@loftlanser
Ok this is my last reply (unless you reply again)
You: "You're joking, right? Do you come to this site often? Just check out some of the articles around TotK that got released. I'm not doing your work for you mate. Comments similar to those I anticipated have happened, so luckily you didn't have to 'wait' long ;) Though I see you've put in a 'clearly show' clause, which means you always have the option to simply say 'that ...

"[MS'] 'History of killing devs'. Well, firstly that's subjective..."
No it's not, MS has terminated 2 more devs in the past 17 years than PS has over the past 29 years since PS was first established. Many of MS' dev closures had a single stinker financially speaking before being shut down.
"...and secondly, even we say it's true, it means nothing in the context of my post. I specifically called out ce...

"Stop getting so much of your personal identity from a plastic box mate."
The person slingling such ridiculous statements is typically the one with such an identity crisis. Not sure how much of your identity comes from a plastic box, but none of mine does.
You again: "1: You admit it's not a monopoly? Good. Doesn't change the fact I was referring to those who say it would be, of which there are some on this site. If you...

"People were calling for him to address Redfall."
Phil's time to address Redfall's issues was before it released and he clearly dropped the ball there... as usual.
@Om4ever
"The 360 was so much better than PS3"
Wow, buddy... NO IT WASN'T!
About the only thing better on Xbox's side was the ability to swap out game music from the OS menu system which MS patented and trademarked so PS and Nintendo couldn't do the same. PS dodged that patent by having PS Vita launch the music app separately and they did the same on PS4 and PS5 using a partnership with Spotify 3rd party apps and widgets.

@AuraAbjure
When has MS admitted Xbox was profitable?
"Revenue" and "profits" are not synonymous terms, you can make 22 million on a game's sales yet still not breakeven meaning you actually recorded a loss in operating income.
A "loss" is the exact antonym of "profit".
@darthv72
Dude... hate to say it but MS was never any good in the PC gaming department either they only started getting good when they acquired Bungie in 2001.
War as a business is already a thing it was a thing decades before the first Metal Gear game on MSX.
To steal some words from isarai "that's not how that works" especially when you know that the best Switch emulator (Yuzu if you feel differently, you're just wrong) still can't run BoTW at 60FPS unlocked on far more powerful GPUs including GPUs that vastly outstrip PS5/XSX. The rigs I've seen trying to push 60 are rocking 13th gen CPUs and an RTX 4090.
Seeing as how the 4090 just came out half a year ago and has a $1,600 RRP.... Abear21 is sounding pretty co...
It's sad how many deluded PC fans liked this conmment... clearly they don't know Yuzu and Ryujinx run pretty badly and cannot push BoTW at 60FPS on hardware MORE ADVANCED than PS5/XSX.
Also how many PC guys are really doing important stuff on their computers. If they're smart not many.
@FortWaba, isarai and ufo8mycat
You're all wrong and FortWaba is most definitely a child in a cognitive sense here.
More specifically at isarai who idiotically wrote: "PC has more uses than a switch, also you can emulate on like $700, probably like $550 if you buy used and price hunt. Lastly, many people who pirate still actually buy the game, but when you have the option to run it better than the switch can, why not?"
None of that is relevant in the f...
Must have visited recently and drank the contaminated saltwater water in LA.
How did ABK burn bridges with PS? Failed acquisition deals with a rival don't necessarily mean companies are in a new type of competition. I don't think this will hurt the relationship ABK has with PS.
Maybe MS should figure out how to release some games first!?
If MS were a good gaming company I wouldn't care about this acquisition.
Unfortunately as MS stands today they're just terrible, I'm glad this was blocked hopefully their appeal also fail, this is a clear attempt to steal loads of IP to sit on and do nothing with just so PS might lose some market share.
@loftlanser
"They say contradictory things like, 'MS buying ABK would be close to a monopoly, which would be awful for gamers as there'd be less choice' but then, in another article, will say, 'MS needs to leave the console space'...which would of course leave Sony on it's own since Nintendo aren't really competing for the same space. That would be way closer to a monopoly."
There are two distinct points being made here but you...
If that were true most gamers would be on PC primarily...
But they aren't!
Sure dude you keep believing DF said that and even if they did. I've seen those videos before I don't think they said Crysis on Switch is better than on PS4. You might be confusing that for IQ in Alien: Isolation which is better on Switch over PS4. Even so models, grass, framerate all better on PS4 over Switch along with resolution.
Oh that... that was Microsoft's fault!
If only they didn't make promises that even the most technologically illiterate politicians could easily flag as a total lie.
As a company MS has acquired over 180 companies and most of them failed with over 11 game developers closed in the past 17 years vs PS' 10 over 29 years!
ABK under MS' stewardship is not going to be good for gaming. Would be amazing for Bobby Kotick though.
Haven't played GoW:R but I have played the other two on PS5 and I think of those last two R&C:RA is more impressive visually and from a scale perspective than H:FW. Each level in R&C:RA is basically as big as H:FW and while you can argue it's mostly set-dressing it kind of isn't when you can clip out of bounds and fly to far off places and look back at the playable area from 5+km away often standing on objects with collision. Sargasso and Nefarious City are huge, but reall...
