Or maybe that's just a part of who Ellie is and people are making a bigger deal out of it than need be. Not everything needs to be a soap box for social activism. I'm all for using media as a means to advance a cause if that's the intent behind the work, but it's just as damaging to make a big deal everytime say, there is a LGBTQ character in a game, as you're simply acknowledging that's at odds with the status quo.
In a game like this, what'...
I wasn't aware there was controversy over this. I'll be getting this because I enjoyed the first game, but Ellie's choice in partners is just a footnote.
We don't know enough about the game to make a definitive judgment, so how does this author figure it will bomb? Besides, Kojima's at the helm of this one and Konami aren't breathing down his neck to compromise his creative vision. The game is in capable hands.
I would assume it's because the power advantage hasn't had nearly as much of an impact as MS was hoping for thus far, and they are finally coming to the realization that games are what sells systems first and foremost.
They've had decent studios for a while now though, and just don't use them. MS purchasing more studios doesn't mean anything until we hear that they're producing games. Even when we do hear about upcoming games from these companies, odds are they'll be forgotten like all the other MS studios not long afterwards.
Shhhh...hypocrisy is supposed to go unnoticed so gamers can be thrown under the bus and used as a scapegoat for all of society's problems. Failing that, hyperbole will do just as well.
I don't even necessarily care about that. I'd rebuy some titles if they came to the Switch and could be purchased. I'm all for adding features to old games, but not if it comes at the expense of only being able to access certain titles period, and not being able to just have a title outside of Nintendo's subscription service. I for one like to buy titles and backlog them indefinitely until such time as I feel compelled to give them a try.
Worst of all, ...
Call me when they come to their senses and offer a real successor to VC. Until then, I guess I'll have to rely on emulation.
I guess I didn't get as good a look at Claire in the trailer, but she's looking just as youthful as Leon in this artwork.
Not to be pedantic, but if you know you're deluded then you're not really deluded.
It's subjective, but I think Sony edged out a win. Maybe not by the degree by which they've won in previous years, but a win's a win.
If MS fully embraces streaming and GAAS as the future of Xbox, there's at least one gamer who will stick with PlayStation, especially if their next system doesn't have physical media capabilities or implements some BS DRM.
It's not even being made by the same studio, so what reason is there to assume it would be?
Makes sense. The first REmake added in unused concepts that were axed from the original game. In that case it was due to memory constraints that were no longer a factor when working with newer hardware and a newer software format. REmake 2 is two gens later so that's even more true here. The stuff from RE1.5 has me intrigued though as I think those concepts were reworked for other reasons into the RE2 we know. Still, now's the perfect opportunity to add new content and that will d...
I don't care about style, I only care about games, so for me Sony won.
Sony, hands down. Sure, the vast majority of games they showed we already knew about, but it was great to see more footage from them.
You could only be disappointed if you didn't watch Sony's presentation for the games, which is kind of the point of E3, no offense. Sure, there weren't a lot of new announcements, but seeing more footage of games we were already excited for was good enough for me.
It's sad when we get to the point where devs have to specify their game doesn't have Loot Boxes, as if we should assume all AAA multiplayer titles have them otherwise...
And you joined MS to get there? I don't know how to break to you just how mistaken you were. Rare and Mojang might send you a welcome basket though.
Well, it's Epic Games's problem to fix so I'm not sure why people are harping on Sony for this. By that logic Nintendo should also be blamed for a third party account activated on their system not being compatible with the PS4. But no, a third party account is the domain of the company behind it. No such issue exists between the PS4 and other devices either. Just the Switch.
