Sounds pretty good. The Game has a few pretty rough edges so it's nice to hear they are fixing those.
@WeAreLegion
Sure Google could easily port their Google Play store to Vita. But to get the full catalog of games they have to Vita would require porting them all which they simply can't do.
Besides if Mobile dev wants their game for Vita, they can do so trough PlayStation Mobile. Some have already done so.
This is mostly because Apple is doing really bad job at separating the gems from all the garbage that's been thrown in to the store.
Many good new games get nearly no visibility from the store which is rapidly making Android and Windows phone a lot more tempting platforms.

Been playing this for few days now (PS3) and I have to admit that it is pretty good. Sure it still has rough edges here and there, but controls and action is pretty solid.
The game could use some more depth and player interaction tough. But really liking the big open world and missions popping left and right.
Not really.
It just means, you can focus on the game instead of trying to implement new ways to stream data from the disk, HDD or the internet.
Developers store all kinds of data like Textures, Sounds, texts, numbers to the Ram when developing the game. If you run out of RAM you need to remove stuff from the RAM to make room for new stuff to be processed.
Content streaming is a pretty bad bottle neck on some systems and games. E.g Diablo3 a...
There where some memory and save data issues here and there. If they manage to fix those in their next game it'll be good.
Hopefully this means great things for Cocos2d and Cocos2d-x.
If you got it from somebody, you used your social skills to obtain one of the rarest items in the game.
Grinding however isn't hard, it's more of "an act of endurance" (not act of skill). Many people already do such feats in their everyday lifes if their work is monotonous.
As a developer I can say it's not just the development costs. Size of the team(s) plays fairly big role on the development of the game.
It's far easier to turn on a lightweight sports car than it's with a 10-ton truck full of people, you can literally make important game design chances on the fly with a small team.
The motivation in such team is often far greater due to impact that all of the team members can make in the development process. In su...
Sounds promising, lots of the indies have gone strictly mobile and/or PC mainly due to the fact how difficult and expensive it has been to get something on consoles.
If Sony does this right, the indies might be actually the ones to boost up Vita sales. Each of these has a chance to become hit like Minecraft.
Steam has this feature called the Offline-mode, which allows you to play games while your machine is off-line.
Used it just yesterday when my Modem decided to break down. (had basically zero connection to the internet at that time)
Offline mode has always been a bit buggy tough, there was time where I needed to "initialize" offline mode when I was online just so that It would work next time I booted my computer in non-connected enviroment.

@TheGrimOfDeath
My thoughts exactly. Not to mention there's no need to transfer or Re-buy games bought from PSN. One can just re-download them on new system and continue playing them (on both). Giving you even more games.
But indies often hit harder than hard hitters. Doesn't that mean indie can be hard hitter as well?
Seriously I love this months PS+ update.
It's shows the services potential to force feed great games that didn't get the attention they deserve to gamers who only buy shooters, sequels and other popular titles.
It could potentially help gamers find new games, genres they might not even considered before.
Both Okami and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward are great titles which everyone should at least try.
@Blacktric
For my understanding you can install whatever you want to Android, just like PC. You're not limited to appstore, PSN or XBLA.
Why are you people so upset with him? It's not like you are forced to agree with his opinions and criticism.
I don't really care what he says, as long as he makes good games. For my understanding Fez was considered pretty good by many.
Words are just words, anyone can talk trash.
Fans should check-out the upcoming Timesplitters rewind. Sure it's gonna be fan made but sounds rather promising and has approval from Crytek.
Origins..? really now.
I really hope they'll throw that name in to the garbage and figure out something better.
I'm getting sick of these shitty title name extensions like origins, revolution, revelations, reloaded, underground, retribution, rebirth, retaliation etc.
Personally I think the original Bioshock had better intro than Bioshock infinite. Andrew Ryans quotes just packed so much more punch than those found in Infinite.
But if intro includes tutorial, then Infinite had far better one.
