Clearly, the solution is to make the PS5 the lead platform for multiplats, and to port games to the XS from there. That way, devs can make the games they want to make, and if there are issues with the S, they will be contained to the Xbox ecosystem.
Wow, that gap is pretty significant, considering that puts the PS5 a full 1/3 ahead of the XS. Of course, given that I think the XB1 sold less than 1/2 that of the PS4, that's still a huge improvement for the XS.
As well they should be. There’s no reason why PC can’t run games at least as well as consoles. Still, this is why I’m a console guy for AAA titles, and I’ll reserve my PC for the admittedly many exclusives.
MS caring about devs? Since when? RoFL. Nah, they're constantly on about wanting to "revolutionize" the industry to fit them, and cry when they end up in last. The S was always about trying to maximize sales. If devs or the health of the industry factored into it at all, I'm a long-lost heir to the British throne. Also keep in mind how well MS takes care of its own devs, and that should be a clear indicator of how much of a thought they spare for third party devs.
I expect this will be an issue for the XS going forward, as the S just isn't a very powerful console, and apparently MS doesn't want games that run on the X and not the S. With many devs supporting last gen up until now, it probably wasn't as big a deal, but now that some seem to finally be moving away from the old consoles to focus on the current ones, I can imagine the S will be a bit of an issue going forward, depending on the game of course.

What? Just because Sony doesn’t run their mouth 24/7 like a certain competitor doesn’t mean they’re silent. It just means they wait until they have something of importance to say. TBH I wish said competitor would do the same.
It’s the first videogame I ever played. It’s probably a huge part of the reason why I’m a gamer. I was four and walked into the first Goomba and died, but it clearly left its mark on me. I’ve played through it a number of times and think it’s still fantastic to this day.
That MS pays for there to be articles upon articles hyping it up as the second coming of Christ, while Sony has better uses for its cash than hyping up PS+ more than is expected?
One still requires a source of income to pay for consoles and games.
Not if you are like me and stick to legal emulation.
I miss this game. Cakey on PS5 please! I heard some feminists thought it was sexist, but that doesn’t make much sense to me since you could choose a female character. So what if one was a spoiled princess who liked cake? I’m a dude and I like cake.
I used to love shopping at EB Games/GameStop, but I just don’t anymore. Maybe it’s the fact that I now shop mostly online, even for physical games. I think the main thing for me though is it just feels less and less like a specialized store as time goes on. I literally had to scan the back wall last time I went into one to even find the PlayStation section.
They talk too much, and are constantly trying to spin things. I'm kind of surprised it took this long for them to end up contradicting themselves TBH.
It’s a Xbox console exclusive, so of course it’s hyped up...
The Xbox-centric game media hates PS exclusives, and will try and find any and all ways to make them out to be worse than they actually are. As they probably won’t be able to attack something Spider-Man 2 and sound credible, they often go after the B-list exclusives that try different things and may not always be made with the mainstream AAA crowd in mind.
Case in point though, it rarely works. Besides, if something like Forspoken was a Xbox exclusive, you can bet it wo...
Most important? I don’t think I agree with that, though he does have a lot of history behind him, so I suppose I can respect him for being OG, and possibly laying the foundation for other heroes to come. Beyond that though, this may be a hot take, but I’ve never been a big fan.
There’s more to what makes a good superhero than just being OP IMHO, and I just don’t like the way Superman is written. He’s too bland for me. Spider-Man and Batman on the other hand, are great...
Ummm…what?
That’s ND’s MO, and I respect that. After the 6th gen, many were put out that Jak and Daxter was retired, but if ND kept focusing on that we likely wouldn’t have gotten Uncharted. I respect a company who knows when to end a series so they can focus on something new, and here’s hoping whatever they create next will be just as amazing.
This may be a hot take, but if I’m to feel bad for a game not doing as well as it should, I usually lean towards games that aren’t part of big franchises with big companies behind them, especially since what constitutes a “failure” by AAA standards can be a lot different than with games by smaller studios.
The PSP may have sold only half that of the DS (I think), but it did just fine in its own right: https://www.statista.com/st...
For a competitor to a Nintendo handheld, I think that’s pretty good. However, Sony just didn’t have the same commitment to the Vita, and it suffered as a result. Well, that and they went with a proprietary memory card format that really shot the Vit...
