Seriously man. You need to come to the realization of what the actual power differences between the x1 and ps4 are. I know people working on this game, personally and they are making both versions as good as they possibly can running on that engine. They are not holding the ps4 back.
The power differences are that its a bit easier to hit 1080p on the ps4 than it is on the x1 in some circumstances. The ps4's memory speed allows it to have a hair sharper texture filter...
I feel like PSN in general is a sneeze away from crashing. They need some solid scalable infrastructure put in place. Sure XBL has problems too but they tend to be less frequent and usually get fixed faster. If PSN is going to charge, it should be at least on comparable performance and its just simply not yet.
wow dude. You shouldn't be that emotionally invested in any company no matter how good they are. At the end of the day they are just there to make money. They aren't your friends. They are just simply filling supply where there is demand. Sure its cool stuff, but its just stuff.
"if it wasn't for Playstation we wouldn't have games, period"?? WTF? There were plenty of games being made decades before Playstation...
halo multi has still got it.
i feel exactly the same.
Personally I'm dead sick of COD, but I admittedly have been enjoying the AW campaign to my surprise. I only bought it because it seemed to at least make an attempt at some new stuff. I'd say its the best COD in years. I probably won't play the multiplayer too much, which seems completely backwards for a COD game, but I guess thats kind of my point. The campaign doesn't feel like an afterthought.
get your sh*t together Ubi. How about that for a fix. Maybe the goal for Assassins Creed should be shipping one when its ready rather than one a year.
Ok. So every 2 weeks we'll look to you too see what your numbers are and see how close you are are
I had come to hate come to hate cod and im loving aw. Keep waiting to see what's so bad about it. Some occasional lag but it's been a nonissue in my experience. The campaign is really fun.
Personally Im a little sick of remasters at this point and feel people are going overboard but I'd certainly welcome the idea of a New Gears of War title.
Nope. Look at those images 1:1. The pc versions have superior ao and aliasing. The ps4 version looks like it has a thin layer of Vaseline over the lens. Plus the pc version will probably be able to run faster than 30fps and higher than 1080p. I'd also bet that the pc version has higher resolution models.
So when I said the ps4 and Xbox one were low end pcs and everyone disagreed with me....
In down with the consoles, and don't have a gaming pc, but I'm also realistic.
umm. its at 90 on metacritic.
Who the hell wrote this? First off about the frame rate.... It can't even run smoothly at 30 fps let alone 60 fps and its already at 900p.
Then this:
"Even worse, although the game should be locked at 30fps, some of the more complex scenes – such as those with huge battle sequences featuring massive explosions and particle effects, or giant mobs in the streets setting fire to buildings and marching for the heads of the royalty, can make the game chug and dro...
for sure. I was especially irked by Watchdogs. It was one of the biggest reasons I wanted next gen consoles. For me personally, it did not deliver. The Crew beta was even more disappointing than I was expecting it to be. ACU seems par for the course at this point (at least technically).
many people are reporting though that its not the large crowds that are the problem. It happens while running on walls etc. Some of the first reports were in fact on PS4. The Xbox and PC versions are also having issues.
Edit: From Polygon:
"A video captured from the PS4 version of Assasin's Creed Unity by ZeroX03 Gaming, which you can see above, exhibits severe stuttering during an act as simple as clambering along a wall inside a church — not anything nea...
getting the engine to run at whatever resolution is not hard to do. whether it will run smoothly or not is an entirely different question though. Simply making the PS4 version run at 900p if it was engineered to run at 1080p is a nonissue. If anything it would just make the frame rates that more solid. The only time you have to put a lot of work into something is if you have to go and upscale or downscale all the textures, geometry etc. then they all need to be republished, replaced and ...
So maybe it really couldn't hang at 1080p on both consoles after all. Hopefully this can be patched. I have no intention of buying it personally but it sucks for people enthusiastic for the title and dropping cash on it
explain to me why the character models took such a hit AND it runs at 900p. and don't give me the Ubisoft gimped the PS4 version especially considering even second son started facing cpu problems with ai. I'll throw in the fact that Watchdogs also ran at 900p on PS4 while the XB1 version ran at 792p. Were they only just kinda gimping that ps4 version? What about the other sub 1080p games? Why isn't infamous locked at 60 fps? Why isn't Driveclub locked at 60 fps? The PS4...
Kinda like when fanboys said the ps4 sold 13m when it really sold in 13... Completely different I guess....
