This is just a way to help Xbox exclusive gamers feel better. And it's the normal, flipped, "it's just a joke, man" excuse afterwards. I think PlayStation and Nintendo gamers tried the same thing many times before, yet Xbox gamers didn't take it as a joke.
The usual jackassery of the internet.
Jokes aside, this means nothing to Sony since Gears was always only on Xbox. PlayStation exclusive gamers have no idea what they're missing (a...
Oh that's so sad that Xbox gamers were getting ragged on since June.
How about the entire internet ragging on PlayStation and their fans for about 3 years when the PS3 launched, and with little to reason giving that situations outcome.
The entire XboxOne launch feels like a huge build-up of bad Karma for being snotty assholes, on both Microsoft's and their fans side.
And regardless, there's not much to be excited about here. The ...
I agree with this 100%. My brothers were both unsure of how they felt about the ending, since if you look at it at face value (as in ignoring the entire story and world Naughty Dog created), it seems pretty bad, or confusing.
As soon as I reminded them of what they played, IE not Uncharted and the world is literally the worst place to live, they understood the brilliance of that ending.
The people who had an issue with the ending didn't understand it bec...
I don't use my PS4 that much, but I don't regret the decision to purchase it based on the simple fact that it is there when I want to play it. It's fun to sit down and play a little Resogun, Dont Starve, Killzone, CoD, or any other games that are coming to PS+
And to be completely honest, ever since I started playing FFXIV "full time" (PC, soon PS4 as well), the only time I've ever stopped playing was for a few hours of my game time that is spent on ...
I was about to say the exact same thing. Easily one of the best games available for even the Vita (even tho it's a PSP game).
Sure, it's graphics aren't comparable to games like Killzone Mercs, and isn't using all the Vita's features, but good god is it ever a Final Fantasy fans dream game.
Anyhow, at that price it's a must buy even for folks who are just interested in how the game looks, rather than specifically because it's a F...
Same here. I think it's easily the best of the 3 XIII's.
Although I actually enjoyed the characters and world of Final Fantasy XIII (as a series). And I was one of the few that really enjoyed the combat in FFXIII and XIII-2. Obviously Lightning Returns' combat system is better than the former, but still.
I'm basically saying we get that certain people didn't like FFXIII, but it's not the worst RPG or Final Fantasy out there. I'd...
When you purchase the game for PS4 (if you hadn't already purchased it for PS3), it gives you 30 days of play time. Also, if last weekend was anything to go off of, they'll probably give out "free weekends" with every big patch or Expansion to try to bring players back. So if you bought it once, and stopped subbing, you get a free weekend to try the new stuff, and sub if you decide its worth it.
Also, there are two types of subscriptions with FFXIV. One is t...
Same here. But I also never had my PSN account hacked either. Or my Steam account. Or my Gmail/Hotmail for that matter.
This stuff is purely random, or an attack at an individual. Xbox has this problem just like every other platform or service.
Also it's worth noting that you have to re-enter your credit card info if you have it stored on your account, and take that account to a new console.
So if someone somehow got a hold of your PSN Account info, they would have to re-enter your credit card information. If they choose to skip this step, your CC info is deleted from your PSN account.
So if this person had their card charged, it must have been something they did wrong. Maybe they fell for a s...
If Square could make a fair chunk from Sony on PS+, I'd think this idea would have been brilliant. I just doubt Sony would be down for that since the sub alone costs us at least $13 (or $15).
Sony would essentially be paying for a single subscription per month that everyone on PS3/4 could take advantage of. And imagine how many other money-saving gamers would rather just buy a PS3/4 and get PS+ rather than paying Square per-month as it is now.
The money ...
This isn't going to happen because Sony wants to make money off selling the game on the PSN. And that makes perfect sense since they'll be using their bandwidth to allow PS3/4 gamers to download the game as many times as they wish.
I think Sony and Square were nice enough to offer PlayStation gamers the ability to upgrade to PS4 for free. There's absolutely no need to allow PC gamers to get the PS3/4 version for free. It makes no sense. PC gamers can easily pay th...
Sony and Valve already did cross-platform play between PC and PS3 for Portal 2. Final Fantasy XIV is also cross-play between PC, PS3, and soon PS4 (and your character/progress also carries over to all platforms).
This is the case for a lot of Playstation games that allow it where it makes sense. For example, Counter Strike GO was supposed to be Crossplay PC/PS3, but through testing it ended up being unbalanced so they cut it.
Allowing crossplay across the bo...
And when you compare what is actually going on in most of those Wii-U games to the games coming out on PS4/XboxOne, you'll understand why the stale Wii-U games can achieve 1080p at 60FPS.
Killzone Shadow Fall and Knack are two Playstation exclusives that look TONS better (and far more appealing to the eye) than anything Nintendo has put out, or any of the third parties, for the Wii-U.
When you have proper physics, dynamic animations, dynamic lighting, p...
I think I see why/how they're doing this.
By making the PS3 version ONLY "upgrade" to the PS4 Digital version, it cuts out any losses they would take from giving the retailer money to store/shelve/sell their game. And then they'll probably accept a small hit to their own funds for selling the game on the PSN.
But my only concern is how they said each game will give the option for a limited amount of time. It would sort of kill the whole poin...
You're paying for quality is what you're doing. There are free-to-play MMO's out there, and some that are good (only one I know of is GW2), but the endgame content and lack of any meaningful updates is what kills it, that and the absolute abuse of micro-transactions, pay-to-win game style.
They're trying to run GW2 on micro-transactions and hope that gamers will spend real money on items. The initial buy-in isn't nearly enough to keep an MMO going.
So I'm guessing you haven't been following ANYTHING Sony has been doing, have you? They've been offering a music streaming service for years now, and plan on streaming full video games via Gaikai. And you don't believe they can handle pushing TV shows?
Sony is doing what Microsoft should have done. Streaming TV over the Internet. That's the future. Not waggling you're arms in the air TRYING to change the volume or speaking to your TV unsuccessfully ove...
But you have to understand where all these people are coming from. With all the "PS4 craze" still in the air, and Sony teasing even more game announcements, it's easy to assume this is a lot bigger than it ended up being (same with the SSM thing).
Instead of hyping small things like this up days before, they should just announce it the day of. These things don't need hype.
If Littlebigplanet continues to be made, it'll be done by the guys who made the Vita version. Media Molecule is busy off making Tearaway and a new IP for PS4.
I'm curious of which platform they'll make it for though. PS3 had it's fun with LBP, and keeping player levels and carrying over costumes limited how far they could push, or change the engine, making it (LBP2) feel more like an expansion pack than a full new LBP.
So I'm personally ...
If this game only comes out on PC, PS3 and Xbox360, I'll be buying it on PC. I'm done with this generation once the PS4 comes out, and I won't be buying GTAV as long as it only exists on the PS3/X360.
The only issue with this comment is that by that time, Sony will have ALL the third party entertainment apps and MORE stuff exclusively from Sony themselves.
Sony was smart, and that's why they're ahead. The article is right that right now the price is directed towards gamers, so what did Sony do? They made a console that focused PURELY on gamers and what gamers want (mostly).
What will they do when most of the gamers are bagged? They introduce new ...
