Why? Unless they can successfully compete and earn our patronage through great prices, convenience and service why should people go out of their way to prop up those businesses. Out of charity?

Successful department stores like Walmart provide many jobs and are successful for one reason only: people CHOOSE to go there rather than somewhere else. Nobody is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to shop at Walmart. People go there because the prices are good and the number...

I do think it likely that MS will enter the handheld market soon.

If Microsoft make a handheld I think it will turn out pretty awesome. I hope this turns out to be true.

Sounds like an interesting concept and I am looking forward to hearing more about it at E3.

Well, your comment was stupid and I'll tell you why. We don't know enough about APB to even know if it is going to be a good game, so how ignorant do you have to be to claim that it is going to tip the scales in Microsoft's favor?

I own both consoles as well and I don't care which consoles you own, your comment was a trollish fanboy comment. It was made purely to incite and the lack of maturity in your second comment proves that.

Everybody is going to have differen...

This sounds really good. I hope it succeeds. All the trendy Wallmart haters need to get a clue.

Looks really, really fun. I can't wait.

Nobody cares what you think. Your posting history shows that you are nothing but a one-sided Xbox fanboy. My posting history shows I say good things about both consoles and I think inFamous looks brilliant.

That's probably why inFamous has a metacritic average of 90, because its nothing special right? Damn you guys are so ridiculous. Somehow this game just happens not to look good to you guys, yet games that received far lower scores like Lost Planet are made out to be thes...

Well Mart, of course, you magically somehow think almost no game on the PS3 is good. Yet even games I thought were fairly average on the 360 you make out to be the best games ever. You are fanboy troll, that's why. Just look at your stupid avatar pic.

Bullsht! Uncharted is one of the smoothest and most non-aliased games I have ever seen, so obviously the PS3 can do great anti-aliasing. The thing is, it is always a matter of trade-offs. inFamous is doing some incredible stuff with lighting, physics, scale, nice textures (for an open-world game), and great animations so a few jaggies here and there are a small trade-off.

But honestly, the aliasing is not that bad at all. In fact, it has about as much aliasing as games like...

A new hero for a new era - Ezio Auditore de Firenze.

Assassin's Creed was an awesome game. The narrative, the atmosphere, the enormous and gorgeous cities, the fluid animations, the climbing and free-running mechanics, the combat system, the stealth kills and the freedom of gameplay in general made Assassin's Creed one of my favorite games of all time.

Sure it would have been even better if it would have had a little more variety in the mission types. But in all truthfulness it wasn't really any more repetitive than many types of...

Actually, Naughty Dog had around 70 people on their team towards the end of the production of Uncharted. The Naughty Dog team has got much bigger for Uncharted 2, but still, 450 people working on Assassin's Creed 2...that's just massive.

I can't wait for Assassin's Creed 2. The first one is in my top 5 favorite games this generation.

Yet even with its repetition it is still better than 90% of the games that have come out this generation.

Besides, people exaggerate its repetitiveness. The truth is, games like Gears of War or Resistance are essentially just as repetitive. I think some people simply don't understand what a game like Assassin's Creed is about.

Assassin's Creed had more variety than similar games like Tenchu, which also happens to be one of my favorite games, and I had an absolute...

The first game, despite its faults was still one of the best games I have played this generation, and it is obvious that Ubisoft Montreal are well aware of the first game's negatives and are on course to make a much improved sequel in all areas.

Assassin's Creed was awesome and Assassin's Creed 2 is going to be a whole new level of awesome.

Oh yes, I hope we get a new Tenchu!

All electronics devices have a certain percentage that fail.

The only thing I know for sure is that my 360 has died on me three times, while my PS3 has never had a problem. Also, it seems like half the people I know with 360s have had it fail on them at one point. I think it is obvious that the the 360s RROD problems are on another whole level compared to other consoles.

Both consoles have their strengths and weaknesses. What ultimately matters is how they are utilized and taken advantage of.

As a dual-console owner I think the PS3 exclusives have so far been more graphically impressive in general. That said, I do believe that the 360 is capable of putting out better graphics than what we have seen if only Microsoft would invest a little more in their console. Sony has the first-party resources to really bring out the graphical potential of th...

Well, if they read all that stuff Mooks wrote and linked to I don't see why they wouldn't read this as well.

Anyway, I own both games and Uncharted does look better. However, Gears is also a very nice looking game and I don't see why fanboys on both sides are always trying to tear down games on the other console.

6238d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Of course Gears looks pretty good in screen shots. Its strongest point are the textures, which show up easily in screen shots. Textures, however, are only one element among many that play a role in how good a game's graphics are.

Gears definitely has better textures than, say, MGS4. On the other hand, the lighting in MGS4 blows away the lighting in Gears of War.

As far as how the graphics look on an actual HDTV in motion, Uncharted is definitely a step above Gea...
