I know for a fact we'll be seeing Cloud. Since that is easily one of Sony's biggest players during the PS1 era (and even PS3 without a game, surprisingly). He had his own PS1 game, then he was in a few PS2 games, and a few PSP games. But not in a single PS3 game.

I'm assuming the developers have something in place where each big publisher can only put in one or two characters (1-2 from Capcom, Square, etc), since they do need to get around to all of Sony's fi...

I don't think the browser will force Sony to do anything. Since I'm pretty sure the constant Dashboard updates would have been a better reason to (visually) update the PS3, but they didn't.

Sony's next "big" update will be the PS4. And with that I hope they prepare the specs for possible UI changes to keep things fresh, and new apps/features.

This would be amazing if all of their in-house developed titles had this kind of user-friendly level editor. It would definitely open up the kinds of content seen from those who aren't so technically inclined to fully create a map from scratch.

I just hope more developers follow this step if Valve ends up doing it. I'd love to play Uncharted, or Gears, in custom maps, or full levels created via a user-friendly level creator.

I'd have to say the Killzone 3 and Uncharted 2 snow levels are the ones I find most impressive in recent times. I remember actually getting that cold feeling from just playing those scenes. Especially the Uncharted 2 train level.

I want more (well done) snow in video games.

I'll buy neither.
I may rent both to try them out (like I've done with Halo since ODST), but I won't buy them. Especially since tons of other, more important, games are coming out in the September - December months.

Well my only reasoning behind it is that Activision wasn't allowing them to be creative and make new things. You can't always blame the developers for a game not making huge jumps on each sequel. Sometimes the publisher doesn't give you enough room to work with.

Although the other way it could work is they end up making yet another Call of Duty without moving too far. But I'm trying to be optimistic.

I feel a bit less upset about this. Only because I know they're trying to make a next-gen open world Final Fantasy featuring airships and cars. So knowing that, the world can't be tiny. And I'd assume that take ages to fully develop.

Not to mention it isn't too hard to wait. We have tons of awesome games to play in the meantime.

If CAPCOM were to add characters, I'd assume they'd be characters from the exclusives that helped during the PS1 and PS2 times.

So we'll probably see Dante, a Monster Hunter character or cat (I see a very small chance for this one), Maximo, Onimusha character and Viewtiful Joe. And the only high-chance-characters would be Dante and Maximo.

Since we do need to remember this isn't a CAPCOM game like they said. So we won't see more than one ...

I'm almost completely certain it's a mash-up character of all Playstation ads. It won't be a character from any one game, since it'd be much harder to please everyone. So creating a brand new villain that is very oriented around the Playstation name is the best, and most perfect idea for a game like this.

Especially since you can create the entire back story of this character from scratch when he doesn't have one to begin with.

I'm hoping that rather than going with a specific character from a specific series, they choose a culmination of all Playstation Ad themes and build a boss on that.

So, for example, a Mecha Kevin Butler that oozes black liquid everywhere and uses an array of the attacks done by all Playstation All-stars. He could even throw creepy black eyed-crying-babies around as bombs.

I think they need to do this.

I gave you an agree because you brought up a good point, but I have to say they played the Playstaton 3 banner at the end of the GoW:A trailer. And displayed the Playstation symbol, PS3 symbol and PSN symbol.

But, I think Sony may be going "crossplay happy" now that the Vita is out. Especially since most developers have stated how easy it is to port a game from the PS3 to Vita (took CAPCOM about a week or two for the Lost Planet 2 demo).

So I do e...

Oh what the eff? Slooooow dooooown. I literally just vowed I'd be spending less money on games, but Sony is making it really hard to do that. They've got me spending more than I want to on exclusives alone. How am I supposed to play other games when they keep bringing out amazing looking titles?

Gah!

Absolute garbage reason to leave out Cloud Strife. He'd be a powerhouse in this game, and would make for amazing battles with Kratos and such.

As for Sackboy... what is this guy thinking? He's Sony's Kirby! The writer said it himself. He can "dress up" as other Sony characters. So one of his main skills would be taking key moves from other fighters, and using them himself (like Kratos'/Nariko's blades, Nathan Drake's guns, Cloud/Seph's b...

Well that was exciting. I will be playing these maps for sure.

After watching the ending for inFAMOUS 2, the only way they could continue it is with a brand new main character, or take this perfectly set-up situation and make a multiplayer inFAMOUS.

Although, I'd rather have it on PS4. Since inFAMOUS's grand scale is kind of held back by the hardware. As the games try to be more ambitious, they need stronger hardware to support it. I'd much rather they save it for when their entire idea can be shown in the game instead of cu...

It almost seems like we should expect Sony to announce a few games during the months running up to E3. They've been doing this the last few years.

But now I'm just curious of 1.) what game it is, and 2.) what they plan on announcing at E3. My first guess on E3 would probably have to be PSMove related, since they're announcing a few of their big games elsewhere (Last of Us, God of War Ascension, this other game).

Well I'm hoping Activision will be releasing Infinity Ward's next game as a launch title for PS4/Xbox3rd. It only makes sense given the rumors about dev kits being sent out to key devs.

And I'm guessing Sony will be prioritizing Activision with the PS4 since they did the same for the PSVita (and Acti/MS's deal wears off around spring 2013 too I believe).

I'm also hoping they'll be putting that money they earned towards building a new e...

The reason it's hard to say whether or not it's HS2, or a new GOW, is because the colour palette used here is the same as Heavenly Sword, and the style is the same as God of War.

So you could look at it as if it is either of the two games, or the fact that SSM is making HS2, and having recent experience with God of War 3, it kind of bled into the style of the art for HS2.

It's just so hard to get over the exact words on the back of the case for H...

I'm very interested in this game. The entire idea is amazing, I just hope they can pull it off.

There's a difference between passionate gamers and cry-babies, yes. But a lot of the people who complained about the story (ending-ish area) not making immediate sense to them didn't take the time to actually pay attention to how certain situations worked out, or could have worked out.

I was mostly* fine with the ending because I was able to assume how certain things played out. Sure, it would have been nice to have gotten some visual feedback on my assumptions, but I...
