This makes sense. Given the fact that they'll be pushing Drive Club on PS4 for a while. This gives PD time to push their engine further (which is probably what they've been up to).

Didn't GT5 run on an engine from 2008? So imagine what GT6 will look/play like now that they've been able to get the extra juice Naughty Dog and folks have been able to get from 2011/2012. Not to mention the inspiration PD can take from things done in other racing/driving games. <...

Honestly, who cares about this? Most music enthusiasts have surely backed up their CD's to their PC/Laptop anyways, right? And if you can't back up some of the CD's you know you'd listen to, to a PC, then just back them up to your PS3 now (which I'm sure most have) and then put them on to a USB flash drive before you get your PS4.

Also, Sony has Music Unlimited which I'm sure they're trying to push for more casual music listeners like myself. So y...

That last bit of what you said made me happy to think of. Given the pressure Google is giving internet providers to start upgrading, we may see a massive change in internet speeds to match Google's offerings.

Could you imagine running on a 1 gigabit internet connection? You could stream any game without any issue (ie no loss of quality or lag). I can see this as a feasible future in about 6-10 years. Maybe even less.

When the specs (that were recently confirmed) were leaked, they actually said only 512MB would be reserved for the OS. You need to remember Sony isn't running Windows on the PlayStation.

The only reason PC's need that much overhead to run games is because Windows is such a resource hog. So where you'd need 4GB to play one game on PC, you may only need maybe 2-2.5GB RAM on PS4 to run the same game.

So you're actually incorrect. But I'm n...

The only shitty part is that it'd have to compete with GTA/Saints Row or Red Dead (sequel is supposed to be in-development).

But I'd absolutely kill to play The Getaway again. Enjoyed that game thoroughly on the PS2.

But this is exactly it, don't pay $60 for games you don't like by just not buying them. That dude from Gaikai was talking about this at Sony's PS4 press conference. He was talking about playing games as you feel, and only buying them if you love them. Which is what every gamer should do.

Now if Sony wanted to make a good system with this, they'd just allow all PSN games to be streamed using Gaikai for free with pop-ups and ads (IE Youtube) while disabling tro...

I'm pretty sure it's based on activity. Both my girlfriend and I received $10 and we've been playing Mass Effect 3's MP (among many others games for myself) almost every day since it was released, minus the time I was out of town for work (about 3-4 months).

Not to mention I'm sure I spent well over $400-$500 on the PSN within the same time frame. Also, I have PS+ & Vita and she (girlfriend) doesn't. So PS+ & Vita wasn't necessary for this...

I expected nothing less from this new Tomb Raider game. I absolutely can't wait to play it (already pre-ordered on Steam).

Guys, they literally said during the conference that Gaikai will eventually stream all (most) PS1-3 games. And this feature is also rumoured to be apart of PSWorld (Sub service) and won't have to pay for them regardless of if you own them or not (think PS+ Instant Game Collection but streaming instead of downloading, or Netflix).

This was referring to hardware (or software) emulation. I'm almost completely sure he wasn't saying "it'll never happen on PS4 ...

Not only that, but it was originally rumoured (by leaked documents from that CoD lawsuit case) to come out earlier on Xbox, and how they had some big deal with Microsoft and all this exclusive mumbo jumbo.

Yet the first time we see Destiny openly, it's at Sony's PS4 announcement show and ONLY mentioned to be coming out on PS3/4 AND with PlayStation exclusive content at that! Now we all know it's a multiplatform game, but you'd think Microsoft would have secur...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of this money is going to be heading towards paying off the streaming service/keeping it maintained/getting tons of free games.

I'm very interested in seeing where this goes, and since it includes PS+, I hope PS+ users can get into this at a discount.

As cool as that would be, it's sort of unfair to Kaz given that he was handed Sony in it's current state and is doing everything in his power to turn them around. I think Kaz is more than fitting for the PS4's reveal.

It's so hard to trust this only because of this:

What was gamers largest complaint with the PS3? Install times. Now they (MS) want to FORCE you to install EVERY game you EVER buy. And I know for a fact that 500GB will not be enough after about 4-5 years of solid gaming (not to mention it won't be the simple "6GB" games. Think 15GB and up each).

And what else? Can't use Xbox360 gamepads? DUMB. Considering Sony is rumoured to be allowing D...

I don't know about that. Even Kojima is taking things down from Naughty Dog. When your acclaimed "best developer ever" is asking for help from another developer everyone claims is the best, the point kind of proves itself.

Even Bungie, Infinity Ward and plenty of other developers have asked Naughty Dog how they do the certain things they do (and have also hired people from Naughty Dog).

It's fairly safe to say that Naughty Dog is currently o...

It worked for them with the PS1, I wouldn't doubt it'd work now.

I couldn't see Apple taking out anyone. Mario, Zelda, and others of the sort will keep Nintendo alive, while Microsoft's nextBox will most likely do tons more than Apple TV, and Sony will continue to offer a gamer-centric PlayStation.

Not to mention Apple's "gaming" side of their iPhone/iPad is incredibly lifeless. I've played my fair share of iPhone/Pad games (purchased and free) and they NEVER come close to stacking up to proper console titles. <...

Mario, Halo, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Metroid, Zelda, etc. All good examples of IP's that have had at least 5x more entries than Mass Effect.

Everyone needs to relax. Mass Effect has tons of potential and it'd be ridiculous of Bioware to abandon it. It's like leaving Star Wars, Star Trek, James Bond, or any of the previously mentioned games to die after just 3 games/movies.

I absolutely love the PS3, but I'm not sure if it tops my experience with the PS1.

My PS2 experience was a bit more limited as I mostly just played Metal Gear Solid, Monster Hunter, and Final Fantasy. Whereas I played Crash, MGS, FF (VII!), Saga Frontier, Tomba, Legend of Dragoon, Resident Evil 2, Silent Hill 1, among many, many others on the first PlayStation. It launched me into becoming a "core gamer". Mind you I only casually played SNES and Sega before this...

I hope to god you're kidding. Look up anything Aaron Greenberg and Sony related. And they literally just had two articles where Microsoft execs were bashing the PS3 and Sony.

As for Sony and Nintendo, even tho Nintendo hit Sony the hardest back in the SNES days, Sony just recently wished Nintendo good luck with the Wii-U.

http://myninte...

It's kind of funny because those ads aren't just random BS hits. They're actually completely truthful comments that gamers should support.
