Judging by the screenshots I think the PS3 version looks a little more natural or film-like even. The 360 version looks a little more video-gamey, the edges are harder and the color balance isn't as accurate.
All in all, though, they look basically identical.
I really hope we find out some solid info soon. I have been waiting for this game for forever. I am a huge Splinter Cell fan and still have all the original games on Xbox. Double Agent wasn't quite as good, but it was a solid game nonetheless.
Please give us some info Ubisoft! I can't wait.
I saw some stuff on this game in a recent GameInformer and I think it has a lot of potential. I have my eye on this game. Looks awesome.
Eurogamer is my least trusted game review source, simply because I tend to disagree with their reviews more often than not.
I understand what you are trying to say and I agree with you to a point.
But of course it is only natural to favor those review sources that tend to have the same taste as you. If over and over I disagree with a particular reviewer then I will tend not to pay attention to their opinions.
Exactly. With movies I read up on the plot, consider who is acting in it, who wrote the screenplay, who directed it and I make a decision about whether I think I will like it. Once I have seen a movie and decided I liked it I could care less what other people thought of it.
I am the same way with games and I don't understand why people put so much stock in that little number that comes at the end of the review.
As long as it does well there will be sequels. And it doesn't need to sell like Wii Fit or Halo to do well.
The other thing is, one of the purposes of first party software is to make the hardware more attractive.
Infamous is going to succeed in both of these ways.
Whenever the subject of which games are true masterpieces comes up two games enter my mind first: ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. Those games were masterful. I mean, true works of art. And you can tell right away from just this few minute long trailer that this third Team Ico game is going to be as well.
Oh, and who in the world thought the graphics were disappointing. To my eyes those are easily some of the most impressive graphics I have ever seen in a game. Nevertheless,...
The mass market would rather buy crap, that's why. Just look at the Wii and its runaway success....does it really have the game quality to deserve that? I don't think so.
I loved Okami and I love the Team Ico games. It's just sad that good games often don't sell as well as mediocre games.
All the positive impressions from the demo and now all of these positive reviews are making me really anxious to play the game. It really looks like an amazing game and has the style and context that I like in an open-world game (I don't like the typical play-as-a-thug open world games).
Congratulations Sucker Punch. An excellent job on your first game this generation!
Yeah, take the Gameplayer review of this game. They say all these great things about the game and the only real negative they expressed was that they thought the graphics engine lacked a little polish. Then they slap an 8.5 on it. Very inconsistent.
I really don't like numerical review scores. If a gamer is too lazy to read the review and use that to decide whether they think they would like the game, then what's the point?
I haven't had the chance to play the demo yet, but from all the videos I have seen the gameplay looks great. I also thought the graphics looked pretty nice for a game of its type.
Anyway, I don't really understand how they arrived at the score they did based on their written review, but nevertheless they obviously really liked it. Sounds like it is going to be a great game.
I loved the first game and it sounds like they are making some really great improvements for the sequel.
As far as technical merits, Assassin's Creed is still one of the best-looking games available on consoles and in my opinion probably the best-looking game with such a large scale. The main negatives of the first game's performance was the occasional screen-tearing and a bit of pop-in. If they manage to fix those issues, Assassin's Creed 2 will be impressive indeed.

@Deathrow
I agree. Killzone 2 is my favorite shooter this generation so far. Single player campaign is a blast and online is simply the best I have played. COD4 used to be my favorite, but Killzone 2 is my new addiction.
I think you are jumping to conclusions that it cost 60 million to make. Besides, it has sold well over a million worldwide. It has most likely made a profit in my opinion.
That may or may not be true in this case, but I would be willing to bet that the majority of DLC for most games would still be made.
This would benefit everyone. Gamers of either console would all get equal access to any extra content for the third-party games they have purchased for their console of choice and Microsoft would have more money to invest in truly NEW experiences for gamers.
Well, this is interesting. It has become apparent that very few 3rd party games or DLC are ever truly exclusive to one platform. I kept telling people when this generation was just getting started that they shouldn't count on ANY 3rd party games staying exclusive to one console, and that prediction continues to be born out.
Given that I am often a year behind on the games I play (except for my most anticipated games) it often turns out that a so-called 360 exclusive ends up com...
Very good points. The supposed support for OnLive pretty much blasts a hole in the idea of this being true. I can't envision a scenario in which it would make sense for MS to support a rival service.
I still have a feeling that MS is working on something.
Don't worry about it, man.
Awesome. I love this game.
