I have one, exactly one PS1 title I would play again, SOTN, and it is coming to marketplace. Does anyone know how bad most PS1 games look these days?
With the attach rate for the 360 as high as it is, I can't imagine most 360 owners care about last-gen games either.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am so excited about the Wii version of Madden. I have the 360 version, but since I haven't played much madden before (I miss you 2K series) it is just a little complicated for my tastes.

There is one HUGE, ENORMOUS difference between the consoles of old and the PS3.
People were willing to wait and settle for one or two great games when a console cost $200-$300.00.
Sony is charging $500-$600. They MUST show me something to justify that insane amount of money. THey bet on BluRay, and guess what, most people a)don't care and b) look for gaming on their video game consoles first and foremost.

Again, this isn't appearing in some blog, this is THE mainstream of mainstream news outlet, and here is what millions of readers are going to hear about the PS3:
"Howard Stringer, you have a problem. Your company’s new video game system just isn’t that great."
I think the following quote is what most of the logical non-sony fanboys think. Sure, it might be a cool system in a year or two, but right now there is NOTHING to justify the insane price.

I think a lot of people, especially in the game press, stepped back, breathe...
I understand that PS3 will of course ship more units, but I think _most_ of the sane people on this site realize there will still be some pretty big shortages well into Q1 of next year.
That said, how can a publisher possibly look at these numbers and _possibly_ consider a PS3 exclusive title, especially launching in 2007. Even today, if no more 360s sold (and they will), would you be willing to give up a market share of that sort of percentage? Sell to a mere 5% of the 360 p...
I'll throw in that on the Gamespot forums A LOT of us are having serious problems connecting to the Wii Network.
It cannot finish the "internet test" to Nintendo, and their support forum is down. I'm guessing their servers couldn't handle the load.
So, since Nintendo's support is TOTALLY down, I was wondering if any other Wii owners have been able to connect.
My wireless network has NO problems handling the xbox, the 360 an da multitude of computers, so I doubt it is my setup...it just gets stuck on the "test" section.
Anyone else have this issue?
I always though that the graphics, apart from the character models, were rather weak on Mass Effect. WHatever they did with lighting and effects in this new batch of shots, however, makes the game look amazing.

I wanted to mention that, despite the rather over-the-top "jerkishness" of my post above, it really isn't personal (although I know I came across that way). I actually like your usual contributions to the site and find you to be a great poster...the ignorant part just sort of pissed me off.
