"This seems very complicated and I don’t think Sony is going to lose this case. They may have to alter the way they do business online."
If PS win nothing likely would change. And why should it?
If PS lose they would probably be compelled to alter the way they run their digital stores.

"If publishers don't have to pay that 30% then I can only speculate that they would be less likely to add microtransactions to their games."

Why are there microtransactions in FH5 and Halo Infinite then? There are also macrotransations in MSFS2020 and tiny numbers of nanotransactions in FM23 at present. These should not exist according to you because MS takes home 100% revenue on the games they make, but that's not happening. The same is true on Nintendo N...

Can't you also buy digital codes for PSN games on Amazon?
I've never done it buy I'm fairly certain this was a thing late in PS3's life cycle or early in PS4's.

That moron places all the blame on Sony for this. The problem is that this isn't Sony's content, it's Discovery's content. Sony owes the users nothing, and that might sound harsh, but it's not Sony's fault. That said, I do wonder if this effects Microsoft (who also had a video store on Xbox 360)? Nintendo deleted video content forever and everyone was like, "That's cool, please •••• me more and way harder, Nintendo!" Sure, we're talking about little s...

This is a huge deal...
But this somehow isn't: https://n4g.com/news/257686...

Make it make sense.
The same thing is happening to both things here. A video content provider is making games content go bye-bye but Discoveries thingy seems to only effect PS while this Universal collab affects everyone (PC,...

@Pete
The content is streaming only.
You can't download it hence why it is disappearing forever. Did this happen on PS3 where you could download the content? No. There is a reason for that.
Streaming is the next frontier of you will own nothing and be happy.

But you can still rip streamed data at full quality. This is the only way to get back outside of torrenting content.

The content isn't Sony's to have and hold fo...

**"Any "evidence" you can provide will be flimsy and worthless in my view, so providing it is pointless."**
Flat Earth Gaming? There is only one truth, Microsoft did poorly for 22 years straight with Xbox 360 being their most successful device with critical software for the brand... MS just couldn't make it work and that's why they're always in last place.

The evidence we have to back up our claims, MS also provide...

Steam's commission is also 30%.
They are liable to be sued as well if the UK wins this lawsuit.

What do you think we created AI for?
To make tests that N4G posters fail so no crap articles can be posted by illiterate users... that's what AI exists for!

Or what it should be for.

PS Portal being a remote player already probably introduces too much latency to play games via PS Now through PS5.

PS Portal is so-named because it might be useable on PS6.

@olMyerslo
"Tody...the average modern phone screen size is 6.2 inches. PS Portal is 8 inches."

You clearly also ignore the fact that remote play is 16:9 aspect only.
Your phone might have a 6.2 inch screen (measured diagonally) but if it's 18.5:9 or some strange aspect that is not 16:9 that 1.8 inches actually becomes more like 4 inches versus 8 inches. We're talking about as large as the OG PSP's screen area.

So PS...

Exactly, people are acting like using PS Portal takes away features from other devices now. PS Portal just removes the requirement to use those other devices to do the same thing... it doesn't make it so those other devices can't use remote play anymore. To me PS Portal is great it reduces the need or want to use a phone to accomplish the same tasks and reduces the possibility of people exploiting your phone because you want to remotely play games from your ...

PS Vita was really incredible for the time.
It can not play PS4 games natively never mind playing PS5 games and I'm not talking about playing cut-rate ports like Switch is currently doing.

I guess everyone forgets that PS Vita's OLED panel was also lambasted for poor contrast due to raised black levels. When the Vita's screen displays a black image, you see a mostly green or sometimes orange and or red or even more rarely, a blue tinged image instead of...

PS3 games can not be played unless they are running locally on PS5. PS Now games won't run using PS Portal.

The original PS5s do not require internet to run disc based-games. This might be a different story to run BD-ROMs specifically MOVIES, but to run games on PS5 from a disc, no internet was required to use the disc drive and you didn't need to connect PS5 to the internet to complete set-up. I didn't pick up a PS5 launch day but I was still able to use it without an internet connection to play Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Moral...
