You can't download it hence why it is disappearing forever. Did this happen on PS3 where you could download the content? No. There is a reason for that.
Streaming is the next frontier of you will own nothing and be happy.

PS3 games can not be played unless they are running locally on PS5. PS Now games won't run using PS Portal.
The original PS5s do not require internet to run disc based-games. This might be a different story to run BD-ROMs specifically MOVIES, but to run games on PS5 from a disc, no internet was required to use the disc drive and you didn't need to connect PS5 to the internet to complete set-up.
