Lulz.
Ha! So much for being "essential retail".
If they're essential then I'm the Joker in drag. They know exactly what they're doing with that "essential retail" bit. It doesn't make it the truth, but they are clearly trying to capitalize on everything that's going on.
Maybe now's a good time to play Plague Road from my backlog. I got it in a Switch sale a while back.
Perhaps they play games at the White House because it likely has amazing wifi, which would be fantastic for online multiplayer or large downloads. I know that's not what you actually meant, but I couldn't resist.;)
At least they have work right now...somehow. Many people are out of work currently.
If they're essential then I'm a T-Rex dressed as a Leprechaun. I get that entertainment such as videogames is among the sparse options for keeping occupied during these interesting times, but there are other ways to get them that don't involve cramming into that small, confined space of a store, and that's if I set aside my gripes with them. There's always digital, which can be accessed from home. If you really want a physical copy of something, there's always Amazo...
Indeed. Of course if you want to get technical, fun is a type of engagement while not all types of engagement are necessarily what can be called fun. I would say some kind of engagement is essential for a game to be worth playing, but what that entails is different for every game and for every player.
Well, I will continue to have a PS4 for PS4 games, so this doesn't really affect me much. It would have been nice to just need one system to play both PS4 and PS5 games, but I'll manage. It will be nice to see the SSD load up any of my PS4 games that did make the cut, so I'm looking forward to that, and I hope more PS4 BC will be added over time.
Under most circumstances, I don't think I would call buying game consoles adulting. But, adulting all the time is overrated.
And here's another instance of playing with fire. Just like with Earthbound and Chrono Trigger, you have two classic games that are still regarded as great to this day, so whichever one you prefer, all the power to you.
I don't understand all this technobabble. Show me games and let me decide. I'm pre-ordering a PS5 regardless because I know the games will be there. MS has a lot to prove with with the XSX, so for their sake hopefully they've made the right choices. Besides, how many people squabbling about technical specs are playing on their Switches after they're done posting?
I know enough to know that I really don't know a whole lot. I understand that higher numbers for things such as Teraflops is correlated with performance, but I don't know how it all works, so while I've been lurking these tech spec discussions, I really don't think I'm qualified to weigh in on them.
All I do know is I'm pre-ordering a PS5 regardless because I'm sure it will be great, and I have never been disappointed with a PlayStation. I me...
Well, duh. When considering which system to buy if you have to make a choice, it's recommended you go with the one that plays the most games that interest you. That's why exclusives move systems.
Lulz. I miss Tokyo Jungle. Maybe I’ll dust off my PS3 to play it.
Well, this will only be the third time I've double-dipped with Persona. Technically I triple-dipped with Persona 3. I double-dipped with Persona 4 (and really wish Golden wasn't locked to the Vita so other people I know could play it). So...I'm a sucker, and I'll do it again.
Good thing I'm keeping my PS4 around, and I still have my PS3 too. If I want full BC I'll get my PS2 repaired.
Fair enough. I can wait. I'll pre-order it as soon as I am able to though.
Ok, cool. When can I pre-order it?
Hopefully their future is...none. They're trash.
