No, the guy who did the survey relayed the numbers he came up with. If you ever take a statistics class though, you will get a basic understanding of different methods and types of quantitative studies. This was an internet survey, and what is known as voluntary response. What that means is that the participants weren't selected, but if they saw the survey they had the option to participate in it of their own free will.
Unfortunately, studies can be prone to what i...
Wow...no wonder companies that produce other kinds of media are starting to recognize videogames as a potential source of revenue.
Was...anyone really expecting a mobile Mario Kart to be that good? My definition of disappointing is when I have expectations for something that aren't met. But I for one never expected much from Tour.
On top of that, this is what they replaced VC with, which is a service that had more NES and SNES games, and games from other systems too.
Plenty of people who identify as gamers and are dedicated to the hobby own more than one system, and the Switch is commonly seen as an ideal secondary system to invest in due to it being more different from the other two than they are from one another. However, gamers don't represent the entirety of people who own videogame consoles.
For example, while every system has games that span all ratings (except maybe AO), Nintendo has established itself in the eyes of many a ...
Probably not a whole lot.
@DarXyde Yeah, I can agree that fans of all systems have said some really dumb things over the years. But, they don't represent every fan of that particular system. I tend to go by how often they've said stupid things, and also the ratio of positive to negative interactions I've had with them. With fans of most systems, most of the time, there's maybe the occasional dumb comment, and most of my interactions with them are neutral, with the occasional positive interaction. ...
I miss my local rental store. It held out a little longer than the Blockbuster and Rogers in my area, but it eventually had to close. I have so many memories of renting movies, games and even a PS2 that one time before I got one of my own.
So that in the off chance you’re ever cloned, your clone will have something to do while you figure out what to do with him as you’re enjoying gaming on your other Switch, PS4 or XB1? You’re clearly prepared for a situation no one else is prepared for, especially if you want to play with yourself online. ;)
Multi-page articles should die and stay dead.
Yes, for the types of games where it is applicable. It’s difficult to imagine games without it.
@DaDrunkenJester I for one don't wish for any brand to fail or that means less competition, and monopolies aren't great for any industry.
So the success of the Switch is why Nintendo fans are jerks? I don't know, there's probably more to it than that, especially since I haven't run into the same problem with PlayStation fans. I also don't recall Xbox fans being that bad, even in 2006. Then again, I could just be experiencing some kind of memory ...
That’s a good way of looking at it. Man, it seems that Xbox fans lately have been quite rational and are open to analyzing both the strengths and weaknesses of the brand. At the very least you’re more worth talking to than Nintendo fans in this day and age.
I think the most important thing is being able to play our older games, first and foremost. But I’m all for additional enhancements if that’s in the cards.
Nintendo says hi. Worst of all, their ports of WiiU titles are still being sold at full price. At least I was able to snag The Last of Us on PS4 for $15CAD.
You realize that video games are an entirely different beast than movies and music, right? There’s a little more to them, hence why you can’t just play every game on every system. There are multiple reasons why this is so, but I doubt there’s any point in trying to explain it to you. Suffice to say, it ranges from business reasons to hardware reasons.
*snicker* I'm sorry, what? At this point they may as well just release a completely different product...except they shouldn't do that because they clearly haven't bothered to put the slightest bit of research into the market they were trying haphazardly to break into here. Without understanding what people want in a product of any kind, there's no point in trying to break into the corresponding industry. The gaming industry is no exception.
To be technical, Google will be fine. I'm sure their net worth is astronomical. I can see them adding this PoS to the long list of their failed products though.
Wow, looks like a great time to be a PS4 owner.
I haven't actually seen a lot of people being elitist towards Nintendo lately. Get off your high horse. I have, on the other hand, met a lot of pompous Nintendo fans. My beef with your kind has nothing to do with your system of choice, which I also happen to like, and everything to do with the fact that most interactions I've had with Nintendo fans on this site have been negative. Maybe you're the exception to the rule, in which case I apologize; but if not then maybe look in ...
