How many more copies would the game need to sell in order to reach profit level on the Xbox 360? Probably more than a quarter million more. By the time this game hits a few months in Europe, and the U.S. has a little more time, (it's only been out for 3 weeks in the U.S. and it sold 40k or so last week for crying out loud) Suda and the gang will likely have turned quite a nice profit. This game couldn't have cost more than 4 or 5 million to create. Probably not even close to that much. Not to...
Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 are way up there, but I don't think either even approach the amount of time I've spent playing Pokemon and Super Smash Bros Melee. Of those two I couldn't say which I've played more, only that combined we're definitely talking months or even a year of my life. Time well spent though.
Looks like this may end up being the week that the Wii surpasses the GameCube in lifetime sales.
I'm glad I have the U.S. version. Gore and violence doesn't make the game, but the bloodless version is an insult imo.
Unlike you, I couldn't care any less about HD-DVD or Blu Ray than I do. You might want to hone your reading comprehension skills. I said that I have no intention of replacing my DVD collection, or jumping on-board the HD bandwagon. The whole HD-craze is an unnecessary luxury. Not everyone here sees everything in terms of Sony vs. Microsoft my friend.
While it is true that upscaling doesn't dramatically increase DVD picture quality, that'll be the day when I replace my massive DVD collection with Blu Ray or HD-DVD. There's just no real need for it, and it's too expensive. And since I have a good DVD collection, (That I have only been amassing for the past few years anyway) I'm going to keep buying DVD. There's nothing wrong with it. HD is an un-needed luxury, and an excess at its current price levels as far as I'm concerned.
I sure hope that you guys make the A's stadium thing work. :)
Saying that likely means that you know nothing about the game. Sure MGS4 is going to be a contender, and might win, but Brawl is the game to beat this year. Period.
Apples and Oranges.
There isn't a game on the HD systems that is better than the better Wii games to such an extent, if at all. It's a matter of taste. The upper crust of PS3 and Xbox 360 games clearly beats Wii games in Graphics, and the upper crust of Wii games clearly beat the HD systems on innovation and controls. Surprise! Most buyers of these systems knew this when they bought their console. They made a choice based on taste. The bottom line is that when it comes to each respectiv...
It would have been nice to have had everything unlocked by now and thoroughly enjoying online play daily. Oh well though... Soon enough we'll have it.
I own Z&W and No More Heroes, but Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games is alot of fun with a group of friends. I admit though that having a background in Track and Field might influence me a bit. :D
In any case, I'm glad it's selling well. Zack and Wiki is around 200k now because of Europe. They should have more than made up for Development cost by now. I also think that NMH will do well in the U.S. Well in an almost 500k sense anyway...
The characters are rather cartoony for how serious the puzzles are, and they aren't very endearing either. (I did feel sad for Wiki on the ice mirror stage though).
I agree that it's likely to be game of the year, but I also think it's an intriguing rumor.
That would be sweet. Either a new game, or a DS remake. Preferably a new Wii game though.
...is if perhaps the code is still in the game a'la Manhunt 2, and some tech savvy people might be able to find a way to play as Geno anyway.
For many the prime concern in life isn't making so much money that you or your family never have to work again. For many, working hard and living a comfortable and fulfilled life because of it is enough. I respect that. Even though I personally want the former, I respect that.
...and your life is over!"
That's how they want the law to affect people. This is ridiculous. Why don't they just start doing like some arab market places and cutting off peoples hands for crying out loud...
I have never seen a Zack and Wiki commercial either. I've heard that there was one on Cartoon network at some point, but in spite of how it looks, Zack and Wiki isn't a game for younger kids.
Okie dokie Smokie...
"Man... Now I have to crush this little box before I throw it away... Thanks Nintendo, my whole day is ruined!"
The real problem is probably something more like:
"It's not the cool, hardcore thing to do playing Wii games... But there's no way I can hide this game in my pocket, and everyone is going to see me with it! Arrgh! But it's going to be so much fun! Oh no! What ever shall I do?!?"
Just blame it on your little brother or your G...
