I can't agree with this. Although it really depends in which way you mean.

For example;

The Vita, graphically, is much, much better than the PS2. Even though games like Final Fantasy X, MGS3, Bouncer, God of War 2 and such looked fantastic on the PS2, there are Vita exclusives that look much, much better. Even when compared to their HD PS2 counter-parts.

The Vita is much closer to an Xbox, graphically, than it is to a PS2. And I find it...

It doesn't matter how many High-end PC titles you compare to the Last of Us, or Uncharted, etc. You'll never have ANY of these games. Most PC games look incredible when taking photos, but I'll always prefer watching gameplay of something seemingly as dynamic as the Last of Us, or even as intense and polished as Uncharted 2 (if you like movies and good little, fun stories like Indiana Jones, or have a likable personality AT ALL, you'll enjoy it).

You'll ne...

And that's why Microsoft is so confident with this Always-On thing. They KNOW they have a fanbase that will put up with almost anything they throw at them.

And even if they don't, Microsoft's rumoured move to included a TV tuner and make Kinect the main way of interacting with menus will DEFINITELY catch the TV watching/casual crowd (most HDPVR's are almost as expensive as consoles and include less space).

So they know if this Always-On dete...

This is not just exclusive to places like that either. There are places throughout Canada and the United States (surely the UK has the same problem) that are much smaller and have some of the worst internet I've ever seen, yet people still play lots of video games there.

I pretty much have my PS3 (WiiU atm) with me where ever I go for work, and more often than not the internet is horrible and can't hold a stable connection, yet alone run a proper Youtube video at 720...

I could completely see them doing this. Since MS is expected to show off the nextBox around this time, they'll pretty much continue the PS4 hype train in an attempt to drown out the competition. Very aggressive and smart move by Sony.

I could see this event fully showing off the console hardware (finally), price, release date, and launch titles. Then when E3 rolls around, they can drag the hype train on even longer with playable gameplay demos and teasers for titles comin...

Price: Hasn't been announced, and since it didn't hurt the PS3 that much, I HIGHLY doubt it'll hurt the PS4. The PS3 launched SLOW, it didn't fail. Someone should bring up how Microsoft has failed to maintain their lead, while Sony is still in high gear.

Game development: Almost every developer that has spoken of the PS4 has been very positive. And hearing the rumours of the Xbox720 using a more complicated RAM setup and to be more media/kinect focused doesn&...

People are disagreeing with you? My GTX 590 (1000$ when I bought it) gives me a TINY performance jump for Bioshock Infinite running at 45-60FPS over the PS3 version. That's only a year and a bit old graphics card. Now take a graphics card from the year PS3 was released and I highly doubt it'll push games like Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 3 and others as far as the PS3 can. Just like if you bought a high end gaming PC now, you need to upgrade at least every 2-3 years to keep up with ...

I hope they realize I'll be able to buy BOTH the Xbox720 and PS4 most likely for less than what it'll cost to get a Titan. And at least I'll be able to play good looking/running games on them for the next 5-8 years.

My GTX590 can't max out most of the games coming out now (only bought it 1 year and a half ago), and I'm forced to settle for a bit (tiny) better than PS3 graphics, running at 60FPS, and that cost me nearly $1000 for the 590 ALONE. Versus my $...

The men are overly masculine, and almost ridiculously "perfect" looking, and the females are getting the exact same treatment.

Look at all the male enemies in the game and they're all built with "perfect" bodies (minus a small few). And it's okay to mercilessly murder all those "man-like" perfectly chiseled bodies, but not do the same to the female-like enemies?

You rip dogs mouths apart, gut a man-like horseman and tha...

Spending time forces folks to play the game as intended.

Spending money gives an instant advantage over everyone else who would need to spend a specific amount of time in order to earn that something. Putting those with less money to spend at a disadvantage from the get-go.

Take Battlefield 3 as example. You don't get certain weapons from certain class types until a bunch of play time has been put into the game. But if you have someone who just jumps in ...

Like I've been saying for a while, I both disagree and agree. Uncharted's strength (and what won it so many awards) was it's story, characters and pacing. Uncharted 2 is easily the best example of a "cinematic game" currently available on any platform.

Tomb Raider on the other hand does a lot more when it comes to gameplay. So it essentially makes it a better "game" than Uncharted, while Uncharted is a better "experience" than Tomb R...

That wasn't that bad at all. She even LAUGHS during the stomp thing, mocking your efforts to "kill" her. She isn't even dead in the end.

That's child's play in God of War.

I was expecting something so much worse by all the uproar. It actually irked me a little bit to hear, but now I don't care. Bring on GoW:A!

I'll be getting this game regardless, since I love God of War. But I do sort of agree that it doesn't "feel" like God of War 1-3. That might be because I'm not sure what's driving him.

I felt sorry for Kratos in the previous games because of his whole family situation. And even more so with Ghost of Sparda with his brother. So him getting revenge felt so satisfying, and killing everyone so brutally felt right.

But I can't help bu...

I'll agree with this to an extent. Uncharted's characters were written better, and the story in Uncharted 1-3 were, in my opinion, better. They felt more polished and "tight-nit".

But I also really enjoyed Tomb Raider. I felt the gameplay was more interesting, with all the customization, exploration and optional tomb raiding. THIS Lara Croft is definitely my favorite. And I can't count how many times I was thinking that Tomb Raider x Uncharted would be t...

I have to say this is incredibly annoying. I'm all for delaying games that are far off release to improve the quality, but this is supposed to be a demo. Just let us play what everyone else has been able to play. It clearly looks "done enough" for a demo.

Plus they have two different demos released now. The E3 demo, and the one that was released just recently.

There's our demo(s).

I'll just pass on the demo and play it...

Especially given the fact that there are more PC games going F2P with tons of Micro-transactions. Valve does it with Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2, and almost all MMO developers are doing it now.

Consoles are the only systems still using the "full-price model".

The big issue here is not exactly micro-transactions. It's that Publishers like EA are trying to release full, $60 games with Micro-transactions included, and implemented the same way F2P ga...

I was going to say "maybe he's going to join Bioware Montreal to work on the next Mass Effect game". Since it made so much sense for a guy who worked on Watch Dogs to lend a helping hand to the folks at Bioware (especially since both, Ubisoft and Bioware, are in Montreal).

But nope. Lead game designer of an open world shooter is going to work on a racing game. Fantastic transition, man./s

I agree, I want my digital PS3 games on the PS4, but the only problem with that is they still require the same hardware disc games use. They were programmed for the PS3, which the PS4 is not.

PS2 games might be possible, and PS1 games are probably very doable. But the PS3 was so different from anything that getting it to run on PS4 may be difficult.

Plus, I can see Sony and Gaikai making the first "Netflix for gamers". So I'd rather them make a ...

I hope they carry over themes to the PS4. That's something the PS3 had over the Xbox360. The themes were more than a few wallpapers. Some changed system sounds and icons as well.

Other than that, I'm glad the XMB is staying on the PS3. With a new console comes a new UI, right? I'm curious of what the PS4's will run and look like once it's released.

From the screen shots, I'm liking the way it looks. But I can't fully judge it unti...
