's not justifiable, many of the PlayStation gamers will just deal with it. Most of the people who think this is a good thing, have probably been Ps+ subscribers for a while now.

It's a flaw or a downside whichever you prefer to call it. But it's not a deal breaker for everyone.

You mean games like Wii sports? Or just new 3rd party games on Wii in general?

There hasn't really been anything like Pikmin was for Gamecube. A brand new IP from Nintendo themselves or at least second party.

Just thinking about all digital console sends shivers down my spine. That would give it's consumers, exactly one channel to buy their games from.

One game, one price no exceptions. Everything goes trough the platform holder and they get the final say on what gets sold and at what price and with restrictions.

what if, game is not available in your region?
What if your region get's censored, dubbed or just somehow shittier version of the game? ...

Nintendo how about new Ip's?
They could allow smaller budgets and faster development times without risking the quality of existing Ip's.

It's silly how many people seem to defend this and try to spin it as a good thing.

It's a disappointment, but one that many can deal with it. Those who can't, well it's not like anyone is forced to buy a console.

Personally, don't really care I have been PS+ subscriber since day one, and thus I am pretty much chained to the service.

He's just doing his job, and pretty well if you ask me. Being in center of so much negative media attention must be hell for him.

Xbox one wasn't designed by just one person. If you want to hate someone, hate Microsoft for designing console like this.

If you look at the Xbox One features, you can see how desperately they are trying to push all those Windows 8 tablets and phones. It's likely that many of these decisions have come from above the Xbo...

It's not money they lack, it's this thing called Time. Developing a competitive console takes time and effort, not just money.

If it didn't, you'd already be playing Zelda and Metroid for WiiU.
