Phil didn’t think the new consoles needed an update because of his belief that Xbox Series X should be the same as Xbox One. But I suspect he got caught off guard at the positive reaction to the new PS5 interface with Digital Foundry praising it for being 4K. Sure most people don’t notice but it is something I think we will see soon on Series X.

There is a clear upgrade to the character models and the 3D objects in front as they are all sharper, but with the backgrounds i can’t see much difference.

Surely a contract was agreed between both parties before development began? If not, and Microsoft spent its own funds remaking GoldenEye then it's a highly disappointing outcome but you can't build a game on a promise.

If it turned out to be PS5 I would be beyond shocked, I’d have to sit down and have a glass of water! I suspect this will be the streaming platforms like Stadia and Amazon’s new service. But it is a good idea as it might expose people to Halo who then want to buy an Xbox Series X to play Halo Infinity.

The Digital Foundry video explains that in photo mode neither console is being pushed in the same way a game requires so the photo mode is able to take advantage of the raw GPU Tflops. As the Series X has got a faster GPU this is why it has better results in photo mode.

Checking the internet it was 2-3 hours in length so EA should have put the money in so that it could be recreated.

The game is included with PS Plus. I will play and judge the game for myself and if the microtransactions are intrusive then I will moan. Until then, I'm looking forward to seeing what it's about.

Ghosts of Tsushima released in July 2020 later got an update. TLOU2 was released in June and was Sony’s biggest game of the year, but it hasn’t received the same treatment. The fact that Sony made a Spider-Man Remastered game makes me suspect a PS5 remastered edition is likely.
Look, Final Fantasy VII is an awesome premium game so it's great to have it included with PS Plus in March (I haven't finished it yet but plan to now.)
