I think the ps4 number is sold in, but still an impressive number. I could be wrong but I remember reading that somewhere.
Edit: just looked it up. It is sold through so I was wrong. Freaking crazy!
As an owner of both consoles, the Xbox has more features than the ps4. This particular feature was already on X1 but got removed in an update. This is putting it back.
In fact I wish my ps4 could do some of the stuff my X1 can do Xbox wins on the software.
Amen. I reeeeally hope it supports psvr
As excited as I am for a new GT I'm going to be really disappointed if "sport" ends up being a different word for "prologue". Just please release a big, full game with lots of cars and tracks... Not a few cars and a couple tracks and then wait an eternity for the rest of the game.
looks really cool. thats some scifi piece of kit right there.
@dark:
go back and read through all of the comments when EA access was announced. Look at the comments in just about every xbox article as well. i guarantee that you will see twisting contortions of view, justifications, sh*t talking and trolling flags within the first 10 comments on all of them. this is totally a sony first website and the fanboys are always talking sh*t about anything positive on the xbox front - especially if its something the ps4 doesn't have.
I love how you get a disagree for simply stating what happened. I don't understand people on here sometimes.
man. this article sums up everything i've been trying to say on here. i agree with everything the author is saying. i suspect the psvr hmd will be cheaper than the oculus but it will still be what a lot of people will consider "too expensive".
this is definitely going to be for people who specifically want vr. not people who think it shouldn't be more than $200 because thats all they can/are willing to spend. unfortunately to be good its gotta cost a ...
get to the optometrist
Steve jobs left his reality distortion device to the fanboys when he passed. It seems they figured out how to turn it on.
So people on here see to think that Sony will make the psvr cheap and take a hit on costs. Sure. They probably will. But if the hmd costs $600 to make, they aren't going to sell it for $300. Sorry. It will probably be $400 on the low side and $600 on the high side. let's compare the price of the oculus, the presumed similar price of the vive and sonys own surprisingly high pricing for ps2 emulation, PlayStation now etc and let's realistically think how much it will cost. It's ...
Ummm. It's been on pc for years and both xboxes for a while. There are still more pc gamers than ps4 gamers. My little nephew who is now 7 was playing it quite a while ago and he isn't exactly a worldly kid with obscure tastes. All the kids were playing it in his classes. I knew about the game as well before they announced it for ps4. #realitydistortion
More expensive means it's using better components that cost more which makes the price higher. The important factor is the margin. Oclulus for example has a razor thin margin which means it costs almost as much to make as what they are selling it for. That means it has some decent quality materials and components. If psvr cheaps out for price it just simply won't be as good capability wise because they will use cheaper components. They are cheaper because the market naturally lets pri...
Bummer. I really wanted it to be more high end... Even if it costs a little more.
I'll definitely give them that.
not a huge fan of SC. Sure they're cheap, but they also sound cheap.
@phynkydiabetic1
sure cost is always an issue but even still - a lower end bandwidth sd card is still faster than the fastest optical drive by a pretty decent amount. you can pick up a slower speed 64gb sd card on amazon for $13. Now thats a retail consumer facing price - nintendo could very easily strike a contract with sandisk (similar to what they've already done with the 3ds) that drive their cost down substantially, while still getting way more performance (and dur...
optical drives are old tech at this point. the only reason we switched to them was because we didn't have the storage capability on anything solid state. those days are gone. Solid state is the future.
solid state media is the future and optical discs are the past. you could store an entire game on a solid state medium like an sd card or similar or even like little ssd's and the performance would smoke an optical drive. Look at the bandwidth on some SD cards lately. they scream. OD's are pretty much the slowest medium ever next to tape.
It's pretty good. Really good. Best sim I've played iRacing is also really good.
