Or you could just avoid the DLC and spend that money on a developer that won't be screwing you over again.
Since you'd essentially be spending money on the DLC that will be funding the next Xbox360 timed-exclusive piece of DLC that will get a sloppy port over to the PS3.
Don't do it since I think that'll be what we get on next weeks' PS+ update.
:EDIT: Although I do find it odd they got it before us when Super Bot is based in the States.
That's not true at all. Sony is known to support their older consoles when the new ones launch. Not everyone wants to buy the new hardware instantly.
The PS4 still has a huge chance of coming out in late 2013. It just means Sony hasn't lost it's way with supporting older hardware (like they supported the PS1 and PS2 for 3 or so years after the successors were released).
I find it absolutely ridiculous that people actually think that the PS4 releas...
I'd assume it's something from Media Molecule and Guerrilla Games. Since they're both out of Europe, and both said to be working on new IPs (they announced it themselves right after Killzone 3 and LBP2 came out).
So I wouldn't be surprised to see those games there.
I'm incredibly curious.
I love this comment. Couldn't of said it better myself.
I really want to say something about those car pictures, but I'll just keep quiet on that one. But I can say those pictures the frog and weird monster-person look fantastic. I'm not sure if we need video games to look like that, but I sure as hell would want it.
The Single Player is made by Bioware Edmonton and the MP is made by Bioware Montreal, both in Canada.
As for the MP, they've apparently been making it since mid-late ME2 development, and since it wasn't ready for launch, they "ditched" it. Which then became it's own "FPS MP-only digital release", which again changed into the MP mode we have now.
So pretty much anyone who complains about MP DLC being made should think that we ...
Easy answer:
1.) Bioware Edmonton should focus on Single Player
2.) Bioware Montreal should focus on Multiplayer
Problem solved!
Same here. Still have my collectors edition sitting on my shelf. Can't wait to pop it open again and platinum the poop out of this game.
Um, Ubisoft Toronto is NOT a "French developer", it's a Canadian Developer. Still exists within Canada, which would also make them an 'American' developer as Canada is in North America.
And I have to disagree with this. Europe and Asia (specifically Japan) may pump out some high quality games, but I tend to play more made from North America. Mass Effect (Canada), Uncharted (USA), Dragon Age (Canada), Half Life/Portal/L4D/CS/TF2 (USA/Canada), Deus Ex: HR ...
@title:
Not at all. It'd be an interesting and rough transition, but it would work out in the long run. Especially since Valve is most likely swimming in money with Steam, and it's digital only with no ability to re-sell games, or buy used.
Used games can probably disappear completely within the next 10 years (closer to the end part) and it wouldn't be missed. Since most will be full, or majority digital or cloud by then.
"N4PS3G" my ass. There's all sorts of fanboys here, and the only time arguments happen (on PS3 related articles, no less) is when useless Xbox Fanjerks decide to rain on PS3 fans' parades.
So don't go swinging that comment now that Microsoft isn't doing as well as they were for the first 3 or so years. Playstation fans lived with the ridicule for the first few years, now man up and take it.
I was about to make a "smirky" comment on how it wouldn't matter (@ the title), but your comment smacked some sense into me.
The truth is Microsoft wouldn't buy Activision. But instead would go for individual developers if they so choose.
That's exactly how I feel.
We don't need them, but they sure as hell are wonderful to have. Even if it's not console exclusive, and exclusive for other platforms like PC, or Smartphones, exclusives attempt to show the strengths of the platform they're made for.
Not to mention they're good for business on Sony's, Microsoft's, or Nintendo's side (or Valve with Steam, and EA with Origin).
Sure, it may look pretty, but when the draw distance is tiny, and the city lacks any life unless you're within 50 or so feet radius, people will understand why a new generation is needed.
Open world games become lifeless at a certain distance from the ground, or even while on the ground because the hardware can't have all that stuff happening at once.
It was very noticeable in Saints Row The Third, and I kept dreaming about how awesome a game like th...
I think everyone pretty much has this down. And my thoughts are exactly the same. "Really? That soon?" I expect a pre-order bonus for BF4 to be a beta for the next Medal of Honor too.
Anyhow, I'm not sure how to take this cycle. The positive side is that both the games are different. So it can't exactly get fatigued the same as Call of Duty, since it isn't the same game being released every year. But, I can definitely see the FPS genre as a whole gettin...
Wow, these new maps look very open. I can already tell they're going to be difficult.
Haha! Finally! I'm so stoked about this. I'll be trying my hardest to Platinum this one for sure. It's a must have.
I don't think Sony even has OUYA on their radar.
If anything, they'll probably be happy it's out for the hope that those trying to hack the PS3 will just move over to the much easier to fiddle with "OUYA". Since OUYA is pretty much meant for those who wanted an open platform, and it's meant for hackers, or game developers.
Sony's competition is still Microsoft and Nintendo. OUYA can live next to them without a problem, at least ...
