I see what you did there.
Indifferent, I guess. I neither love or hate them.
I remember finding these two beyond creepy, but not in a way where I would have called for censorship. And yeah...with the changed dialogue these two are still creepy. Censorship is a terrible idea IMHO. If anything it actually makes you think more about the thing being censored. I completely forgot all about it until this debacle brought it back into the spotlight.
I already posted about my day in Trosstopia in another article and don't feel like doing it again, but it's been a week of not being able to spend any time with my real friends other than sporadic group chats, and I can get within six feet of these animals (mostly because they don't exist and neither does my player character). Suffice to say, I've probably been playing the game too much. I'd say it needs a restraining order, but there's not much else going on, and I&...
Trosstopia Day 7,
It's hard to believe I've been out here a good week now. Nate, the last of the three villagers whose homes I helped set up, is now moving in. Marina is now walking about town. Mabel showed up with her modest umbrella, and I made sure to buy all her wares in the hopes that it will help her consider setting up shop here more permanently, along with her sister.
A bunny named Zipper is in town now and says he will be around for th...
I think it's more that they've just been accepted as being a thing, kind of like background noise. They're there, but...meh. My day's no better or worse off for it, so whatever, I guess.
True, that's also implying it's worth the thought. On the other hand, it is a good target for a joke since no one will be offended by it, as practically everyone knows it's trash.
My Phantom Thieves Edition actually arrived on time! I'll just put that next to my Take Your Heart Premium Edition.
I'm not sure why you're getting disagrees for this (I guess some people on this site haven't actually played previous games). I'm certainly noticing little things here and there that are missing. Oh well, at least the core of Animal Crossing is still here in spades, and I do like having more control than ever over how my town looks. Unlike the person who wrote this article, I am liking my villagers (at least two of whom I had some control over convincing to move here). Eve...
I noticed the villagers don't talk to one another in this game. I'd love for that to make a comeback. I tested this out by trapping Plucky and Genji together by digging holes around them, and they still didn't converse. I have to draw the conclusion that such is not a feature in this game. Maybe an update can add that back in. It's a really minor thing but it was charming in its own right.
There's always some idiot who does. It's really hard to believe, but you'd be surprised by how dumb people can be sometimes.
Trosstopia Day 6,
Yesterday was the most chill day yet. Cheri moved in and we had a ceremony for the opening of the bridge that connects her side of the river to the main part. This hippie dog named Harvey came and invited me over to his island to crash at his place and take some selfies, so that happened. I learned how to make better tools, so that was good. I also finally got my slingshot, and learned custom DIY. But, that's the extent of it.

I think Google are still in the denial stage.
I'll stick to playing my Ubisoft games...and anything else for that matter, locally.
No, it isn't, but clearly Google are still unaware that the body they're trying to CPR has nearly been ground into a fine powder at this point.
That too. I didn't actually test to find out what the character limit is, but I can say that it has been a real pain in games in the past. You would think that a modern game would have a much higher character limit, but oh well, all the more reason why it's good that I went with Trosstopia.
I kept things really simple and just went with Trosstopia. I thought of doing a PlayStation themed island and calling it PlayStation Nation, but I decided I wasn't sure about committing to going all the way with that theme and sticking with it. A less specific name like Trosstopia means my island can be whatever I decide to make of it, and can be changed up on a whim. So, I went with that. Besides, now that I've been playing the game for four days, I can confidently say that I'...
It makes sense. AC games do provide hours upon hours of entertainment spread out over countless days, and as may be especially relevant in these rough times, are very much about getting drawn into a simplistic world. Maybe you can't go out, but you can sure hang out on an island with anthropomorphic creatures. Do try to connect with your actual friends regularly, but Nintendo is here with some imaginary friends you can get within six feet of.
This particular game is ...
It's interesting that Switch has earned that reputation of being the platform to release indie games. I can't act super surprised though as that's been my system of choice for these kinds of simplistic games. I could get them on my PS4 too, but I prefer using my PS4 for more complex titles.
A ReREmake?
