Leave aside the issue of brand new games, if you can afford an Xbox or PlayStation you can get the accompanying subscription service. SO MANY GAMES! Before PS Plus with games included launched if you wanted a 'new' game you had to buy it, either new or by going the second hand shop (in the UK this was GAME or CEX). It was a one-at-a-time experience and it cost money. Now people are spoilt for choice. There's not enough lifetimes for you to play even the best games included with th...
@Wommens @Potdy Keep creating those alt accounts!
The truth is Forza, Gears and Halo and Starfield and the WHOLE SLATE will be going to PlayStation.
Microsoft has sold more copies of Forza on PS5 then it did on Xbox Series S/X.
The RAM price rise could lead to the 'Xbox PC' being delayed - if that happens Microsoft might not release it at all.
Stop running defence for a trillion-dollar company that doesn't know you exist.
@Christopher et al. Regarding PlayStation 'NEVER' getting Starfield, I was merely meme-ing the many who vehemently said and believed the same the same thing! Now the holy trinity has been confirmed I thought it obvious to everyone that means the whole slate is going to PlayStation.
Also, 'tis true I have not played Avowed for myself, but the reviews I read and watched when it launched were mostly critical, hopefully the big update fixes all that. As will the big...
PlayStation might have got the Mickey Mouse RPG, Avowed, but it will NEVER get Starfield - and you can quote me on that!
Hi,
I have an older account, because of the tech issues it means I can rarely view my own profile and I regularly cannot view the website on Safari on iPad. Judging by the replies to standard interest articles it seems like there has been a knock on effect on engagement.
I used to go to a once popular video game forum, but after a period of tech problems members went away and many never came back (I must add that there were 'progressives' who thought it was...
@S2Killinit That's exactly what I was thinking. Engagement has dropped off a cliff here except for the megaton news stories. So seeing the first comment receive 80 down votes seems suspicious, it's simply not important enough to get people to comment. So I too suspect the downvotes come from the Alt person. Can you imagine being THAT sad, THAT lonely, that you create all these accounts just to bot vote a comment you disagree with? I hope they find better ways to fill their life.
Remember all the websites that tried to cancel the game? It triggered the games media so much many refused to review it (Eurogamer + many more), or they they low-scored the game not because of its quality but because of the trans issues (The Guardian.) They to alienate the public to such a degree that it backfired and it lost them the trust of their readers. How many have had layoffs or gone to the wall since then? Kotaku, Polygon, Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247, etc...
I’m looking forward to her coming to Call of Duty.
Piers Morgan isn't a fan.
If they have any sense they will call it Final Fantasy VII: Chiaroscuro Part 33.
‘Stupid gamers, prove you’re cool by hating what we hate - AI!’
Honestly, you sheep getting your knickers in a twist because the crowd told you to.
AI is inevitable, you can stop the future and you certainly didn’t complain about th AI in the hundreds of games that have used AI in one form or another included racing games with AI racers or FPS games with AI opponents or games like ARC Raiders that have generative voice lines or FIFA Football for NPC tacti...
So no PS5 Pro sorry either?
This sounds like a good move to me; CD PROJEKT Red make the game engine once and craft the world and the full story, then for each of the next two chapters they spend two years on making the adventure. I wish Bethesda had done this with Skyrim so we had new adventures.
Remember, GTA III was released in 2001 with its sequel GTA: Vice City just one year later in 2002. And GTA: San Andreas in 2004. Same engine but tweaked for all the games and they are all time classics.
Gabe must be bricking it.
@bionicstar It will play PC games set to a unique Xbox profile.
BAD MODERATION FROM N4G - fair but humorous and critical comments were hidden with the Spam label being incorrectly used for the cover up.
@Cordovas Great comment! 🤣
This Steam Machine when it’s released will demonstrate what a modern PC can be, compact, fast start, quick resume, software profiles (probably) so there’s no having to fiddle with settings and Steam OS for productivity work. If Microsoft can offer the same but with a much higher spec, Xbox back compat, and dual operating systems then it could be a very exciting (premium) alternative. I do think MS will tease something sooner rather than later.
I'm hoping this pushes Microsoft to reveal, or at least tease, its Xbox PC at the Game Awards.
What if Netflix becomes ‘the Netflix of gaming?!’
