Same with Team Fortress 2. You get new weapons and such for getting certain achievements.
The difference between consoles and computers is the fact that one is owned fully by one single Publisher, and most developers need to follow their rules and such. One being Sony and Microsoft must have trophies/achievements.
PC on the other hand isn't solely meant for gaming. It's just a small fraction of PC uses. So when you look at PC, it gives you plenty of options for one single platform (Steam, Origin, GFWL, etc).
As for the title of this arti...

Wikipedia isn't always right. And 'learnt' is very much a word.
Remember, just because you don't use that word in the US, doesn't mean it isn't a real word somewhere else in the world.
No.
Well if Littlebigplanet 2 is telling at all, I'm very interested in how Sony will be using PS3/Vita combo (watch the Gamescom demo for those who don't know).
Just imagine playing an FPS game on the PS3, while using the Vita to help out with Air support, or putting objectives down on the map for them. Maybe even use the Vita as a UAV or something.
Although to be honest, it's hard to see it used outside of Survival modes, or mini-games. Sure you cou...
If they release it in September for the Xbox in order to get that timed exclusive BS out of the way, I probably wouldn't mind buying this.
But only because it'd be fun to play a Halloween themed piece of DLC ON Halloween. If they go and only allow Xbox users to get it on Halloween, then I'll avoid this developer like the plague. I'm not going to play Halloween themed DLC in November. It just won't make any sense and will lack any of the appeal I currently...
Well this is exactly it. With Mass Effect 3's current ending, it gives the series so much more potential. And I'm assuming the "red" ending is the proper direction you'll see the series go with the next ME (given Shepard still lived at the end).
Since having Reapers on your side would just make it far too overpowered.
As for the old ending, it'd essentially kill off all human life. Or maybe since Dark Energy was the problem, you...
It's coming to the PSN? Well I never knew that! lol Good for those who are moving to digital games.
It looks good, but it also looks like it's missing something. It has to do with the colours in the images. There is definitely something missing, but I can't put my finger on it.
Oh well, until they add whatever it is they're missing, I can't honestly be impressed by it.
:EDIT: Oh, never mind. I literally posted and shortly after figured out there were more pictures. It was the lighting. The engine does look fantastic. 10, 17 and 18 are the pi...
Well they sort of already did this with Sound Shapes. So I'd assume they'll be doing it with other games.
Yeah, not only is it a normal Dualshock controller (helps a lot with Sony's "gamepad shape thing" add-on), but it also has a front and rear touch panel with a camera(essentially a mobile Eyetoy). These features could greatly extend the type of games the PS3 can play.
We'll be seeing how it works when the update for LBP2 comes out, since it's Playstation's first game to use the Vita as a gamepad.
I think they should start doing this when they drop the price of the Vita and PS3. They could drop the price to about $199 if you buy the PS3 or Vita ($149) individually. And sell them bundled for around $249-$300.
This would be brilliant since it'd really push their "play on PS3 and continue on Vita" thing they're going for. Not to mention they're going to be adding the ability to use the Vita as a PS3 gamepad, starting with LBP2.
This...
I could see them relaunching some of their older franchises if PSAS is a success, and depending on some of the most used characters.
Since PSAS is practically a way to get Parappa and such in people's minds again.
I also think the Vita is a fantastic platform choice to revive them on since it's said to be much easier to develop for than the PS3. So it's not like they'll lose much if they developed a game for it and it didn't sell over a m...
Seeing how EA handled this with Dragon Age 2 from Origins, and how Mass Effect got harder to mod, and you can even get banned (unless this is changed now) for modding any files for ME3 on Origin, it's sort of easy to see why they couldn't tell the reason.
EA doesn't see money in allowing gamers to create things themselves. It's easier to block it, and release DLC.
I think they might have chosen this Dante not only because the name is of Playstation origin, but because Ninja Theory made one of the first PS3 games, and so it sort of advertises a developer as well.
I honestly don't mind the new Dante, and I plan on using him as my main. But I also see where everyone is coming from. This Dante is a multiplatform character, not a Playstation character. Same goes with Big Daddy. Born on the Xbox and PC, yet somehow manages to be a Playst...
I'm very curious as to why this game looks like such shit. I'm very confident that they could have ported over the first Black Ops almost directly to the Vita and still get 30FPS with some very slight modifications.
Especially when you look at Uncharted GA, Killzone Mercs, Gravity Rush, Tearaway, and Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation, to name a few. They all look fantastic, or damn near their current-gen console counterparts. Why can't Call of Duty look better tha...
All console makers do it, yes, but Microsoft has been disgustingly obnoxious with it this generation. It's like their entire Xbox360 is built around the idea of timed exclusives.
And what's wrong with this? Sony stopped them. He didn't say they were canceled games, or trashed. Not to mention they were nice enough to give them back the rights and make it Multiplatform.
They could have easily killed the IP like most other publishers do, but they didn't.
This oddly enough reminds me of Christmas.
I don't need to read the reasons because I already own it on PC/PS3.
Seriously, it's Counter-Strike, what more do you need to know?
