Suicide Squad is being made by Rocksteady (who made Arkahm Asylum, City and Knight).

This game ("Gotham Knights"?) Is being made by WB Montreal (who made Arkham Origins).

Agreed. But at least they're coming quickly now. I remember one of the teasers coming out around last September...

Wait, am I missing something? Where does Cassandra Cain come into this? The issue referred to is the debut of Barbara Gordon's Batgirl. I can't see any reference to Cassandra Cain at all.

Unexpected is a bit of a stretch. The character is a Tony Hawk staple character, and the cameo itself has been rumoured since a week or so after the game was announced.

Collectibles can be great. I'm currently playing Control, and each collectible (documents) makes the world feel so much richer. When collectibles add something to the experience, they are great!

Monolith aren't scheduled to be at the DC Fandome event as far as I can see. I assume they're working on the next Shadow of Mordor game.

I don't know whether you're joking or not...!

A prequel would be great. But from job listings, it seems the game will be set in a brand new location.

To me, the moon/space station would be too similar to so many other games. BioShock has always thrived on doing things that are new and surprising.

Underground is definitely a possibility, though it would be challenging to make it visually stunning - something else the series is known for.

I'm just glad it's not me having to d...

The physics are nothing like the last HD remake; I checked out the previous HD remake a couple of weeks ago (I played it when it came out), and was horrified by the physics in that game. I even had to go back and play some of the earlier games to make sure it wasn't just me. Trust me; this is much more like the originals.

And if the presence of mechanics and tricks that weren't in the originals (such as reverts) offends you, then maybe try... not using them?

I would assume that this game is still set in the Arkhamverse (or at least, a variation of it). Therefore, I would like to think we are safe from Bling Joker. Rocksteady's interpretations of characters have ALWAYS seemed conservative and faithful to the original source.

It's certainly possible. Though that plot has been used already in Lego DC Super-Villains. I realise that many will not consider that to be in the same league as this game, but itbwould be odd to use the same plot (which was, in itself, an adaptation of the Forever Evil story arch).

I loved the Batmobile. It was such a thrill plummeting from the edge of a building and having the Batmonile slide remotely into position directly beneath so that Batman would just dive straight inside. Then speeding off through Gotham. And even the tank battles weren't bad - they just felt a bit out-of-place. But mechanically, the vehicle combat felt robust.

I bought it two days ago, and started the download about an hour before the announcement (so I'm not even eligible for a refund). Haven't even played it yet!

I'm yet to play amy Remedy games (I'm planning on starting Control next week once I've got the platinum for BioShock 2). But this really does fill me with excitement. From what I know of their games, they are deserving of an extended universe.

Very intriguing. It will be interesting to see whether they follow something similar to the Doomsday Clock storyline to bring them in.

I mean, Watchmen are now officially part of the DC Universe, so why not? I just hope they do a good job!

Not only that, but one rumour (probably unfounded) suggested that the first game would be more of a remake than remaster, and that each game would have significant improvements.

I don't think any of us were saying that Microsoft or Nintendo have more diverse games. In fact, we only compared Sony ro what they were like in the past.

I wholeheartedly believe that Sony produce the best games out of the three. But there's no denying that it's been a while since they brought out a new racing game, for example.

I was thinking exactly the same a few weeks ago. At least they're not all copy-and-paste games like some publishers, but Sony does seem to have lost some of its broader appeal. 10 years ago, they were releasing games in many different genres, but its very rare a AAA Sony game is released that doesn't fit your description.

They're also one of the few developers that seem to really care about the characters and story that they're spinning. Plus, the Dishonored series was one of the truly original feeling games in recent years. There was clearly so much passion that went into the world they crafted.
