I disagree. Flexibility is good if you're the type of person who is going to take full advantage of it, but it comes at a significant cost, which in this case is accepting being two gens behind in hardware. I personally prefer to stick with something much more powerful if I'm going to be in front of my TV screen anyways.

I will say, I do really like my Switch for its exclusives and I think it's great for pixel-art type games and other styles of game that don...

I’m guessing they don’t realize GTA is a satire. It depicts far-right culture and plays it straight, but that doesn’t necessarily reflect the views of the devs. Also, this brand of satire works best when it’s unfiltered. Censoring it defeats the purpose.

Agreed, and I for one like to be able to play games on my own terms, in my own time. Services for me create a sense of obligation, as I feel I need to spend time with that thing in order to justify the money I spent on it. I don’t actually subscribe to Disney + indefinitely for example, and will buy a month at a time as I see fit, but during that time I make extra sure to watch as many films as I can.

In any case, with games I really prefer to just buy them and let them...

It’s part of the future; I’ll accept that, but it’s not the whole future of game distribution, or at the very least, I’ll resist such a scenario. I’ll continue to support physical games as long as that’s a thing, and if the day should come that even paying for digital copies that I have indefinite access to isn’t an option, I’ll make my exit and either become a retro gamer or take up another hobby.

Well, Gamepass articles have been a thing for a long time, so they’re well past the “topic of the day” threshold at this point. Sure, I can see why a certain subset of gamers would really love a service like that, but it’s not everything to everyone, and I for one wish these sites had more in the way of fresh material.

Im glad I have the excellent Legacy Collection on PS3.

That would be great. You can get the original trilogy on most systems now, and you can now get The Great Ace Attorney games, but the rest haven't come to current systems. I would love to have all of these games on my Switch too.

I’m surprised he still is TBH.

I have to hand it to the guy. He has made a lucrative career out of stating his armchair opinions, and he doesn’t even need to be right. How does he do it? No one’s paying me to randomly state my thoughts.

As a roughly 1/4 Ukrainian, I feel awful for the people of Russia too. They aren’t all necessarily in support of the war, but know full well what happens to Russians who stand in defiance of their dictator. Moves to cut Russia off from the rest of the world are necessary to try and halt the war effort, but my heart breaks for the individual people caught in the crosshairs by virtue of living in that country.

Hmmm...I wonder how “groundbreaking” this site thinks the new Halo is, or the latest *insert Mario spinoff here*? I’m fine with it criticizing this game for not being “groundbreaking enough”, so long as there’s no double/triple/otherwise hypocritical standard that specifically targets PS exclusives. It would still be a trash take, but it would sound a lot less biased.

I'm not going to say open worlds are overrated, because I do think that a well-designed open world is fantastic and can make for a wonderful experience, but I do think open worlds for the sake of open worlds has long since become beyond overrated. Everyone and their dog makes open world games now, and not all of them are great IMHO. I understand why they became popular, because if done right they can make the world of a game feel more alive, and they do generally at least give the playe...

@VenomUK Insecure much? You don’t have to be into LEGO, you do you. But I’ve thought long and hard about what it means to be a man (and an adult in general) from an identity standpoint, and have come to the conclusion that it’s not about what you’re into, but being secure in the knowledge that you are, in fact, a man no matter what you’re into (so long as it’s not illegal or causing harm to others).

In other words, if you feel that enjoying something would make you less...

Neat. Robot beasts would lend themselves well to a lego set, so this is a great idea.

Wow, this game is reviewing horribly.

I'm all for it. I hope they don't just throw in a female protagonist to check off a box though, as that rarely ever translates into good writing. I hope whatever protagonist Rockstar comes up with is well-written, regardless of whether they're male or female.
