Nice! So many devices these days don’t have headphone jacks and it annoys me. I’m glad the DualShock 5 will. I’m excited for the PS5.
I haven't gotten the game yet but what I'm hearing is disconcerting...maybe I'll hold off until it drops in price. I'm confident that I'll enjoy it regardless, but I'm getting the sense that it's not an $80CAD game...which is ok, but I was hoping for more than ok with this remake.
Thank you for pointing out something I barely glanced at while getting to the info. Yeah, I think I need to do that now.
I'm going black. Is that the classic PS logo from the PS1 days on it? I love it.
I did not know that. That's good info to have, thanks.
Read my post. I'm not saying it isn't a RPG or trying to discredit it in any way. Just that it's not what I would point to if someone were to ask me for a game or franchise that exemplifies the quintessential JRPG, let alone label it as anywhere near one of the greats in the genre. In other words, don't break a game in the series down into its components and examine how one particular component of the game compares to other examples of games that revolve around similar mech...
Baby's first JRPG? Heck no. Sure, Pokemon is technically a JRPG with some of the staples of the genre, but most of its appeal lies in the collection aspect. I respect it for being the most successful franchise that involves summoning and battling creatures, but I think it's a mistake to approach it as a JRPG.
Random encounters do have meaning, I'll give it that. However, as far as turn-based battle systems go, I find it quite lackluster. I've just seen ...
It was instrumental in helping shape the genre into what it is today with multiple entries in the series being influential for their time. Of course it's famous. More recent entries haven't been nearly as influential IMHO, but the series still has that legacy that it built up over the years, and that's why it will forever be among the most successful JRPG franchises.
I've been going digital quite often lately. It's a great way to social distance and not have to go to stores or have stuff shipped on time. I never was much for going digital with full retail releases, but lately that has been a convenience that I have embraced fully. I do still buy physical copies, but my next physical purchase will likely have to wait until after the whole mess we're in is over. Who knows, if we eventually get a complete set of all the parts of the FFVII rem...
Indeed. If there's a complete set down the road and it comes in a nice box, I'll definitely have to get the physical edition.
I'm looking forward to it, but there have been more than enough games to keep me busy, so I can be patient. I'm sure it will be worth the wait when it finally does release, but for now I'll get by.
Dino Crisis would be neat too. I want both.
I say yes!
At least they tried something other than a says dev piece...yeah, they're not the greatest.
I see. It just says adjusts rate of drops for some eggs until April 11th. If that includes reducing the rate of egg spawns in place of fish then I approve.
How about balancing things so that not every mid-sized fish is an egg? That's what people really want.
I'd love that but I'm pretty sure Konami isn't letting the franchise go (even though they're not using it). Well, on the bright side, Kojima can make whatever kind of horror game he wants now, so maybe we will get something even better, and that's not to say absolutely no ideas from Silent Hills could make their way into whatever new game he comes up with, should he follow through on that.
He is kind of creepy. I hope if Bunny Day is a tradition that is continued next year, some changes will be made to balance it out. I haven't really had an issue with eggs displacing other resources...except the fish. There are still four fossils among the eggs in the ground of my island, and I've still been able to gather plenty of wood. But, maybe Nintendo can explain to me why I can't catch mid-sized fish right now? If eggs could randomly spawn in place of wood from trees, ...
This must be your first Persona game. This is what Atlus does with with this series. Granted, with Persona 3 and 4 it made a little more sense due to DLC not being a thing or the updated version of the game being on a different system. P4G came out several years after the original too, and was on the Vita. It makes a lot less sense for them to continue the practice of requiring the purchase of a new version of the game to access new content. I guess there are still suckers who will do it...
Western Yuri? I don’t know how well that would work..
