I'm sure Sony will hold a PlayStation press event this year that will reveal multiple games, but I don't think it will be in June either. The reason last year its PS5 Future of Gaming press event was in June was because it needed to formally reveal the PS5 to the mass public to kick off the hype and sales process in time for the November release. Now it's not participating in E3 it doesn't need to be tied to a June date.

Epic sold the IP for Gears of War to Microsoft because at the time it didn't have enough money to develop the game independently with the triple-A budget it deserved. It's funny to think that if it had kept it, the Fortnite profits would have been more than enough to make top quality sequels.
