@ApocalypseShadow
I don't think MS bought that tech I think they just stole it, but used a LiDAR sensor in the Kinect to slide by the patents probably exclusive to PS2 AR that EyeToy was achieving with a single webcam lens.
Also Kinect worked in the dark (EyeToy couldn't manage that) because it had that LiDAR emitter and reciever, because of all that extra processing the PS2 EyeToy was actually turning the gamer a more responsive human controller than Kinect could ma...
I turn of haptics and leave Adaptive Triggers on and often see a significant improvement to battery life. Turning off all creature comfort settings and the battery life is improved to something close to 13 hours. I also run the batteries dry.
If you charge up as soon as PS5 says the battery is low you're missing out on hours of additional game time. I'm convinced most people do plug in as soon as they see that message. That message basically displays when there is ...
Thought the speaker was pretty flimsy... until I used the controller into my PC to play R&C and heard all the game's audio piped through the gamepad. Got a newfound respect for the acoustic prowess of the Dualsense's speaker!
@Rocketisleague
You'd think MS would figure out how their own platforms work by now?
Github is owned by MS.
iPhone 15 Pro Max's version of RE Village is using PS4 assets running at a resolution lower than PS4's 900p (720p on iOS according to some YT reviewers who have some access and tried the demos) at 30FPS with noticably worse settings than PS4 (again, according to those who played the demo).
It's a good thing devs are passing Xbox over entirely then.
@crazyCoconuts
Of that they just couldn't make it work... like most other things in past BSG games. That would actually a believable explanation and is probably more honest.
@ Jin_Sakai
Woosh!
The joke is Starfield's worlds are barren, and lifeless... JUST LIKE REAL LIFE.
The game can't even make convincing escapism by filling these planets with interesting life and lots of great stuff to do on 90% of them instead the team left 90% of them barren and lifeless.
@Shane Kim
The US Dollar is also losing value by the day... just not anywhere near at the same rate as the Turkish Lira.
If Starfield was like that it would be seen as a rip-off of Haven: Call of The King, even though the gameplay loop is nothing like H:CoTK. At least Haven ran at 60FPS... on PS2 no less.
@Jin_Sakai
Apparently it is a 3D object with a low resolution image plastered on top of it. Nothing remotely difficult to render at all especially on Xbox Series PS5 consoles and modern PCs.
Alien Isolation had far more detailed maps than what is depicted here. You could actually tell where you can walk just by taking a peek at the map. Not here obviously.
As far as the scoring measurement itself is concerned, it totally is.
No one wants a 2.0 GPA, but it doesn't change the fact that a 2.0 GPA is bog average. If you are under 2.0 (a "C" in the letter grading scheme), you aren't showing that you are learning at an average rate and therefore are failing. So a 2.0 out of 4.0 game would be taking stuff from other games... kind of like how Starfield is just another Bethesda game with a fresh coat of paint taking bits from NMS and chunks from Mass Effect.
You sound like an idiot.
I literally explained why it doesn't matter at all. How could you disagree with that... I explained you are an idiot that doesn't know the only way it could matter is if PS increases Remote Play to 120hz.
@sosro
Which is exactly why PS as a company is profitable while Xbox is not. Xbox's revenue might be the best its ever been according to Phil Spencer, but Xbox isn't actually making money for Microsoft so far as I understand their annual and quarterly IR earnings reports.
@thespftware730
Totally why Xbox also increased the price for Xbox 1st party games and now has pre-release purchases for full-price along with bog standard full-price pre-orders.
Nintendo is also doing this.
I hope it doesn't take off anywhere and they realize console gamers actually appreciate quality games, unlike many mobile gamers.
GT7 wasn't broken at launch and it had the big name tracks there day one. GT7 only added a couple tracks since launch and silently upgraded existing ones to better reflect the current layouts and trackside scenery.
Talk about GT7's monetization model was higely exaggerated to the point of literal absurdity, GT7's microtransactions and game economy didn't radically change from launch. Additionally it was never anywhere near as expensive to buy cars with real ...
It doesn't matter to MS because in their mind, like in the minds of Xbox fanboys right now, all MS wants... is to win.
