I think you should check out BeNice's post on this very page. He hit the nail right on the head regarding the Wii's Processor. Nintendo this time around (while being cheap/cost efficient/whatever) was all about efficiency, and most bang for the buck. I'm convinced that their aim was to completely max out the potential of 480p since as of now most T.V.'s aren't HD yet. Don't let the stated 729mhz fool you. There is much more substance there in the configuration than what appears at first glanc...

Yeah, I agree that the Wii will be fine, and likely have tons of excellent games before it's all said and done. However, it is clear that certain types of games won't play well online on the Wii due to its limitations, which to me means that we have to wait longer for things that we'd like to have. Such as a Pokemon MMORPG for example. Not to mention that they refuse to come up with a solid, convenient storage solution. But who knows... Maybe they can pull off a decent one on the Wii...
I think it means that since support is coming late, Nintendo's next console release will also be pushed back. I love the Wii, and graphics aren't everything to me, but I don't want to still be playing new games in 480p in 2011/2012 you know?

And in other news, GTA4 is the top seller this week in the Netherlands with a grand total of 100 copies sold. Mario Kart Wii in close second with 99. Bleh... Obviously someone cares though. So be it. :)
Either Chrono Trigger, Tales of Symphonia, or Pokemon. I don't know the exact amount of time played in one sitting but it's alot, and it's a toss-up.

...there is also a Wii version. I don't think that we can name a released game so far that has been for all three systems that was actually a good game you know? However, as stated, there is a separate team for the Wii version so maybe that will relax some people.

The question is though, how many times will they have to deny it before people believe it? A standalone player would be a waste of time for them, and incorporating it into the system itself would be pretty much putting a new system out. Think about the restrictions they have on games due to the arcade sku having no hard drive. Does anyone really think they are going to add BluRay into the machine after the first 20 million have sold without it? Makes no sense. I feel sorry for anyone who ever...
We've been playing CoD 4 for about a year now (Many of us quite alot), and we are still so sick of WWII that we'd rather CoD5 be in the middle east again. Just goes to show how overdone WWII is. lol

If they can make the games look decent, and hit the gameplay nail right on the head I'd be very happy. Not that Spore is a rts, but I think that we'll learn alot about how well the Wii will do with PC style games from it. The system requirements for that game look a little bit beyond the Wii's capability, so obviously they'll have to make a slightly different version for the Wii. How close they get to the original version, (or how far they choose to move away ...
