I love the Wii, and appreciate what Nintendo is trying to do in building up the number of gamers through the casual, but that term was funny and somewhat spot on.
Rather than buying Wii fit in order to play the game, and perhaps become a little more active, these people are buying the game in hopes that it will mentally reinforce whatever body image that they already have of themselves? How unhealthy...

The Wheel control scheme is great imo. Just like when we first started using analog sticks we had to adjust, so it is with this control scheme. IMO anyone who believes that the motion control is unresponsive just hasn't taken the time to master the controls. Hold left too long on the analog stick you go off course. Hit it too early, you go off course. Don't compensate for the speed of various speed classes, you go off course. It's the same thing.

You know, between this, and those Mario and Bowser "Realistic" renderings, it's made me realize that we've likely seen about the best graphics for a Mario game that we'll ever see. Games like that just don't look right if they aren't cartoony, and the Wii does cartoony pretty damned good.
They're buying HD-TV's to watch tv on. There are alot of HD channels these days, and more pop up all the time. However, even the average Joe has a decent sized collection of DVD's. The vast majority is in absolutely no hurry to replace them. In the meantime though, HD Channels, pay per view and even gaming are plenty enough regarding the "HD experience" at this point. Listen, I'm not saying that this game should be on the Wii, because there's no way enough effort would be put into it for Wii owners to not feel shafted. However, if this game was made also for the Wii the city could actually be bigger and the game could have more content. Remember, the 360 and PS3 games are the same size, and the entire game fits onto a 360 disk, which is the same size as the Wii's. Brawl has sold over 3 million copies this past month in the U.S. alone. There's quite a hardcore following with Nintendo. They just don't trust games not made by Nintendo enough to spend their money on them (for the most part).

The Xbox brand of gaming is definitely not my cup of tea, though they do have some good games. What an idiot. When are people going to realize that stuff like Wii Fit (don't know if I'm ready exactly to call it a game yet) is bringing new people into the gaming world.
