I guess Ellie in the original The Last of Us started a trend. When it was ported to the PS4, her appearance was changed. I believe in that case it actually had to be since the character looked a bit too much like Ellen Page in the original version, and she wasn't particularly happy about that.
I don't think avoiding legal trouble is the story here though, especially since I'm pretty sure the PS4 Peter Parker doesn't look like a real life actor. Is Insom...
Fun fact: Peter Parker in the game's supposed to be 22 (if I remember correctly, or maybe 23). Tom Holland is actually 24.
True. Who knows what their endgame was? It got us to notice an app that most probably would have passed over even with it being free, I guess. Does Nintendo just like manipulating us for no reason other than because they can? If nothing else, they've sure proven that they can. Maybe Jump Rope Challenge was their test run for pulling the same thing with 3D All Stars and that other timed Mario game.
True. Having a system sell worse than the Vita is quite an achievement for a company like Nintendo. They've sure turned that around with the Switch. Mario Kart 8 on Switch has sold more than the entirety of Wii Us sold, and not just by a small margin.
The new Peter certainly looks more youthful, which is plausible for a young man of that particular age, but I liked his original look just fine. Were they trying to merge his original appearance with that of Tom Holland’s Peter?
Not particularly, but I don't exactly play a lot of those games anyways.
Dude, where were my Quarians in Andromeda? It still wouldn't have been as good as the original trilogy, but at least one of my favourite races wouldn't have been missing.
Hmmm...not quite the same type of game, but I do agree that Horizon is awesome.
No mention of the Pachinko machine? I finally got that star after a lot of tries, but that was like half my play session last night. The other half was Episode Six of Bianco Hills, The Secret of the Dirty Lake. Oh well, that's both of those done. Onto the next one.
Agreed. It is true that Gyro controls are a very different way of tracking motion, but Galaxy seems to work just fine on the Switch so I'm sure Skyward Sword is possible. Whether Nintendo care enough to want to port it over is another thing entirely, and I'm skeptical about that, but I think it can be done.
I’ve been using both my Switch and PS4. The new Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection just came out, but so did the latest Vanillaware game, 13 Sentinels Aigis Rim. I decided I’d just play both. It frees me up from having to choose.
Well, no danger of that. I was just playing Sunshine in docked mode last night.
True. I think most people who have fondness for retro games are very much into modern gaming and are also looking forward to future releases, which is a department where the PS5 is sure not to disappoint. I'm sure there is the occasional retro enthusiast who has little interest in what's current, if any, but I highly doubt most gamers are black and white, modern-only or retro-only types, as I'm sure most opt to be mostly modern gamers who occasionally like to revisit the past. ...
Good thing I still have one of those. I legit sometimes like going back and enjoying a game on old hardware, even if it makes me appreciate current hardware that much more. I tend to take old hardware quirks as part of the experience though, as I'm more or less just visiting the past rather than setting up a summer home there.
I mean, the PS3 is unbelievably slow compared to the PS4, and I'm sure going from PS5 to PS3 will take even more getting used to, but it&...
And in far less limited quantities to boot.
It's likely this was worked out before MS's most recent purchase, and it's Limited Run who's making these physical copies, not Bethesda. So...ask them. Heck if I know the answer to that.
Bethesda is a good studio/publisher. Of that, I agree. But, even with some solid IPs now under its umbrella, the onus is now on MS to take those studios and provide us with excellent games. I could go into details about why each franchise under that umbrella isn't the earth-shattering, singlehandedly gen-winning IP it's being touted as, but I suppose if those games are that big of a deal to you, get a XSX or XSS. I'm simply saying that PlayStation has plenty of other games to ...
Point taken, I suppose, even if 30% is a very hyperbolic figure. Thousands upon thousands of games come to every console, and while Bethesda titles are more substantial than most, they're still a few buckets full in a sea of games. But, yes, they are games that will no longer be coming to PlayStation. Good thing the sea of PlayStation isn't hurting for water.
It's not about quantity bruh, it's about quality and output. We will see in a couple years what MS is actually doing with their new studios. For their sake, hopefully it's much more substantial than what we've come to expect from MS.
How did I get disagrees for stating facts? N4G is weird. I’m not sure if I agree that not having a handheld alongside the WiiU would have saved it. If anything, the 3DS got Nintendo through that tough time, but you’re probably right that being able to give the Switch all their focus now is helpful, even if there’s way more to the picture than that.
@Neonridr I don’t see the harm in comparing two systems regardless of “market”. Care to explain why that’s wrong? The poin...
