And the majority of Smash fans aren't? Please.
...insist that shovelware quality games sell for significantly lower price than games that cost respectable amounts of time, effort and money to create. I love Nintendo, I love my Wii, and I respect the fact that casual/party games are here to stay. But imo, there's no way around the fact that excessive shovelware is a bad thing for any system. I can only imagine how many new customers who intended to buy plenty of games have been turned away after getting ripped off by crap.
I can see how you might not understand. And I personally am not offended by the idea of this game, even though when I do actually end up seeing it, I might cringe at a stereotypical feature or two. However, my Grandma and Grandpa who are only in their 70's, My own Father's parents, were sharecroppers. Not the "Oh that's the best job they can get." sharecroppers, the "Boy, you can't leave here until you done paid off your mythical debt!" sharecroppers. They couldn't vote fo...
No. The games wouldn't sell because for the most part white and Japanese people don't want to buy games that don't have white and Japanese people as the main characters, supporting characters, filler characters, etc. It's understandable that people want to play as a hero that looks like them. But nearly always? At everyone else's expense?
People ARE just people. But if race really weren't an issue, then games would be full of people of all races and color. Equal amounts of games...
First off, RE5 is based in Haiti unless I'm mistaken. You all may or may not know this, but Haiti has one of the oldest legends regarding Zombies. Many in Haiti still believe in them in fact.
I completely understand and hear the point about this being less inflammatory if now, or at some point one of the MANY heroes of the RE series had been black. But since the history of Haiti is what it is, and the game is not in Africa, (Which would have been pretty forced) I'd have to say t...
We live in a time where people often feel a sense of entitlement. This kid was praised by the President, but probably felt like he deserved something tangible for what he'd done. Thus he stole something and tried to make some money off of it. It's a knucklehead move, but he is 14... Who knows? But that's my take on it anyway.
It was exaggerated quite a bit, and definitely had a tone of mockery, but there was enough truth to it that you can't help but laugh a little.
Nuff said.
Seriously. People just don't seem to see how big Animal crossing and Tales of Symphonia 2 are going to be. Animal Crossing online on the Wii? Huge. Tales of Symphonia 2 has recently revealed to be not only have most of the characters from the first as playable, but a monster feature that can only be described as Pokemon-esque. Who cares who doesn't like that sort of thing? Millions upon millions do, which is why it will sell games, and sell consoles.
Brawl was released basically...
Wii is getting trampled in software? What are you smoking? You are either misinformed, blind, or high as a kite. Judging from your year old false argument of: "All Wii owners play is Wii sports" it's the former two options.
While it is no doubt true that Nintendo would like the software attach rate that the Xbox 360 has, they wouldn't even consider trading positions. Developers don't have a direct stake in each console sold. They just need/want to sell x-amount of copie...
That is so mean...
I feel really bad for that kid.
That's the kind of thing my parents used to pull.
F that.
Who do these people think they are?
"With the Devil May Cry series going multiplatform starting with DMC 4, everyone thought a Wii version would be released, too."
That's ridiculous. Not only didn't I expect it to be on the Wii, I don't care. I'm glad the series exists for those who like it, but it's no skin off my back at all. I was done with this series after the first one.
What kind of textures do you expect/want? Fact is that the graphics on this game look very noticeably better than the original ToS. With that being said, as long as the gameplay is top notch, then everything will be more than fine. The game looking as good as it does is all frosting on the cake.
Sounds like it's only for those who've exchanged friend codes, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
Obama is a Senator, not a Congressman... And though he hasn't been around as long as the others, that is hardly an argument against him. To him, and most of his supporters, the fact that he hasn't been around long enough to be completely corrupted by the D.C. game is a huge plus. Also, he has stated repeatedly what he means by change:
Finding a better solution for fighting terrorism than the unconstitutional Patriot act.
Changing U.S. Foreign policy away from pre-emp...
I'll definitely be getting a PS3 around the time that God of War 3 is released.
Brawl sold 1.5 million in 2 weeks in Japan alone. Everyone and their mothers fathers and grandmothers have the game on pre-order in the U.S., and somehow this isn't going to be one of the biggest games of the year? In many ways it is THE biggest game of the year, since it will not only likely sell the most, but it will reach the most diverse audience.
The story also tries to act as if Super Mario Galaxy wasn't one of the biggest games last year? It came out a month and a half aft...
1. NMH costs $50 not $40
2. Nintendo will get about $5 - $10 per copy sold, retailers between $5 and $10 depending on their respective deals. The rest goes to the developers. I don't know where you got that %10 stuff from.
Even shooting very low and assuming that the developers only get $30 per copy of the game sold they would still make $15 million if NMH sells 500k.
Let's assume that for some insane, absurdly expensive reason that this game cost $5 mil...
Gerudo Valley at #6? IMO it's probably the best piece from a Zelda game ever. Oh well...
