So, US tariffs are so bad that only Nintendo is affected? Only Switch 2 is going up in price globally while other consoles are staying the same price since before Switch 2 launched. Xbox raised prices allegedly $100 globally, while PS raised prices of the standard and digital PS5 by $40 in 4 Western regions, excluding the US Pro's price is unchanged and some PS5 accessories also went down in price in the same regions seeing price adjustments.
So, reportedly, an Australian activist group by the name of "Collective Shout" has pressured payment processors to stop selling "s*xually violent," "r*pe," and "incest" games hosted on Steam and Itch.io... why didn't they redact letters from "incest" I wonder?
This organization claims to be independent, but I have my reservations that they aren't leaning hard to one political side just based on how they write the wor...
@gigoran8
Correct! This appears to basically be the result of globalization and lazy corporations.
Apparently no one reads anymore. If only those we were replying to understood that this has potentially been covered already.

What is this talk about religious zealotry being the cause of AO game removals from digital storefronts? I already shutdown Nacogi's ridiculous claims that an introduced bill potentially years from becoming law, where in this case the bill is malformed and unlikely to become a law at all - assuming lawyers are okay at their jobs. Or else I'm missing something because I'm not a lawyer, but in my non-lawyerly opinion, this bill can not become a law because it tries to remove somethi...
🤣 Someone needs to learn how to read. This bill was introduced in May of 2025. This bill is still in the earliest stage of becoming a law. I'm not convinced that Republicans would sign it if is says what you claim. So what's the bill say?

SIE... PS has no choice but to fight because the settlement was rejected. I'm not sure if that judgment can be appealed or not. I don't doubt that this is another fraudulent lawsuit and I do doubt that Nintendo will be sued for doing the very same thing. MS' Xbox division is the only publisher of the big 3 that still sells full game codes at retailers. My money is on MS spurring this lawsuit on as they did with Immersion and PS back in 2004 or so. That wound up hurting everyone bu...
I'm confused about this, too because at least one of the sites you listed says it has PSN codes. So, why are some places not allowed to sell PSN cards and others are?
No one cares that Nintendo stopped selling 1st party game codes across Europe in 2020 and is ending it's game voucher program globally in before February 2026.
@CRASHBASHUK
That program ends January 30th 2026

Nintendo stopped selling full game codes for their 1st party games in 2020 across Europe (the most well-regulated market on Earth) and no one gave a single s•••.
The people replying here don't know about this, "Nintendo has decided to scrap the sale of digital download codes for its games at European retailers, effective from 1st July, 2020.
For years now, Nintendo fans have had a number of different ways to purchase their favourite games. You can ... even buy a download code for certain games from your favourite - and often cheaper - retailers. ... Nintendo has confirmed the decision to end the availability of download cod...
Sony didn't stop selling anything. PlayStation is a separate company and they stopped allowing gift cards (or Fast Cards in America) to make key codes for retail. Their reasoning per GameStop at the time was no deeper than to keep things in line with the rest of the world. Which part of the world? No idea, PS never responded to this issue at all. I'm not sure why the lawsuit claims it's Sony Corp on the hook for this when the article lists "Sony Interactive Entertainment"...
That isn't what's going to happen here.
Ridiculous, the ruling and most of the comments here. Firstly PS isn't the only company not selling digital game Fast Cards. Nintendo doesn't allow this for their 1st party releases since April of 2020, but that is a rule applying only to Nintendo's own games not 3rd party titles. Steam also doesn't sell cards like these where I live anymore. Only Xbox has digital game codes available on Fast Cards or "gift cards" for most of the world, which I'm assuming might r...
The argument will be that other HW sold better based on sales data that we can only extrapolate. It makes some sense that PS5 selling more than 1 million units in a day and shipping 3.4 million units at launch and selling out the same day probably conferred with more than 1.6 million in sales. Of course how long did that actually take?
We'll never really know, but Circana doesn't actually know anything by their own admission either... so. This is just a rumor, no?
3 sentences to explain how you only needed 1 to dismiss several clear examples of Switch 2 coming up short next to PS4. I guess the math in my comment is too much for you? I'm really only hoping to squash tech illiteracy, here.
@Neonridr
Not to be too cruel but that's the same argument which technologically illiterate people I've been arguing against elsewhere have been using. One positive example sets the rule while you ignore several more which disprove it. Consider that Switch 2 runs CP77's DLC like a bad 3rd party port on PS3. Then of course there are at least 4 other examples of Switch 2 managing worse graphics than PS4 in the same games sometimes at one quarter resolution with worse framer...
Here's another way to look at my last comment.
Switch 2 vs PS4 rasterization performance.
HogLeg showcases 56% better pixels/sec on PS4 and PS4 has better visuals with more elegantly failing upscaling per data from Oliver Mackenzie of DF.
Cyberpunk 2077 pumps out nearly 35% more pixels/sec than NS2 with better shadows in all cases and better geometry in nearly every scene. Performance can be less stable on PS4 and lower overall, but generally...
It really isn't. Switch 2's GPU is more modern, but it's clearly significantly weaker than those inside the launch model PS4 systems and possibly even Xbox One VCR edition even when Switch 2 is docked. The CPU is weaker than PS4's as well. Switch 2 has 9GB of RAM which is more than the entire Xbox One X system. Storage speeds are faster even when we consider SSDs which are an option for PS4 users and it does make a difference in loading times and streaming on PS4 systems per D...
Switch 2 (NS2) is weaker than the base PS4 in most of the important ways. Let's get the positives out of the way first. NS2 has faster storage is at least 10 times more energy efficient in terms of absolute power consumption figures as well as 3 & 5 times more efficient than PS5 & PS4 at rendering the same games respectively - maybe I'll have the space to explain this, later. NS2 is a portable device that can play games locally without internet in most cases and has 9GB of RAM...
What you wrote is true of nearly all internet conversations.
If US tariffs are to blame why is PS, which is a Japanese company making and shipping PS5s manufactured in China to customers in the US, where imports from China are the single largest target of Trump's tariffs, yet completely unaffected by Trump's tariffs in the US where there were no price increases in 2025 with nothing on the horizon, so far?
Meanwhile Xbox raised prices of all HW and accessories globally by $80 to $120 depending on the console with accessories i...
