What? Now a game has to sell 500k in it's first week or be pegged a flop? That's ridiculous. The game has been getting mixed reviews and still managed to sell over 100k in its first week. I don't own it, and don't plan to, but even so I can respect what they are trying to do with that franchise, and I can respect 120k sales in its first week. Not every game is going to sell like GTA4, Halo 3, Brawl, Mario Kart, etc. right off the bat.
It's disappointing to me that civil liberties are not a bigger issue this election than they've been. As soon as it became clear that Ron Paul would not win, it just kind of fell off the political scene. Truthfully, I'm not sure I trust either of these guys.

Lately it seems like MS is trying a little too hard to stir the pot with their comments. I mean seriously, who is paying attention to these comments besides game enthusiasts like us? So what are they trying to do? Is this some strange attempt to raise morale amongst the MS faithful? To try and keep 360 owners from considering a PS3 on the side? Because to me, from the outside looking in, that's what it looks like, and it seems a bit pathetic.
...I can't help but notice how far beyond The Xbox1 and PS2 the Wii is. No doubt the HD systems are well beyond the Wii, but it's nice to see this "obscure" example of how capable it is since there are still knuckleheads who want to believe that the Xbox was more powerful or that the Wii's advantage over it is negligible.
Though I'm a big fan of the Wii, due to its relative limitations I wouldn't want to see FFXIII on it. We have an opportunity for the game to be huge on a scale so far unheard of when you take into account the way the graphics will play out.
So, in the meantime, we Nintendo folk get some nice remakes (Chrono Trigger?!?) and a few nice little side games to keep us busy, while SE makes the cash it takes to pump out a game like FFXIII, keep up the upper levels of love and hype for th...

Even so, in the end, if there were to only be an attach rate of 4 games per console, if the console is in 75 million homes, then developers will still sell alot of software. Has the Ps3 ever even outsold the Wii for a single week, let alone a month? How is it gaining? The better approach is the: "Ps3 isn't in direct competition with the Wii" argument. Statements like the above one are just aren't true.
I doubt that most reviewers would ever put in that much work.

The undertone of my post was that it may just be that this game isn't as good as we'd like to believe. Of course, I'm hoping for the best. Wii gamers are pretty starved for quality non-casual stuff like this from third party Developers.
It makes me wonder though. If they can actually make the game look this good in a solid playable version with online capabilities, why hasn't Nintendo snapped this up themselves to publish it as a second party? Do they really not want this, or this type of audience? Any true gamer who's an FPS fan will want to play this if it pans out the way it seems like it will.
