I think this is a pretty realistic list. The biggest variables being the new IP and Metroid/retro studios game.

Serious question, are the any games that are expansive on an open world scale on ipad? It's been a while since I even really played an ios game and I was curious how far they've come. What are the new games you are referring to that look better than Zelda?

I don't get this obsession with maturity in games. Horizon is one of the best games I've played this year and never once was the reason because it was "mature". Games like Horizon and Zelda stand well enough on their own with relying on themes just so all these teens calling for M rated Zelda can feel grown up.

I think that's why Nintendo is making sure to get a piece of the mobile pie as well now. They realized that though they can move handheld units pretty well (though not nearly as well as DS) they needed to be on mobile too.

I loved Horizon and I'm really excited for what this can mean for Guerrilla Games moving forward. I have to say I enjoy Zelda a bit more. It took me a little bit to really understand why I am gripped by Zelda more, but I figured out it really came down to the physics and interactions of the game. I've literally laughed out loud that the interactions from the world. Like when I come up on a moblin camp and throw a bomb that misses them and hits a tree that falls on a bomb and kills hal...

They are saying it is one of the highest reviews this particular source has given out (it's apparently their second highest). Not that this is the one of the highest scoring ever.

I always have a hard time understanding people who can't play a game because it looks dated. I went back and played Spiderman 2 on PS2 last week and though it looked crappy I had a blast and would easily buy it today on PS4 even if it looked the same. I'm getting both Horizon and Zelda and will likely enjoy them both. There's too many good games out there for me to intentionally limit myself on those metrics.

lol the exact type of person this op was meant to bait.

That's definitely not true since it is getting press on IGN, Gamespot and more. The game itself is getting more press than most things at the moment. I will be getting both that's all I know.

At all the footage at preview events I'm seeing a lot of people come out to say this was their favorite over Zelda which is surprising. I'm eager to try it out as I love fighting games, but I'm interested to see how it does with general public.

I don't know emma watson... I'm pretty sure you're a millennial. Let me check your imdb to be sure.

I'm excited for this renaissance. Ratchet and Clank was a great game for PS4 and it looks like all of the other great 3D platformers on the horizon are coming to all including the Switch so it's a great time for them to make a comeback.

Isn't the wii u still $300? ($200 refurbished). Not necessarily the cheaper device. I understand getting this for wii u if you already have one, but if you don't the Switch seems like the smarter choice since it is also getting ports of the wii u's best games with more content.

This. Japan is market most likely to support with its portable nature and there is some solid JRPG presence announced already. Reception seems to be mixed at best for the west and Nintendo has a chance to build interest at or around E3 in that market depending on what they show.

I'd be partial to Ultra Gameboy but obviously they would just call it the Switch since you can buy the dock if you want it.

I don't agree with it being too large to carry around. All the hands on talk about it being light and its size is comparable to a standard market tablet. Sure it can't fit in your pocket, but it's easily just as portable as any current tablet or laptop with a case which I see people do every day.

The most important thing he said is that there is a price drop already built in. There was another dev on Radio Free Nintendo talking about how the Switch is going to drop price much faster than the wii u because it was built to be able to from a design perspective. Drew mentioned already how easily you can adjust the SKU to save money by taking out the dock and Nintendo will be able to start shaping that as early as this holiday. That is where the most momentum potential lies.

Yeah and early reports say that Nintendo said components yield themselves to price drop faster than the wii u by design (ie gamepad held up price drops which is why wii u is still as much as it is).

That's actually a really good point. Across the board naturally that adds up but not too much.
