Wasting money on a product I will not be happy with doesn't sound like something that makes sense to me.
You definitely need to check out the Sega Genesis Classics collection then. I think if you want to play the very first game you will need Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection from last gen, but other collections including the one on current gen consoles at least have Phantasy Star 2-4.
I tried this game and didn't get very far into it, but I liked the idea of being able to choose a wife and having different generations. I just wasn't so into the mediocre RPG aspect that is the core of the game. Maybe I should give it another shot. The other Phantasy Star games have the sci-fi aspect and being able to travel to different planets, but this one feels too much like a knockoff of other fantasy RPGs, and not one that really holds a candle to a Final Fantasy or Dragon Q...
I agree with all of these things. I would like to add, I wish we could terraform beaches too. I can see having to keep certain stretches of beach such as the "secret" beach that will be used in at least one visitor event going forward, and obviously there should be some beach for Gulliver to wash up on. However, being able to take away and add beach space should be a thing. Not being able to do that really grinds my gears. It limits what I can do on the outer edges of my island...
I have a couple villagers whose amiibo cards have been listed for over $100USD, but my villagers are not for sale. I am that much more thankful to have them though. That said, it's like the game wants me to have rare villagers. I have yet to come across a cat or dog villager, in spite of the former being the most common villager type in the game.
However, on my first island excursion I met Marina, who's one of only three octopus villagers and the only female of t...
Especially since I've heard people have sold villagers for real money. WTF?
What is this nightmare fuel?
I agree. The original game deserves more recognition. I'm not sure about this remake though. It's not terrible, but compared to the RE2 remake...
Well, my friend who got hooked on Animal Crossing after I started playing, got her fiance (my other friend) to start playing it too, and then he decided to get a Switch Lite and his own copy of the game, as then he could have his own island. Apparently they could do that with the money they saved by not going out and doing stuff. So...there's definitely more to it than just being able to take the system outside.
@the disagrees It saddens me that those who claim to be enthusiasts of Japanese voice acting are unfamiliar with quintessential games like the Corpse Party series (some of the greatest voice acting I've ever heard in any language), and Stein's Gate (also excellent). It's not too late to remedy that.
In any case, the point is, it's possible to not have a language bias when it comes to voice acting, and maybe some people just happen to prefer an English voic...
Half-Genie Hero is a bit of a disappointment IMHO, but still very much worth playing. This new game looks to be the game I wish we got with Half-Genie Hero, so I'm super stoked.
I’m sorry...what?
WTF are you on about? I’m guessing your post is meant for a different article, but you clearly got the wrong one.
Or perhaps you are unable to appreciate English voice acting due to being a hipster purist? Besides, I'd say Maaya Sakamoto is a poor man's Asami Imai. That the former has been in more stuff lately doesn't change my mind on the matter.
Lol. That's why I don't eat Cheetos or anything similar (like Doritos) while playing games. I prefer my controllers to get covered by invisible stuff like viruses and bacteria to being gummed up by stuff I can see. I know controllers, much like any device, will get disgusting no matter what I do, but it's easier to not notice that when I can't see it or feel it, as can sometimes be the case if you pick a gaming snack that really doesn't go well with also handling someth...
Oh yeah, I forgot this was a thing. It's good to know it's still a thing as I would buy it.
People in Animal Crossing: New Horizons seem nice. They're just terrible to the villagers they want out as the game provides no other options.
It depends on whether it's made out of a desire to revisit a beloved game of the past and expand on what made it so beloved, or because the RE remakes have rolled in a lot of money for Capcom and they want more of it. Either way we would at least get meh, but in the former case we would likely get something awesome.
@Sono421 Agreed, though I think we've made our point. I have great respect for Imalwaysright, I just happen to disagree with him on what counts as being anti-consumer. I do wish everyone happy gaming, and in fairness to Nintendo, they have done a lot of things right. They're just not above criticism, because no company is.
That a lot of people tend to give Nintendo a free pass is what gets me more than anything, but I don't support products I think are with...
Indie studios and the Japanese. I would have a hard time recommending someone invest in a Vita now, but for those of us who own one, I'm glad the system is still getting support. On the other hand, the Switch is kind of the new Vita but with much better support, so I have more or less moved over to that as my primary handheld and a secondary console. That said, sometimes I do want to go back and play games I already own on the Vita, such as Sayonara Umihara Kawase Plus.
