I bet he would love to make a next-gen Gears of War game, Microsoft should give him a call.
I don't know why everybody is doubting these 300 million predicitions, if we all promise to buy three PS5s it will happen.
"According to The Verge’s Jeff Grubb, Microsoft has already clarified this news to influencers and it was specifically mentioned in the embargo that they received along with the Xbox Series X. They asked not to dwell on the UI details"
This is the problem with influencers' early access. On one hand it's great to hear these first-hand views when we're all eager for news. But on the other hand there is a string of 'guidelines' and rules that dire...
Patches for improved frame rates and resolution as well as cards and activities for the PS5 UX would be a great way to showcase the PS Plus Collection which includes many of the best games from this generation.
If Firaxis can bring Civilisation VI to Xbox then surely Microsoft can bring Age of Empires III to it.
Yep, it's definitely beyond the concept stages. I was thinking about PSVR2 today and I'm pretty sure it's going to be wireless. Oculus Quest 2 in the UK is £299, US $299. I've received multiple questionnaires over the past year or so from Sony asking me about the convenience aspect, they are aware that it is an issue and what is so enticing about Oculus Quest is the wireless ease of using it.
PSVR 2 will use the computing power of PS5, it won't nee...
Call me an optimist but I don't necessarily think this is the end of the PS1, PS2, PS3 backwards compatibility dream! The reality is Sony has a 110+ million install base of PS4 owners so it was paramount to carry them over to the new generation so that's why it has invested in getting this working. But what Sony will discover through the player use metrics is just how much PS5 owners use PS4 games. It will see how valuable this is and may then look to conceivably expand compatibility ...
@giveyerheadawobble "it can't be translated with a flat TV. It's things like this that confirm that VR isn't just for 1st person, but it has the potential to make any genre of gaming more personal, interactive, immersive, and better."
That's a great way to explain the VR experience.
@richierich On the PlayStation Blog story answering questions on BC it says "Some titles with unlocked frame rates or dynamic resolution up to 4K may see higher fidelity." This is an oblique reference that games that have a dynamic resolution MAY have that increased! It's not a firm statement but it's the most we've got so far.

You mean I can't play We Sing???
No fan noise is music to my ears! There’s a ton of favourite PS4 games I will want to continue playing on PS5 without that background fan whirring up.
Nice review. I want to see what it's like with Darth Vader standing in front of me staring me down!
There was never a problem with the original actor who played Peter Parker, he looked like the comic book character. No review, no person said ANYTHING about a body-face mismatch. It seems like this change was made to make the character look closer to Spider-Man movie actor Tom Holland. I don’t think Insomniac have been transparent about the reason for the change, and it’s one that was unnecessary.
I said it before and I’ll say it again; as we stride into October it should be Sony who reveals all the details and features of its newest console not letting the good work and good news be leaked piecemeal.
@NecrumOddBoy. In the UK and most European countries almost everything you can buy has a sales tax of 20% (it varies) included in the sale price.
And that's why I've preordered the PS5 with disc drive, so I've got the option of renting out expensive games I know I won't want to keep.
It's almost October. It's about time Sony gives us the full breakdown of the PS5, the hardware, the controller the UI and how backwards compatibility work. Not leave it so long everything is leaked by third-parties.
Series SIX? Stop trying to make fetch happen!
I never predicted this!
I assumed Gamestop, like GAME in the UK, would slowly decline. So more options to rival Amazon is good for the consumer.
That headline cracks me up!
