Awwh man. I was actually looking forward to having some hidden characters. Or have boss types that you can unlock and make playable.
Oh well, no surprises I guess lol
It would honestly seem very easy to make a list of games developed under Konami. Especially when all those games are fairly well known, and mostly excellent games.
No, but they'll compliment them quite nicely. It's been that way for ages with handheld gaming and laptops, I'm sure it'll stay the same with tablets.
:EDIT:
One way it could compliment Console gaming is like what Microsoft is doing the smartglass, Sony will be doing with the Vita and maybe Sony tablets, and Nintendo with their Wii-U Tabletpad.
They can be used as extensions to the controllers/gamepads/KB&M. Giving the gamer an ex...
Oh lord! Why didn't I think of that. I would be in Metal Gear gaming heaven if these two were remade.
:EDIT: Oh, I thought I'd point out the obvious and say there's 4 days of Gamescom, it also takes place in Europe, 4 "surprises" will be announced and the MGSAni site is Konami Europe.
So it pretty much confirms these will be announced at Gamescom. I assume they'll be:
1. MGS5
2. MGS5 Vita (or an MGS game on t...
Wait, why was he in Texas when there's a perfectly good Bioware studio at his hometown? If they needed some direction, they could have just got him to consult for a few months then let him go home.
Valkyria Chronicles and Heavenly Sword are high on my list of "trophies wanted". I can't really think of any others I care about more than those, and the recently patched MGS4.
Although it would have been nice if Sony went back and patched all previously released PS3 exclusives to allow for trophies.
If they remade MGS1 on MGS4's engine with the gameplay enhancements MGS4 & Peacewalker brought, my life would be complete (for a few years).
Although I don't think that'll happen anytime soon, it would be amazing. I just want anything MGS related that isn't Revengeance.
Wow, so this is the day features sell consoles, and games are a nice thing to have on the side. This is easily the worst generation gaming has ever seen.
Thanks Microsoft.
Maybe next generation everyone should see Microsoft's success with making fancy menus, and everyone will slow down the development of games so people can chat with their friends, or watch netflix on their $300-$500 GAMING console./s
Why is anyone surprised that the developers old games are going to be like their new games?
Naughty Dogs' Uncharted and The Last of Us share similarities (and will probably share more when we play LoU).
Valve's Half Life, Portal and Team Fortress share similarities.
Epic's Gears of War and Unreal Tournament share very close similarities.
The "legendary" id Software's Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake and R...
I could really care less what sexual orientation my character is. Not all gay people are flamboyant and pretending to be girls (or the other way around). For all a lot of you know, you probably work with someone who is gay, or walk by plenty of gay guys/girls every day.
Now I personally won't ever go anywhere that is mainly for gay people since that's not my thing (Gay Pride parades, gay bars, stores full of gay folk, etc). But I also don't expect anyone else to ...
I'm usually not a fan of your posts, but I fully agree with this comment. I've most likely been a DMC fan longer than some of these folks complaining, but I can't stomach the old games anymore. They're beyond cheese.
So the second I saw the new DmC's direction, I actually found myself WANTING to play a new DMC. After DMC4 I was done with the series, but not anymore. I've pre-ordered this game and I can't wait for it to come out.
Wow, I've been mostly positive about this game, but I'll be waiting for a more "complete" character roster before I buy. I was originally gung-ho on pre-ordering, but like I said, I'll be waiting.
If it's full of new third party characters that were born this generation and available on multiple consoles, I won't be buying it.
When I think Playstation All-stars, I'm thinking PLAYSTATION All-stars. Not PSWii60 All-stars. May a...
I'm okay with this. Especially since the art in the first Bioshock is pretty much what helped make it what it is. Just as long as I get to play this game sometime next year. Sooner than later, of course.
Yeah, it changed from Doom being recreated over and over with a different title, to Call of Duty being recreated over and over with a different title.
The only difference is Call of Duty games, and other FPS's released now-a-days are FAR more varied. You look at every FPS from the "Doom days", and you'll see they were all practically identical.
At least now you have Halo, Call of Duty, Killzone, Counter-Strike, Medal of Honor, Borderlands, B...
Once again, more hints towards the coming next generation. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Valve also announced Source 2 and Half Life Ep3/3 at the same time.
And @ those folks up top, Doom 4 will most definitely be a multiplatform title (PC/PS4/X720).
I wouldn't doubt it. I also wouldn't doubt that Square moved Versus XIII to PS4 on account of being too ambitious, and Sony moved The Last Guardian to the PS4 for the same reason.
Just like Guerrilla Games, Sucker Punch and Media Molecule are probably all working on PS4 launch titles now.
These consoles are done. More games can be made for the current consoles, but in order to allow developers to actually have some wiggle room and creative freedom, we...
Scary games don't sell anymore. But that doesn't mean we'll never get scared in games. There can still be "high-tension fear" parts in non-horror games.
This is very, very possible and I believe that is the proper evolution of the horror game genre. Not to mention it was always more of a sub-genre type, rather than it's own full genre which is kind of why GOOD horror games are few and far between, and it's even more rare for them to succeed. <...
I'll just go ahead and download this now... Skyrim for PC never fails to impress.
Um, yeah. This guy pretty much nailed it on the head. That "next-gen" they're talking about is the current one.
I'm not going to say anything other than re-read that bit and read every other point they list (obviously directed at those who believe it's a truly next-gen title).
I know more is always better, but now my Vita will start getting a backlog above my already established PC and PS3 backlog. I was actually perfectly fine with the amount of Vita games coming out, since I already have 4-5 games, and had 2 or so pre-ordered for Q4 2012.
Now I have over 10-15 games on PC, around 10 games on PS3 and I will have plenty more on the Vita that I'll need to finish (or start, for some of them).
