If they just fixed some minor things and added much more in regards to moves, upgrades and such, the game would have been damn near perfect. I loved it, but I was one of those people who spent $5 on renting it, finished it and never looked back.
I may buy it when it hits around $10 or so, just to have in my collection since it was a really good game.
I think they should honestly go back to just showing off the hardware and situations in which you'll use it. Apple nails it with the iPad/iPhone/iPod. It's simple and to the point.
They're definitely awesome trailers, but I don't think it's going to tell anyone anything. Since you're left with that "Well that was exciting! Ummm, so what does it do?" feeling at the end.
You and I may know about the Vita, but those who don'...
And this is why I didn't buy the 3G version. Well, that and the fact that you can't really get the 3G version in Canada yet (as far as I know).
My iPhone 4S Hotspot feature will be more than enough to send and receive scores/PSN msgs/game page & trophy data, etc, on my Wifi model.
Also, my First Edition Vita is in the mail right now. Should be here tomorrow! :D
Just like I expected for most of those.
The system sellers will be the games released between now and the end of the year. Although there's more than enough to make someone buy it now, my guess would be more people will buy into it on Q3-4 2012.
But no matter.
I can't wait for my First Edition Vita to arrive before this Friday (I pre-ordered it online). I'm super stoked to try out the Vita apps, Uncharted: GA, Little Deviants, and some o...
That memory comment is something that comes up incredibly often when asked about next-gen hardware. Sony and Microsoft better make sure to add no less than 4GB of RAM in their next consoles. Along with at least 1GB of VRAM on their GPU.
That way they'd be future proof for at least 5 or so years (VRAM may be questionable, but it's not terrible. Few games need more than that).
Anyhow, looking forward to Borderlands 2. It'll be me and my girlfriends...
The shitty part is that the Vita is going to also be able to be played online, which means once people hack it, all the legit online players will be losing.
Emulators and such are fantastic, but I know 100% that people will be hacking the online games too. Along with many other things privacy related.
Lets just use these controlled platforms for what they were made for. Please.
But that's because they would have actually had to make those characters have HD in-game counterparts, give them voices, and animations. As apposed to just taking something that was already made for them (XIII) and selling it again. So you know you're paying for something they actually had to work on. Copy-paste work shouldn't be rewarded (even tho I bought it lol).
I haven't played the Lightning DLC yet (bought it tho), but I really want to know why armoured ...
That's all I needed to know. I've had it on my wishlist since I first saw footage and heard the idea behind the game. This is a must buy, for sure.
:EDIT:
Oh, and about the chat up top about this being the last PS3 exclusive game they make; I don't think this is going to be the case. TGC has stated before it would be too difficult to develop for two platforms, so they'll likely be sticking to only one. And the obvious choice would be Sony as they suppo...
I think the Vita may take the cake for me as well. PS3 game cases are my current favorite, but I'm digging their PS3-mini style case.
I think the reason they're doing this is because LBP is supposed to be Sony's Super Mario. So it only makes sense for them to make a LittleBigPlanet kart racing game.
I'm sure we'll see Sackboy show up in more gameplay styles sometime in the future.
I have a feeling this game is going to be very good. And I usually don't fall for these cheap attention grabbing tactics. I don't feel that way about this one tho.
Will be keeping an eye open.
There is two ways this can work.
One: They stop developing so many games and focus on console features and massive advertising budgets, and get tons of "gamers" to buy their console. Which leads more to a entertainment device/social platform, rather than a gaming console.
Two: They continue to take risks, develop games as their main selling point, but space them out so we don't get more than 5 exclusives per year (I'd say keep at around 2-3)...
This is much too rough to say every developer should listen to their fans. Because they may all be a fan of the same game/series, but all have different opinions on how the game/series should be, or evolve.
And usually, gamers can be very jaded in the sense of wanting it to cater specifically to them, and only them, without really thinking about anyone else who may want to hop into the game without knowing too much about it.
And like many others have alread...
It'd be very, very interesting if they added Cloud Strife, Warrior of Light and such as additional characters if what this says is true.
Then we'd finally be able to see Cloud in all his HD-gameplay Glory.
That's not how this works though. Seeing as Jailbreaking a device leads to crimes, it needs to go. Just because the Jailbreaking process doesn't pirate a game, music, or app, doesn't mean it isn't responsible for people who do so when a device is jailbroken.
If nobody did that in the first place, then these problem would be a non-issue.
I personally believe if the people who made these jailbreak methods properly secured the device from any mis...
I don't think Jailbreaking alone is a crime, since it's MAIN intentions is to allow more freedom on a device. But I fully believe crime follows when something is Jailbreaked. And that I am 99% sure of.
But as most things go, if something is plagued mostly by criminals, or wrong-doers, it has to be canned. Maybe if they kept this stuff within a very tight-nit community, it would have worked out better.
Rather than fighting actually companies (over th...
I didn't even think of this.
It's a fantastic idea. They should just get this out of the way and release a 'mash-up' game with all their first party and some third party characters in a mini-game style... game.
Sort of like a mix between Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party and the sort.
I hope this isn't the game Mm is working on. They said they wanted to step away from LBP for a while and make something else.
I'm not saying I hate the idea of LBPKarting, but I certainly don't like the idea of a creative studio like Mm wasting talent on the project. Hopefully Sony did the right thing and gave it to another studio.
Yes a millions times over. Demos, videos and screenshots should be mandatory on services like the PSN. Steam & the Xbox Live marketplace do it. Even PSN Japan does it (although they also seem to be able to change their PSN ID as well).
Sony needs to step their game up on this. Maybe the SEN name change will be the first step in the right direction.
It's an old game and an old idea, but it's still fun for those who have fun with it. That's not the problem here though. Jaffe had no issue with the review.
The problem is that the reviewer went and spazzed on the community. He attacked the people who read his reviews. And not only that, but he reviewed a game he knew he'd hate. That's not an open minded review and shouldn't be G4's "poster child" review on their website, or on TV.
