Coming from someone who just graduated in international business and did research on business practices in Japan, I must say you should avoid commenting on other people's business knowledge because your analysis has shown nothing to prove you have any.
Whoa, whoa easy on the blanket statements. You just called all Japanese companies ignorant if you don't realize what you just said.
I think you need to be more specific.
Did you read the article?
You might wanna go to ign and read keza's story because you have no reason or backing to believe Nintendo needs to go 3rd party. The story actually has some stated finances and facts and it might do you some good to actually know what is going on.
I like how everyone thinks they know for sure that Iwata is the problem. All you guys must work at Nintendo. It is so typical for people who only understand that there is an issue but nothing more to be quick to ask someone to be fired. I'm glad at my manager job that if I did 3 things really well and messed up one thing that I am not immediately called to be let go...
Great care to elaborate? Which features would sell it for you specifically? Mind you I want to see justification on what exactly Nintendo would have to do to make you buy the console. This may not be the best place for an intelligent discussion so if anyone wants to PM me about it feel free.
It is funny how people naturally assume getting rid of a top staff will make a company better, when in reality it could be the riskiest option they have. Things could get much worse (and historically they have before) for a company that tries to go a new direction with a new leadership instead of working out with the person who has been with a company for years. I doubt this will happen but I guess we will see.
I have a question that has peaked from seeing so many comments only on negative articles about Nintendo, and I would like to play devil's advocate. The top 3 things I see said about what is wrong with Nintendo's Wii U are 1. No 3rd party, 2. Fire Iwata, and 3. Hardware not good enough.
The last time I saw a Nintendo console with decent 3rd party support, not majorly led by iwata, and had competitive hardware was the gamecube. A console that led to profit for Nintendo...
That depiction of Idris Elba as Green Lantern...why has this not happened yet?
@jackanderson
key work kinda. The Wii u gamepad can't operate apart from the console as a portable device outside the given range. I agree that a hybrid console would be their next move. It would benefit them to only have one console to focus on making software for rather than 2, and with the expanding Nintendo is doing with many of their headquarters and dev teams we would be looking at a console where 1st and 2nd party games are coming out much faster than currently to ...
Great partner and standalone device.
Doubt this will grab the same attention as the first article.
It's good to see these studios expanding as well as Nintendo as a whole. This should help them get their games out and decrease development time for some of their games.
Next Level has a strong history with Nintendo so I think it is more down to the relationship, and I think it is not unlikely that we would see them do something for wii u. I did love me some super mario strikers!
How would you even know if they are? If you are judging from comments on N4g or any big gaming site you might need a new source.
Another dumb comparison article. I swear people can seem to be happy for the PS4 without knocking another console. I'm enjoying my PS4 and it deserves mad props for its hardware and software sales, but no need to be insecure and bring down other consoles.
Seriously though wouldn't have it any other way.
I think it is natural to assume that it will at launch, but less likely after its launch window ends.
@foxtrot
Then say what you mean. And that is still ignorant of you to even generalize within the industry
