I’m with you there. I think my issue is less with the system itself, and more how it’s managed. A Switch with the Wii U’s VC or better would have been epic from a legacy standpoint. Nintendo Selects could still be around, making older first party games more affordable. Joycons could have been improved so they don’t drift so much.

The above are things that could have made an interesting system even better, even if nothing about the hardware itself was any different. I...

MS has plans, man. Plans! Just you wait till next year...when they will show us even more of their plans!

There’s one thing I have to hand to the guy though. No one’s paying me for my armchair opinions. It seems that at least 99% of the time he’s either playing Captain Obvious, or way out to lunch. This is definitely one of those out to lunch times.

Yet, the guy somehow still has a career. I honestly don’t get it, but I suppose this world is full of things I don’t get. He doesn’t even need to be right. Seriously, what the heck?

Also, who thinks this...

Sony are obviously moving towards hosting their own events where they will announce things. That way they can do so entirely on their own terms and own schedule. We will still be hearing about upcoming PS5 games. It will just be at PlayStation Experience instead.

I'd legit love a P2 remake collection where we actually get both parts of the same release. Even P1 could do well with a remake. Heck, give us P3P with proper graphics and I'd be all over that. Or, just announce P6.

But, indie just means it was made by an independent studio. That’s literally all there is to it, so I see no need to over-complicate things.

The only things I dislike are when AAA devs make “indie” games, and when “indie” is used as a genre label. In the former case I say nah bruh, that company just made a budget game, but that doesn’t make it indie as the studio behind it isn’t independent. In the latter case, that would be like listing “AAA” as a genre. It tells me ...

Yeah, they didn't have to expend too much in the way of time, effort or resources to make this happen, and I'm sure it will still fly off the shelves. Nintendo has learned the art of strategic laziness. They haven't even bothered to improve the Joycons, because they can do nothing and actually be rewarded with more Joycon sales. Ok, they haven't just learned how to be lazy and make more money that way. They're practically a Zen master at this point.

Implying it’s much of a “move” at all, driven by a desire to screw over the consumer. Nah bruh, they just don’t care. The Switch prints so much money that Nintendo really doesn’t need to put in any more effort than they need to, including when they release a new model. In a sense, that might be worse though...they literally have no reason to listen to criticism anymore, no matter how legit.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that.

No, it really isn't. It's the model I would go for if I somehow didn't have a Switch at this point and wanted one. However, this isn't the fabled "Switch Pro" that has been hyped up for two years. There is a slight increase to the screen size and sound quality, which is good for handheld mode, but you know what has an even bigger screen, and even better resolution and sound? My TV, and that's how I play most games where resolution would make much of a differe...

Well, this is certainly not the Switch Pro we were hoping for. They will sell boatloads of these models anyways, I'm sure. Of course they want owners of OLED Switches to buy replacement Joycons just like everyone else. Yay...

That they even need to clarify that says a lot. Not only do I not trust them to refrain from doing so indefinitely, but just the very fact that the concept of EA adding ads into their games exists...you know what, EA is trash either way. I'm not buying their games regardless. That dumpster has been burning for a while. It's just a matter of how big the flames are.

That said, this would make the flames big enough that they would pose a threat to surrounding s...

I've seen much worse on engrish.com. At least Nintendo's PR people haven't said stuff that would get a native English speaker arrested. That said, my mind went to the same place and I'm glad I'm not the one who had to be "that guy" to point it out, so thanks.

Expected, but great news nonetheless.

Lately? This has been going on for years and years brother. We’re supposed to buy into the notion that Xbox is this god-tier brand that continuously redefines and leads the gaming industry. That said, there has been an unusually high volume of such articles lately.

You can argue which Sony first party studio is the best all you want. Sony will take that to the bank either way. I personally think ND and Insomniac are both great. There’s plenty of room for both in the PS5’s lineup.

After giving it some thought, I've come to the conclusion that odd numbered gens (NES/SMS is the 3rd, and we are now in the 9th) tend to introduce new innovations that shake things up, while even numbered gens tend to refine and build on what was introduced previously with better hardware. Sure, even numbered gens don't necessarily innovate to the same level, but I find they're fairly comfortable gens. The systems that come out then tend to feel familiar, but take what worked in...

I'd say by which games left the biggest impact on us. Of course, that's going to be subjective as art is never experienced in a vacuum, but what isn't when it comes to entertainment media? Nostalgia surely plays a huge role, and that largely depends on how old someone is, as that determines which gens were current when they were growing up. Of course, nostalgia is only possible because games of a certain era managed to leave an impression on people. Every gen feels different t...

Um...what? So I'm just imagining all the hype surrounding the new Ratchet and Clank game, among others? In fact, plenty of single-player games with character-driven stories have come out recently, and are coming soon. Not only that, but many such games are popular as heck too. I'm far too lazy to list all of them, but it seems others have. Regardless, are you for real bruh? This narrative has been pushed for years, but it's no more true now than it was any of the other times...
