I don't think so. People beating a game using new features can call it beating the game if they want as it's all a matter of semantics. But they can't claim they beat it without the assistance of those features (unless they wish to resort to sophistry). If someone finished a game the old fashioned way that's no less impressive now than it was back when said game was only beatable in that way. There's nothing to belittle or tarnish there as that's still an accomplis...

Sounds like a case of people getting overly sensitive about a Twitter comment. Besides, Mike probably has actually beaten most if not all games that have rewind features without using them, so he’s not just an armchair gamer.

Besides, he’s clearly not telling people how to enjoy a game. I think it’s great that there are new features that make old games more accessible. Mike is right though that the experience of powering through a game the old fashioned way is lost if yo...

Well, no one’s making you click articles about it. If you don’t like hearing about something, why take the time to at least enter the page and leave a comment? You can just ignore it and just keep scrolling, just saying. This is relevant to those of us who like Death Stranding and we really don’t care what you think, so goodbye.

Yeah, while these attempts to sabotage the success of PS exclusives are sad and pathetic, they also appear to be pointless as there’s no evidence that they actually work.

I hadn’t exactly given it much though but I’ve been playing the indie game Graveyard Keeper. I guess I felt the need to do some burying as I entered the new decade. It’s still odd that this is the game I inadvertently started 2020 with, but I guess it’s too late to take that back now.

Given that it was obvious 3 of them would be BS and Death Stranding would be for people who are open to a different kind of experience, I think the journalists behind sensationalist articles just forgot to do their research before setting their expectations for certain games. Ok, I can see how some people might have expected more out of Fallout 76, but they clearly weren’t following it prior to release.

I know I sure value it.

Ah, capitalism, you heartless wench. I hate that games come at the expense of so many people being overworked. Do you really think criticizing it will accomplish much though?

"It will be out when it's ready. Relax til then." Lulz, I love it. Alright, I'll relax until it's ready and then I'll check it out. This especially needs to come to the Switch. That way they have to have it on their storefront.

Pfft, looking at sales charts is the best game ever. You think we would rather spend our time actually playing games? As if.

Wow, really neat stuff is coming out of this program and props to those who take the time to do cool stuff like this.

When this is the third top piece of the current day and you yourself contribute to that...

Edit: I take that back. This is now in the top spot. O-o

I was going to say that, but you beat me too it. Yeah, they clearly know what they're doing better than any journalist or gamer leaving a comment possibly could, so they should just keep it up.

Of course it doesn't. It's not even out yet, so neither does the XSX.

In all seriousness though, when it comes time to reveal the launch line-up for the upcoming systems, do you really think Sony won't announce any exclusives for the PS5? Come on. Just because we haven't heard about very many of them besides Godfall, doesn't mean there aren't any in development. If you're an industry insider who knows firsthand what's going on at Sony&#...

More and more of my purchases nowadays are digital, but I'll always like having the option to acquire physical copies for certain titles, even if I'm also running out of space for them. There are just certain games I want to own in a tangible form. Also, I don't think subscription services are a good fit for me. I like buying digital games and backlogging them for ages before getting around to playing them. That's something I do with physical games too, come to think of it...

I think it's a case of it being more and more difficult to keep game development a secret in this day and age. But announcing games at the right time can increase hype. It just happens to be the case that games are often announced before something changes and the project doesn't proceed as initially planned.

I heard a theory that there were plenty of games stuck in development hell in the past too, but they weren't announced nearly as often, and when they were...

That technically really is progress. You don't have to drive your dinosaur down to a place, pick out a movie or game, pay to rent it for a pre-determined length of time (usually anywhere between a day and a week) and drive home just to watch it, only to have to make a point of returning it when you're done.

Streaming really is a great thing. It just comes at the expense of all the good things we remember about going to video stores, such as it being a weekly trip ...

DLC has only "gotten better" because it got replaced with something worse as a tool for crooks to exploit the consumer with. I wish we were still in the days before MTs. Saying that makes me hope we're not heading into an even worse era where we're pining for the days when MTs were the worst thing we had to fret about. It's easy to put things into perspective when they weren't as bad as what we have now.

On a side note, I suppose it's now go...

In MS's pile of IPs they could be using but don't, from studios they could be using but don't. This is the real reason why people don't like it when MS buys studios. Hopefully their new acquisitions won't be used for a game or two only for them to be sat on indefinitely as well. Actually, I suppose Rare did turn out Sea of Thieves. Are they really so small a studio that that's all they were able to do in the past however-many years though? And can't Rare outso...

At least yours is plugged in. When my friend got his XB1 he texted me saying it wasn't working and was wondering if I could come look at it. I didn't know much about the XB1 at that point since I only had a PS4, but I figured I would come and look at it anyways. It turned out he didn't have it plugged into his TV. WTF? Some people should really just be banned from having and using technology. You're not one of them though...unless you leave your XB1 there until it eventu...
