Pretty sure this guy is trolling here. Not because this information is false, but because it's information that is brought up EVERY time someone posts an article claiming Sony is making a profit.
Apparently Sony has been selling off assets steadily for the past year.
The same reason is because Sony is cutting fat. They're simply restoring balance. They COULD have been making a profit all this time if they adjusted their assets YEARS ago when they st...
I don't get why they just don't do what Valve does on Steam and has the option of marking the photo or video as a Spoiler. It's probably the easiest thing in the world to add when you look at everything else they're doing.
I do find it pointless if the option/ability is there for sharing, but is limited by the developer. Should be system-implemented by Sony.
Wow, this is probably the most douche-y comment I've seen on the internet all day.
Your comparison is completely ridiculous. XboxLive Gold is explicitly for paying for the service of XboxLive which is MAINLY to play online, and fantastic side features like allowing you to pay for another service like Netflix. What a great deal right? I wish I could pay Sony to allow me to pay for Netflix, and the right to play the other half of my games that I already spent around $60 on. /s
PS+ on the other hand, is a service you pay for as well that allows you to have Clo...
This doesn't in any way mean Sony is going under, or that we should be worried. We should instead be applauding them for "de-bloating" their company.
Whomever is in charge should be given a pat on the back for doing this as well.
I hope everyone realizes most of these companies were made as huge as they are now during really good, or at least decent, economic times where high priced items weren't all that big of a deal if bought every now an...
I personally believe $40 is a perfectly fine price for this game. Compare the quality to ANY other game of it's type available and you'll see why it's worth it's dollar. Depth, Animations, quality of art, etc.
I'm going with:
$400 for 250GB or 320GB
$450 for 500GB and PS+
$500 for 500GB, PS+ and PSEye/Move
All will include an HDMI cord, USB charger, etc.
Then in about a year or two (most likely two) it'll probably change to:
$400 for 320GB, PS+
$450 for 320GB, PS+, PSEye/Move
$500 for 500GB, PS+, PSEye, PSEye/Move game(s)
$500 for 500GB, PS+, PS Vita Slim, PS4 x Vita game or PSVita x PS4 demos...
Wow, this random company just made a Monster Hunter game that both looks and looks to play better than any currently released, and future Monster Hunter games made by Capcom.
Just give these guys the game, and get them to develop it for all the other consoles and handhelds. Or take a god damn note from someone who seems to want and enjoy progress.
Good job Tencent.
Actually, Kojima had next to nothing to do with Twin Snakes and doesn't consider it an "official MGS title".
Metal Gear Solid 1 on PS1 is still the OFFICIAL, and proper way of experiencing Metal Gear Solid. Twin Snakes shouldn't ever be offered to anyone as an entry point to the series.
Considering Solid Snake never, ever does anything done in MGS Twin Snakes (side flipping over a full-size door to avoid detection, for example) ever again in...
Like everyone else has been saying, it might be too late for CAPCOM and Monster Hunter on the Vita. Especially if they wait too much longer. If they release a Monster Hunter game for the Vita between Q4 2013 - Q1 2014, they'll stand a chance.
If not, I can see other games silencing it. Especially here in the West. Soul Sacrifice already has a fairly good following and it isn't even out yet. Not to mention the games already available that are like Monster Hunter, and s...
Fake it 'til you make it, amirite?
Most GAMES usually release on Tuesday, so that right there is odd.
Aaaand, I just Wikipedia'd PS2's release date and that was October 26th, 2000 in North America. Which was on a Thursday.
The original PlayStation was released on a Saturday, PlayStation 3 on a Friday, PSVita on a Wednesday, PSP on a Thursday.
So it honestly doesn't seem too consistent. But I'd more than put money on it being released on a Thursday if any of tho...
The only games I feel should be (temporarily) shelved for the PS4 are Uncharted, God of War, and Resistance. Maybe even Ratchet and Clank.
Mainly because it'd be nice if all those developers worked on new IP's, to truly push the PS4. Then eventually bring back all those games after the break so they all feel fresh but similar.
I know for a fact I want to see another LBP on PS4 though. They had to hold back with LBP2 to make sure LBP1 content was com...
I actually agree with him. It probably will be more of the same with some minor, or subtle changes to improve the game itself. The place most FPS's shine is with the Multiplayer portion.
I feel Killzone should have a more open single player, sort of like how Kojima is talking about his "open single player" in MGS5. It would fit the theme with Shadow Fall.
I wouldn't say PS3/360 are based on PC's minimum settings. They're actually much closer to Medium/Medium-High running at 720p with a few settings turned off (Tessellation and such). And exclusives usually push limits even further.
Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, etc running on somewhere near High/Very-High settings at 1080p will probably be the starting point for PS4/nextBox. I'd say Killzone: Shadow Fall, and the little bits of the new inFAMOUS that we've...
The fact that Sony will be heavily including Sony tablets, cell phones and the Vita (and other platforms) into the whole "Second Screen" for PS4 thing, I don't think he knows what he's talking about.
Even Microsoft has SmartGlass, and will surely include their Windows phones and Tablets as second screens.
Sure, they won't be necessary to play PS4 and NextBox, but "over time" (as he says) they'll be cheap enough for Sony and...
This is absolutely true. Most mainstream gamers will go where their friends go. They won't even fully understand "Always-Online".
That is until their internet shits out and they're forced out of their games, or most console features. Or if whoever is using Always-Online network goes out (PSN, XboxLive, NN, etc) and you can't play any of the games you own and paid for.
If SimCity 5 is anything to go off of, Always-Online is a bad move. ...
Not even in the slightest. The name, hardware, lack of software, and console issues are what's stopping the Wii-U from selling.
Most casual fans will just assume the Wii-U is an addon or another version of the Wii, since they have the Wii, Wii-mini, the Wiimote Plus controllers and such, it's easily understandable why people's parents would see spending $300+ on what looks like a new "Wii", rather than an entirely new console, as a waste of money.
There's barely a difference. If they can achieve 60FPS, do it. If not, don't worry about it. I'd much rather have a game that looks beautiful in 1080p at the expense of framerate than the other way around.
Especially when you ACTUALLY play a game, I barely notice a difference between 30FPS in Uncharted 3, and 60FPS in most PC games I play. I only start noticing when it gets to 90+FPS on a 120Hz screen. THEN it runs silky smooth.
It only gets horr...
The issue with this whole thing tho, isn't just that we're gauging Uncharted's success based purely around awards and sales. But the fact that it massively influenced the gaming industry.
As soon as Uncharted set the Benchmark for game-quality (especially animations) and a true cinematic game experience, every other game started doing it, and most games tried copying Uncharted's "everyman" character archetype.
You'd have to be b...
