When they focus on the console releases the PC version ends up being a mess. Someone always loses with these kinds of devs.
Well, hopefully more countries will follow suit with this. An outright ban on putting loot boxes in full-priced games would be ideal, but we've never lived in an ideal world so why start now?
Why not? You're never too old for gaming: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I'm sure there are still a lot of people who stereotype gamers to this day, but I'm equally sure many of those same people have spent much of the pandemic vegging out and watching Netflix, which is very much a solitary and sedentary activity that involves a lot of screen time.
All the more reason why I’m glad I gravitate towards niche titles such as 13 Sentinels for launch purchases, and typically wait on AAA titles to gauge community reception, save money and avoid doing free beta testing for a company who could afford to do that stuff before launching their game. I play almost everything, but I’m not a chump.
Moreover, I intend to get a PS5 when it’s more readily available, and so, will much prefer to wait and play that version of cross-gen ...
Pre-ordering or buying a game at or around launch these days is more or less just for the pleasure of being able to play it as soon as it releases, and all that entails. There are exceptions, but that's pretty much the long and short of why getting a typical AAA game right away is advantageous. If you're really excited for a game, go for it.
Of course, under normal circumstances, you can enjoy a game for a lot less later on. Moreover, there will be more guides av...
Weren’t CDPR the ones who started the hype train? Maybe it was unrealistic to expect them to give us the moon, but they shouldn’t have made it sound like they were.
Do you have any good trails near you? One thing that doesn't go bankrupt, or typically close, is nature. There may be some restrictions on parks and other government-owned areas, especially if another lockdown happens, but if you have some woods near you or something, it's unlikely anyone will be able to stop you from going for a walk or a run. Some people get into cycling, and I think that's really picked up in popularity in my area recently.
Of course, th...
While there are plenty of great games out there, I can't say I've been gaming that much more than before the pandemic. Gaming is still my primary hobby, but there comes a point when I want to do something else. I'm just not as cut-out for long binge-fests as I used to be.
I'm not quite ready to admit I'm getting old, but I've taken up a bit of reading too, walks with my gf, and I got into Tarot over the past several months. All are side-interest...
Lulz. Depending how much you want on the go gaming, it's possible it's better to set aside fanboyism and invest in a product by one of Xbox's competitors. Sadly, Nintendo no longer has direct competition in the dedicated handheld space, but the Switch is a solid product. Of course, it depends what you're looking for, but I'd definitely recommend it over some PoS mobile device.
That's how things work nowadays, sadly. Not only do new releases cost full price, but it's all for the pleasure of beta-testing the bloody games...and sure, getting to play them at launch. It's why I normally wait a while on new releases. Not only does that give time to gauge the community's thoughts, but a high percentage of games end up being better products down the road. As a bonus, they cost me less too.
It's actually not a great idea to analyze Pokemon as a RPG, because difficulty isn't the only aspect that doesn't hold up when examined under that lens. If it wasn't for the creature collecting and semi-open world aspect, it wouldn't be that engaging at all. There really isn't a lot of depth to it from a mechanical standpoint. But, it's a good thing games are more than a sum of their parts. While I have my reasons for not supporting the latest games, Pokemon is...
You want 4K 120 for a retro-inspired title? To each their own, but isn't that a bit excessive for the game in question? You're right that the Switch can't pull that off, but it really doesn't need to.
And the thumbnail is a GBC game. A pretty great GBC game, but still. Contrary to the impression that gives, the actual article sticks to GBA games, though I just thought I'd point that out.
I'm really not sure boycotting the games is going to encourage the localizers to add a dub. If anything, it might just tell them there's not enough interest in their games to justify the cost. Perhaps low sales are why they dropped them to begin with. I'm really not sure how to encourage the company to reconsider, but low enough sales may just tell them there's not enough interest in the series to continue it at all. I'd probably recommend finding a way to get a messag...
True. I think the years of it being a true competitor to Pokemon are long over though. The games aren't even mainstream enough anymore to get a dub. Not only that, they're different. I think they're better than Pokemon, but they don't fit my definition of a rival. I didn't specify, but I'm also hoping for a competitor that will make GF actually put effort into their games. I don't know if Temtem is the answer to that either, but it definitely has a better sho...
I'm just glad Pokemon has rivals. I'm not going to support that franchise any longer, so I'm hoping some of the alternatives do well enough to stick around long term.
Sports and violence huh? At least 32-player multiplayer is a part of a description that tells us something. Were there just not enough things to say about the game? They really needed three terms to fill out that description, huh?
First off, anyone who knows anything about sports knows that there are many different kinds of sports. Unless you're selling a collection of different sports-themed games, saying "sports" heavily implies someone who knows very li...
Wait, the XS managed to sell more than 10% of what the PS5 sold? Phil should be happy with that because I'm sure that's as good as it's going to get for Xbox in that country. It's probably only downhill from here once new-release hype dissipates.
Agreed. The Switch is certainly perfect for this kind of game, but the original HK was on everything, so this one should be too. Besides, I played the original on PS4 and would love to continue the series on the same console, or maybe on my PS5 when I finally get that.
