It needs to launch, and have games. That’s PlayStation’s biggest strength over Xbox, so hopefully that will continue into next gen.
I would have appreciated an unlockable obtained by playing the game as that’s something sorely missing in this day and age. I don’t have time for a fan club though. Plus, it’s Doom. It’s not the kind of game I talk much about but just play.
Why not try pre-ordering? You can pay off the system gradually that way, interest free, and when it comes time for release, you can just swing by and pick up your system.
Well, you get what you pay for, and I'm sure these new systems will be priced appropriately.
That would be nice. I can see 64GB cards being almost, if not entirely exclusively a thing Nintendo themselves use if they do roll them out, for the reason you established. At least it will make for even better first party titles if it does end up being a thing.
It needs a XAD Edition?
To push an all-digital future, of course. I can see a company like MS doing this, and heavily promoting that SKU so they can push a narrative that physical games are a less viable market. They will base that purely on Series X sales of course. If that happens I'll "deal with it" by buying a PS5 instead, which I'm planning to do anyways. The Series X has a lot to prove before I so much as think about it.
Since I'm anticipating new games and better tech than what I have, I'm sure the new systems will meet my expectations.
Well, no problem there. Monokuma FTW! That's probably the only requirement I meet. Plus, I'm not Japanese, don't live in Japan and I think getting the Japanese language down is probably a losing battle.
I have this on my Steam wish list. I don’t know if that’s heretical or not but I’m not the most uptight about stuff like this, and I actually think it’s kind of neat, much like that Jesus action figure I saw once.
Except Christmas is also a secular holiday, as evidenced by its prevalence among atheists in the West, and although Japan doesn't celebrate Christmas in the same way, there are ways in which they do celebrate it, such as spending time with their significant other, or ordering a big bucket of KFC, or both. Seriously, look it up, it's fascinating how big KFC is over there, especially around Christmastime.
It is true that it's not celebrated in the same way, but i...
Hopefully he at least ordered some KFC to keep him going. That's legit what Japanese people like to eat around Christmas time.
EGS may be a cancer, but this is not on them.
Yeah, this is why I dislike Nintendo fans. I don't believe any company is perfect, and there's always room for criticism as there's always some way they can be even better, whether it be a feature that can be implemented, a service that can be added or improved upon, a game that would be nice to have or an improvement that would be nice to see in future games of a particular series.
But as far as Nintendo fans are concerned you absolutely cannot criticize Ninte...
How is not having a feature that the competition has a good thing? If you don't like it, then it's not a feature that's relevant to you. So be it. I don't particularly need trophies/achievements, but that's still a feature that the Switch doesn't have, and is therefore a leg up that the competition has.
Huh? You call failing to live up to the success of the 360 a revolution? A revolution in what? Boosting his ego through interviews and doing very little of actual substance?
I’ll still buy them. I can’t speak for others but I’m not big on this cloud BS.
I agree with the first statement. The Vita was a criminally underrated system that deserves more credit than it got. However, I can’t recommend one in 2020.
The Switch is the natural progression of the Vita, except...you know...successful. It’s a great system too that does have Western and first party support in addition to the Japanese and indie games the Vita was known for. Plus, it’s readily available. I’d recommend that in this day and age.
That’s one thing I dislike about the current age. I miss when I could get a system for Christmas, hook it up, and play it right away. Then again, I rarely have a problem setting up systems, and that’s part of the experience too in the same vein as opening the box and taking off the plastic. Still, it’s a hurdle to get over before I can actually play a game. I guess it’s a trade-off. I certainly know it will be worth the wait when I can finally play something on it.
I’m not too worried about whether there will be exclusives for the PS5. We will likely get that in spades. Whether there will be AAA exclusives in the launch lineup in particular remains to be seen, but I’m sure there will be exclusives that launch with the system, AAA or not.
