I didn't realize MS's presentation included the PS5. By that logic I look forward to Sony's presentation of Switch games.
Videogames are great for a pandemic, and Nintendo just happens to have an intriguingly versatile system on the market right now. That and I can't imagine a better time when they could have released an Animal Crossing game. If there was ever a time when I needed a second life, it's now.
I love it. Not only does it have a huge amount of content, but there's so much variety in the different areas and enemies, and the environmental storytelling has to be among of the best I've come across. The world it creates is beyond interesting and engaging. I like the atmosphere too. The emotional weight of that scene when I met Quirrel in the City of Tears is...beyond what I thought I could possibly feel for a bunch of bugs. Hollow Knight intrigued me from start to finish and...
It's also the games journalists who need to stop doing that. Everyone knows that the recent Xbox event...was an Xbox event, but it's pretty evident that the third party presentation consisted mostly, if not entirely, of multiplats. Tell that to the games media though, who have been presenting these games as only coming to the XSX. As far as I know they should be an unbiased third party, so they should have no issue being truthful in the news they present.
Really? If true, I'm down for that. Heck if a large company like Konami can be bothered to make something like that without someone else funding it, but I guess whatever it takes to make it happen is worth it.
Just to be clear, we're still holding out for Konami of all companies to make it, correct? In that case, I think we will be waiting for a very long time. Maybe it's time to move on to new IPs like The Medium.
Well, RE3 remake aside, they've certainly impressed me in the last few years. They've put a lot of effort into both modern and retro titles. Screw Konami. I'm glad Capcom went the other way and decided to ramp up game production.
Hmmmm...well, at least it will happen in online form. E3 won’t.
It sure delivered on some great looking...multiplats, some of which I'll be enjoying on my PS5 when I get that.
I never go into a gen with super high expectations anymore. I expect things to look better, sure. But though I find that's always true, and there is usually still an initial "whoa" factor, it has been less for me every time. Maybe it's because I've been gaming for a very long time as I find there is less and less that surprises me. Maybe it's because I've come to realize that graphical improvements are par for the course, and that once the honeymoon phase is ...
It's not the exclusivity in and of itself that is important, so much as the incentive exclusives provide to check out a particular system. Slight power advantage or not, the two upcoming systems are going to be relatively similar and are going to share the vast majority of their games. But, I'm obviously going to pick the one that has more games coming to it that interest me, and I've long since learned that a PlayStation will always be a safe investment for me. If MS wants me ...
And somehow I'm still not very impressed. I look forward to pre-ordering a PS5.
I really hope various governments will eventually wise up and come up with some legislation against MTs in full retail games, but in the meantime, all I can do is shake my head at the number of morons out there who support this nonsense. Oh well, I’ll do my part and refuse to so much as buy a game that has MTs, cosmetic or not.
Whoa, I'm using that same exact wallpaper and flooring in my back room. I have a different setup though, with a rug that looks like a picnic blanket and what looks like a Japanese-style picnic, complete with pillows to sit on, and a pile of leaves in the back to make it look more like a real forest with cherry trees (even though it's quite apparent it's just a room). I need that figure in my life though.
I didn't realize Zangetsu was still relevant in 2020 but...interesting.
I'd rather all future remakes get the RE2 treatment instead, but I suppose that would be better than nothing. Here's hoping that when a CV remake finally happens it will be worth the wait.
Agreed. So does RE3 for that matter. These two games, RE0 and the Revelations games are underrated compared to the fan favourites, but I think they're just as deserving of love.
I agree, though I suppose I'm ok with it getting remade after RE4 too, so long as it happens. I think 4 has aged much better, so a CV remake would be splendid.
That I would love, or at least just a change to how the camera can work. It's kind of odd that the front of every building can only face one direction, and the camera can only face in the opposite direction of the buildings when outside or in one of the service buildings. I guess it's a huge improvement that we have an easier option now for placing items in our homes, and that we can place items outside, and terraform our island. So, perhaps we should count our blessings.
I'll wait for official word from someone who works for the organization. I don't know if this is the last we've seen at E3, and I think there's a high chance it will return...but there's also a high chance that it will at the very least be somewhat different from how it has been in the past. Even without the current pandemic it was clear that the industry was (and still is) shifting, and if events like E3 are to continue, they should shift too.
