It's the publishers that care too much about Metacritic. They'll doll out extra bonuses for deva whose games earned top marks but Metacritic is bought and paid for by journalist engagement. A weird parasitic relationship between MC and game journos.

"BC for DS4 for PS5 games,.."
What would be great about that?
DualSense's "Adaptive Triggers" (AT) are actually legitimately helpful in some games like GT7 and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.
In GT7 AT helps you judge breaking even better than without it. The console offers 4 AT settings "Strong" "Medium" "Weak" and "Off" the game itself offers 3 settings "Strong" "Weak" and "Off...

That PSN already did for years, it was then called "PS Now" now it's called PS+ Premium and neither cloud gaming feature is a console feature.
Yeah the article is this backwards.

1 We can use DS4 on PS5 in PS4 games only.

2 We have menu button arrangement options already, but sure folders are missed a bit. I guess this is a little win for Series systems.

3 Game Pass is bad all the way around it offers less games at a higher cost than PS+ Extra never mind PS+ Premium. Besides GP isn't an Xbox Series feature. Remember the article title "9 Things Xbox Series X Can Do That The PlayStation 5 Can't", but PC and Xbox On...

Over 5 million by Dec 2022 on PS4 and 5 alone.
ACC was in Paid Early Access since Sep 2018, fully released May of 2019 on PC. ACC came to consoles in Feb 2022.

5 million in about 9 months on one platform vs 28 million in 54 months on PC plus the PS4 and Xbox One versions coming out in 2020 and their next gen versions releasing Feb of 2022.
So...

It does amount to a 100k unit per month sales bump over GT7 on PS4 and PS5 comparing the 5 mi...

Honestly, I didn't know he voiced Sylens character, but this is sad not only because 60 is not exactly elderly and he looked way younger than 60 in my opinion especially in John Wick 3, but also because next to Aloy Sylens is my favorite character in the Horizon series.

I don't think they can send Sylens off in The Horizon series so whatever is next for the character I know Lance Reddick brought life to the role and he will be missed.

That said ev...

Don't know why people are disagreeing this is something Xbox will certainly do. Give it to them "free" for now so they can get the ABK sale through only to force the other pubs to pay later for continued support or take the franchise away in the hopes that people will make the leap to Xbox.

Seems like a thing scummy companies like MS would do.

The isssue isn't about the other things it's a out the primary lie that PenTile displays use less subpixels.
Samsung invented the PenTile pixel array and the modern Diamond Pixel and subpixel configuration. If you look at most modern OLED phone screens like basically any Samsung phone made since 2015 and Apple phones they all use this configuration and each pixel has four subpixels not two not the conventional three four. One red, one blue and two green sub...

Even the idea that there are less subpixels per pixel is wrong. The PenTile Diamond Pixel contains four subpixels per pixel.

3>4 in Germany though, at least according to the "journalists" that wrote this article.

No compromise on pixel configuration, Germans apparently forgot how to count and these days cannot see either.
The Diamond Pixel array is every bit as sharp as standard pixels.

Most displays we use today are using this configuration and standard CRTs which many are now using to reduce resolution without seeing significant drops in image quality are comprised of much larger square pixels staggered like brick wall turned 90°. It's ridiculous that people are ...

Pentile array has 4 subpixels per pixel as opposed to 3.

...But as we know from the high quality German public education system 4 is less than 3!

PSVR didn't suffer from the screen door effect in the same way other VR headsets were said to (though I can't compare them because I only ever used the original PSVR). I noticed it in some cases playing AC7 on PS4, but ironically it was more noticeable in darker scenes.

So having the standard sqare wasn't an issue and rotating that sqare 45 degrees won't make a massive difference, but increasing the resolution will and that did happen. Samsung supposedly mad...

Color depth, contrast and total brightness all improved on PSVR2.
So this journalist is still wrong.

But you don't notice when your phone or OLED PC monitor uses the exact same pixel array configuration...
Weird.

It's true that most people don't understand color models. I'll say I'm no expert myself.

"All "delivery" video formats (the stuff you actually watch) is 4:2:0. Pro-codecs for editing and capture sometimes use 4:2:2, and 4:4:4 is typically only ...

"And yet that is exactly what occurs in capitalist markets globally."
No buddy that's not called capitalism it's called corruption and that happens everywhere. It happened in Soviet Russia which wasn't Capitalist and in China right now which also isn't Capitalist.

Oh good this only happens in cases where people leave the system off for more than a couple years. Not really an unbelievable problem it could effect the PS5 and Xbox Series S and X as well as the Nintendo Switch as well. This is just an issue with Charge Trap Flash NAND storage. Cheaper stuff lasts only a few years or so while the good CCF NAND storage can be powered down for about a decade before corruption from charge loss occurs. If you want to keep your modern HW active even if things go...

You: "Do you think that maybe, just maybe, this capitalism thing has gone just a tad too far?"

If you think lobbying to make your company bigger is Capitalism, you need to to educate yourself about Capitalism.
Capitalism is about earning your place in the market NOT BUYING IT or compelling the government to make their business relevant like Microsoft is trying to do.
